Chapter 362: Chapter 265: Mop Stained with Shit

"Hm?"

Gallard and the Grey-robed Mage noticed the golden radiance the moment it enveloped the trio. They weren’t blind, after all. The golden divine light only concealed their auras; it didn’t render them completely invisible.

As Gallard and the Grey-robed Mage watched, the golden light dissipated, revealing three fully armed figures.

"Solomon? It’s you?" Gallard stared at Isaac in astonishment.

He had so many enemies that he’d lost count, but he hadn’t forgotten all of them. He had a strong impression of the absurdly powerful ones, and the particularly unique ones.

The former inspired fear, the latter, curiosity.

Fear was easy to understand. As for curiosity...

Take Isaac, for example. In just a few short years, he had gone from an Ordinary person to a High-level Mage. He was also a fellow Mad Witch—and that was the most important part!

His reputation for madness was widely known even within the Mad Witch Association...

It was hard not to take notice.

And so, Gallard was also reminded of the grudge between himself and the Solomon Clan.

He just never expected Isaac to have the guts to come looking for him...

But Gallard wasn’t the only one surprised. Isaac was also taken aback by the Grey-robed Mage standing beside Gallard...

He could tell the Grey-robed Mage lacked the aura of a Mad Witch. A normal Wizard, running with a Mad Witch...

’Quite bold.’

"Looks like you remember. That simplifies things." Isaac shook his head, then glanced at the Divine Corpse of the Star God the two were working on, his brow furrowing slightly. "Resurrecting a Star God? You’re insane."

At these words, the corners of the mouths of Gallard, his companion, Caesar, and Lorna all twitched in unison. ’You have the nerve to call someone else insane? Who here is more insane than you?’

As his lips twitched, Caesar narrowed his eyes at the Grey-robed Mage. "This is a personal matter between the Solomons and him. Are you going to interfere?"

"Knight of the Love God, I’ve heard your name. But I’m afraid he is an important partner of mine." As he spoke, the Grey-robed Mage pushed up a pair of gold-rimmed glasses that had just appeared on the bridge of his nose.

"He’s just a partner. You can find another. You must have heard of my brother, Isaac. Surely he’s qualified to be your partner, right?"

Hearing this, Gallard’s heart tightened. He couldn’t help but glance at the Grey-robed Mage. In all honesty, Caesar’s proposal was extremely tempting and highly feasible.

The Grey-robed Mage was working with him because he was a Mad Witch—someone with sufficient knowledge of Evil Gods but not too much reverence.

As a Mad Witch...

Isaac fit the description perfectly...

But...

Faced with what Gallard considered an incredibly tempting offer, the Grey-robed Mage shook his head decisively, for one reason...

"Your brother was actually my first choice, but he’s too crazy."

Everyone: "..."

Caesar and Lorna glanced at Isaac, sighed, and charged toward Gallard!

They left the Grey-robed Mage to Isaac, because he was the strongest.

"What a shame..." Isaac looked at the Grey-robed Mage and sighed with regret. Behind him, a tide of sinister, crimson Magic Power gathered, coalescing into a series of sharp, menacing purple Magic Arrays.

The Grey-robed Mage’s movements were just as swift. Like Isaac, a Mysterious Magic Mark appeared on his forehead, but his was a Mysterious silver, filled with the aura of Magic, unlike Isaac’s sinister red.

Behind him, too, floated countless Magic Arrays, a dazzling and endless display of Shaping Magic.

Clearly, when it came to using vast amounts of Magic Power, Wizards of different schools all had the same approach—absolute Firepower!

"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"

"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"

Accompanied by a deafening magical roar, countless black Magic Beams shot from behind Isaac, streaking toward the Grey-robed Mage like dark comets. At the same time, a multi-colored tide of Magic surged from behind the Grey-robed Mage toward Isaac.

Seeing this, Caesar, Lorna, and Gallard all tactfully distanced themselves from the battlefield, lest they be swept up in the terrifying barrage of Magic.

Of course, that was only one reason. The other was to give themselves more room for their own fight.

As High-level Mages, the most intelligent of the Extraordinary Professions—and with both Isaac and the Grey-robed Mage being paragons among them—their battle was naturally not going to be a simple exchange of spells.

As Isaac’s Magic Beams flew toward the Grey-robed Mage, the man’s eyes, hidden behind gold-rimmed glasses, flashed. His irises turned gold and his pupils narrowed into slits.

Within those slitted pupils, all the Magic Beams were perfectly reflected. Then...

All the Magic Beams dissolved into specks of starlight, dissipating into the air!

Magic Deconstruction. It was a very Advanced magical technique that could, in an instant, analyze a spell’s structure and release a special wave of Magic Power to completely destroy it, causing it to break down into basic Magic Energy.

However, while this technique seemed extremely powerful, the act of deconstructing magic took time. Even if one analyzed the spell’s structure, they might not be able to dismantle it in time. Thus, it was extremely impractical in actual combat and generally only used by High-level Wizards against Low-level Wizards.

But for a Traveler Mage specializing in Creation Magic, this was their preferred method of combat. Their understanding of magical structures had reached an inconceivable level!

Furthermore...

The Grey-robed Mage himself possessed the [Analysis] Authority. Analyzing an opponent’s spells during combat was no problem for him at all.

And while Isaac also had the [Analysis] Authority and knew this technique, he rarely used it in battle. For him, analyzing a spell was easy, but deconstructing it was rather difficult.

Besides, Magic Deconstruction was fundamentally a defensive measure in combat, and Isaac already had plenty of similar abilities...

Just then, the multi-colored tide of Magic surging toward Isaac transformed into a shower of flower petals and dissipated before it could even reach him!

"The Authority of Illusion and Reality?!" The Grey-robed Mage’s pupils shrank. He looked at Isaac with a hint of terror in his eyes.

’Authority...’

Even among Deities, such a thing wasn’t exactly common. It was definitely not something a Tier Three Wizard could research on their own. Combined with the extremely evil power he felt from that Authority, he instantly deduced its source.

After all, Isaac was a Mad Witch!

’But is this guy *that* crazy?!’

The Grey-robed Mage looked at Isaac, took a deep breath, and then a black rift opened behind him, swallowing him whole in an instant!

"Uh..."

Watching the spot where the Grey-robed Mage had vanished, Isaac blinked, then dispersed the Combined Magic he had been forming from the power of three different Evil Gods. He clicked his tongue in disappointment.

’What a shame. It’s not every day you meet a Wizard who’s an expert at Magic Deconstruction. I was really hoping to try out my "shit-smeared mop" tactic on him, but he just had to run off... What a waste...’

Shaking his head, Isaac once again gathered powerful Magic Energy in his hands. A moment later, an invisible Force Field swept toward the other three, who were still locked in battle!
