The Three-eyed Goblin’s ritual went smoothly, and Isaac’s, of course, was even more successful. With a roar from Yelinos, the God of Imaginary Numbers, the transactional ritual officially came to a close, ending in a total victory for Isaac and the Three-eyed Goblin!

He then raised his right hand, which was wreathed in rings of number-like Imaginary Number Runes, a faint light flickering in his eyes.

’This can’t be called a total victory...’

Isaac’s eyebrow twitched. ’It seems that even with my advantages, I can’t underestimate these Outer Gods. I was so careful, yet I still got played...’

Isaac’s goal for this ritual had actually been simple: to modify his Dimension World and give it the ability to store data. For one, by leveraging the Dimension World’s "Infinite" characteristic, he could conduct his research on Deities more effectively. For another, it would add a powerful new Secret Technique System to his arsenal, alongside his Magic Cannons.

And thirdly, it was because it wasn’t a good time for him to be making more deals with Outer Gods—or rather, it wasn’t wise to further increase their power.

He had successfully achieved his first two goals in this transaction. In fact, he had exceeded expectations on the second point. In addition to a series of powerful Secret Skills born from his Dimension World’s new "Infinite - Data" characteristic, he had also obtained a new Talent Spell: Imaginary Number Creation.

That was the circle of number-like Magic Runes currently wreathed around his right hand.

But that was precisely the problem. Imaginary Number Creation was a Talent Spell. A Talent Spell that belonged entirely to Isaac himself. A Talent Spell bestowed by an Outer God.

As a result, this gift from the Outer God caused the world to reject Isaac even more profoundly.

"Tsk." Staring at the ring of illusory numbers on his right hand, Isaac pursed his lips in frustration.

In truth, this issue wasn’t a huge deal. It was even less of a problem now that he had the Infinite Expansion Decree. He could easily counteract this level of rejection with the boons gained from pioneering just a small part of the Wilderness.

’But still...’

’Even if I can fix it easily, the feeling is just... disgusting!’

Isaac sighed in resignation and glanced silently toward the sky, searing the name Yelinos into his memory. ’This grudge... I, Isaac Solomon, will not forget it!’

’But compared to my own issues, the Three-eyed Goblin’s Anchor Point is the real problem...’

Isaac dissipated the Magic Power in his right hand, causing the Imaginary Number Runes to fade from sight. He looked down into the tide of Chaos Magic Power at the Ghost-like Black-robed Wizard sheltered by his Magic Shield.

It wore a pitch-black Wizard Robe, its tattered hem fluttering in an unseen wind. Unlike Isaac’s Wizard’s Three-piece Set—a Wizard Robe, Wizard Hat, and Magic Staff—the Three-eyed Goblin only received a single Wizard Robe upon becoming an Official Wizard, though it was, at least, hooded.

Beneath the Wizard Robe was nothing but emptiness. Limbs, a torso, even a head—none of them existed.

In their place was only a mass of pitch-black Magic Power, like a dark fog.

Perhaps out of adoration for Isaac, the Three-eyed Goblin still maintained a roughly humanoid shape. This much was evident from its humanoid Wizard Robe.

The only thing on its entire "body" that connected it to its original form was the deep green Demon Eye floating within the black mist where its head should be. Compared to the complete transformation the rest of the Three-eyed Goblin had undergone, the Demon Eye had changed very little. Aside from looking more sinister, its abilities remained the same: still Summoning goblins and Soul-Devouring.

However, the Three-eyed Goblin’s biggest problem wasn’t the Demon Eye, but its status as a Dimension Apostle!

It is a well-known fact that becoming a Legendary Mage is a process of a mortal transforming into a Magical Creature. During this process, even one who is not a Mad Witch will gradually be rejected by the world—or, in other words, be pulled in and devoured by the Mysterious.

And once devoured by the Mysterious, all traces of your existence will be utterly erased. You will even slowly fade from the memories of others. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ

Therefore, any Legendary Mage, regardless of whether they are a Mad Witch, must establish Anchor Points in the Real World. These anchors reduce the pull of the Mysterious and strengthen their control over their own Magic Power.

And the Three-eyed Goblin, compared to a normal Legendary Mage, had both a greatest advantage and a greatest disadvantage: its status as a Dimension Apostle!

Its status as a Dimension Apostle granted it an Undying Body. Many of a Legendary Mage’s experiments and rituals were incredibly dangerous, even without involving transactions with Outer Gods. This ability gave it infinite chances to start over.
