Upon returning to the Underground Palace City, the battle was still raging. Although the ritual had concluded, the Demons that had poured out from the Underground Palace had not been dealt with. It would still take some time for things to quiet down completely.

Fortunately, there weren’t many Tier Four Demons left. A battle of this intensity would not have been considered difficult for the Underground Palace City before, to say nothing of the new Extraordinary aid from the Law-Breaking Swordsmen. Handling the situation would only be easier now.

So, after just a cursory glance, Isaac returned to his laboratory, reassured, to study the three items the ritual had given him.

There wasn’t much to say about the Law-Breaking Swordsman legacy item. Like any normal legacy item, it had a limited number of direct uses. The only difference was that it had quite a few more—a full one thousand uses!

Of course, for an entire faction, one thousand uses was still a small number.

That was why, long ago, Wizards had created an initiation ritual to supplement legacy items. This ritual could vastly improve a legacy item’s efficiency. It was what gave a new lease on life to those Paths of the Extraordinary that lacked Cultivation methods or had harsh requirements, allowing them to flourish among the lower-level Transcendents.

Isaac gave it a quick look. The traditional initiation ritual would be effective on it without needing many modifications. ’Looks like I can really squeeze some more Gold Coins out of my brother.’

Of course, even if it required modifications, the amount of Gold Coins Isaac could squeeze out wouldn’t be any less. After all, unlike him, the Grand Arcanist was bound to the territory. This bond was far more secure than that of the Grand Arcanists recruited by other domains.

To put it one way, as long as his father and Caesar were alive, she would never leave Solomon Territory, no matter how many generations it passed through.

Of course, this bond wasn’t without its price. Solomon had to provide a great deal of her research funding.

’Unfortunately, I’m a Mad Witch with a terrible reputation. Otherwise, I’d love to be bound to the territory, too, and just be a freeloader who has everything handed to him...’

He sighed.

With a sigh, Isaac put away the Law-Breaking Sword and unfurled the rather ancient Sheepskin Scroll—Architectural Magic: Underground Palace!

The Underground Palace. Isaac had a profound appreciation for its indescribable benefits, something he believed any Wizard who had entered this world would share.

’The Magic Materials are so damn plentiful!’

It was just like a dungeon from a game in his past life. It respawned weekly, and clearing it out yielded a huge pile of Magic Materials!

The only drawback was that any single Underground Palace produced a relatively limited variety of materials.

Unfortunately, this drawback carried over to the architectural magic Isaac had received. The Underground Palaces built with this magic were practically identical to those in the Wilderness World, both in their respawn times and material output.

Even their power ceiling was the same; an Underground Palace could only produce Demons up to Tier Four at most.

’I wonder if I’ll be able to optimize it in the future.’

’However...’

Isaac glanced at his own diverse collection of Dimension Worlds. ’With these, the variety of materials produced by my Underground Palace shouldn’t be too small, right?’

Looking at the Sheepskin Scroll, Isaac was itching to build an Underground Palace just to try his hand at it. In the end, though, he put it away. Now was not the time.

Besides, he couldn’t build it here. The Underground Palace City had plenty of its own and didn’t need another one from him. While there was no limit to how many he could build, generating materials required Magic Power. Given the power of his Dimension Worlds, he could support one Underground Palace at most. He had to save it for his own Wizard Organization.

But the most important thing about it was the power of Creation it contained!

Creation, whether as the highest-level Authority or a lesser one, was, like Analysis, considered an Advanced Authority. It was the most difficult of all to master.

Although it was useless in a fight, all Wizards still pursued it relentlessly.

This was because it touched upon the world’s most fundamental rules!

It was the Authority of the legendary Creator!

To date, in all the records from the Flesh Sect and the Truth Association, Isaac had yet to see a single Wizard or Deity who possessed the primary Authority of Creation. There were quite a few who possessed a lesser Authority of it, but unfortunately, that kind of Authority was almost exclusively in the hands of True Gods...

This had always been a regret for Isaac. ’But this time, maybe I can use this magic to try and master the Authority of Creation.’

But that was a matter for later. For now...

Isaac stroked his chin and frowned, looking at the egg in the Ritual Array with a troubled expression.

’This stupid ritual’s reward didn’t even come with an instruction manual. It’s one thing for my Analysis Authority to fail, but for even the version Enhanced by the ritual to be useless? Isn’t that a bit overpowered?’

’Well, I’m happy to have hit such a jackpot, but it’s pretty frustrating not being able to use it...’

After pondering for a while to no avail, Isaac sighed and put the egg away. He sent a message to Mephisto, instructing him to tally up the Demon Materials harvested during the turmoil, then took a step into a jagged tear in the Void and departed the Underground Palace City.

「In the blink of an eye」, Isaac arrived outside a Barrier high above a Magic Castle.

This was where the Silver-robed Mage resided. ’He should know something about what the ritual produced, right?’

’Olisti happens to be here too, so communication shouldn’t be too difficult... hopefully.’
