Summoner of Nightmares

Gene Gingerline, an ordinary man from Earth, awakens in a new world ruled by summoners—people capable of pulling fictional characters into reality using ancient summoning machines. Summoners create items by writing custom descriptions, and the ancient machines use those descriptions to summon beings from fictional universes.

Unlike most of the summoners, who usually creates heroic fantasy warriors, dragons, or noble champions, Gene realizes he has a unique advantage: knowledge of horror media. While others fear monsters, Gene understands what makes horror powerful. He begins creating terrifying horror-based summons and building an entirely different kind of world.
