Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 317: Chapter 233: Isaac and the 3-eyed Goblin’s Ritual! (Part 2)
This was nothing special.
At least, not for a Three-eyed Goblin.
Because it was a goblin, and a creature like a goblin had its limits. Even though it had become a Dimension Apostle, possessing infinite life and boundless potential, it was still a goblin. Bound by its body and bloodline, its path forward would be incredibly difficult. It might never even manage to realize the infinite possibilities that came with being a Dimension Apostle.
This was especially true after its Demon Eye awakened into a powerful, yet conventional, Soul-Devouring Demon Eye, making that potential even harder to realize.
But things were different now...
Seeing the vibrant look in the Three-eyed Goblin’s eyes, Isaac decided to give it another chance. ’Perhaps another miracle can happen to it?’
Isaac made no effort to conceal his actions, so the Three-eyed Goblin naturally noticed his protective gesture. This moved it deeply, while the frenzy in its eyes only intensified!
’His Eminence cares about me!’
For the Three-eyed Goblin, nothing could be more encouraging!
Even death would be a worthy price to pay.
Of course, the Three-eyed Goblin did not want to die. It still wanted to stay by His Eminence’s side and serve him. If it just died now, wouldn’t it be letting His Eminence down?
So, while the frenzy in its eyes deepened, its longing grew in tandem. Gripped by this fervent emotion, the Magic Power within its body began to flow rapidly. Wisps of a Concept silently seeped from its being and integrated with—or perhaps more accurately, latched onto—Isaac’s ritual.
Isaac was unaware of this. Or rather, he wasn’t paying attention. The amount of Concept the Three-eyed Goblin was channeling was too minuscule to even cause a flicker in the ritual’s success rate, so it naturally escaped his notice.
As time passed, the ritual quickly activated. An illusory grid descended from the heavens, blanketing the entire Pioneer Territory.
As this scene unfolded before the eyes of those outside the territory, the expressions on Smith and the others grew grave. They knew Isaac had a trump card for dealing with Outer Gods, one that let him gain the upper hand in every ritual. Still, knowing and seeing were two different things. This was an Outer God, after all; it would be a lie to say they weren’t worried.
Yet, as the assembled Demons witnessed this same scene, the Wilderness Will quietly receded from them.
After the recent battles, the Wilderness Will had come to understand the strength of this group of humans. The nearby Demons alone were not enough to defeat them, and the Demons farther away were not as easy to command.
After all, while the Wilderness Will reigned over all the Demons of the Wilderness, it was ultimately just a Cluster Consciousness formed from the many Existences of the Wilderness. It only acted according to a set of rules, possessing no true will of its own.
This was also why some humans had always been successful in their efforts to pioneer the Wilderness.
However, the most important reason for the Wilderness Will’s retreat was Isaac’s actions.
The Demons controlled by the Wilderness Will might be mindless, but the Will itself was not. It could see that Isaac was trying to sacrifice this land to an Evil God, which meant Isaac was not aligned with the world will of the Real World.
In that case, there was no need to fight.
In the worldview of the Wilderness Will, things were that simple. As long as you weren’t helping the Real World, you were fine.
After all, this land was already lost to it.
As long as it didn’t go to the Real World, it didn’t care who got it!
At first, watching the Demons scatter, Smith and the others remained on guard, worried it might be a trick. But after a while, when it was clear the Demons were truly gone, they all breathed a collective sigh of relief.
Although these Demons posed little threat to them, Isaac was at a critical juncture. If they had managed to disturb him, it would have been a major problem.
However, Smith and his companions were clearly worrying for nothing. The moment the ritual officially began, no one short of a Deity could stop it!
High above the territory, Isaac swept his arms out to his sides. A Wizard Hat appeared in one hand and a Magic Staff in the other. He donned the hat, then gently tapped the air with his Magic Staff. An invisible ripple spread out, and the gaze of a powerful Existence descended in its entirety!
The Demon Eye on Isaac’s brow also opened, curiously sizing up the Existence to see which poor devil it was.
Yelinos, the Lord of Imaginary Numbers. An Evil God who commanded the Authority over delusion and data, It was extremely proficient in wielding the power of information pollution. By simply flooding a being with vast quantities of corrupting information, It could induce grotesque physical mutations through a purely mental assault!
A truly terrifying Evil God!
Furthermore, It also held dominion over a portion of Imaginary Number Magic, making It an Evil God whose power Isaac greatly coveted.
This time, however, his target wasn’t the Authority of Imaginary Numbers. His Anchor Point to the Real World wasn’t stable enough, making it unwise to add an Outer God’s power to his own.
This time, he was simply after Yelinos’s Authority over data, hoping to use Its power to upgrade his own Dimension.
"An interesting Wizard. It has been many years since a Wizard offered up a territory... You arrogant little thief! You court death!"
Yelinos’s leisurely yet terrifying voice had barely finished when it was cut short and replaced with a furious roar. The reason was simple...
Isaac had already started looting.
With his increased strength, Isaac was now far more casual when ’trading’ with Outer Gods. In the past, before starting to loot, he would have to exchange a few pleasantries, then feign setting a goal for the trade to distract the Outer God’s attention.
Only then would he start looting.
But not anymore. Now that Isaac was a High-level Mage, his understanding of the world was far more profound, especially when it came to dealing with Outer Gods.
Now, even without relying on his Golden Finger’s margin for error, he knew exactly when to pull back.
So, the moment the ritual began, he started looting without a moment’s hesitation!
"You little thief! You ***! I’ll ***! ***! *******!"
Listening to Yelinos’s ugly, furious curses, Isaac casually cleaned out his ear and continued siphoning off the ’unwanted’ power, channeling it into his Dimension World to give it the ability to store data.
Of course, this was just the basic goal. Since he was already ’trading’ with an Evil God, he might as well go all in. He decided to grab the ability to output junk information as well, saving himself the trouble of finding another Outer God for it later.
No sense in bothering two masters for one job, after all. This way, he was even saving Yelinos some trouble.
Meanwhile, as Isaac was fervently upgrading his Dimension World, in a forgotten corner of the vast Ritual Array, the Three-eyed Goblin was also undergoing a quiet transformation!
A crude Magic Array could be seen faintly forming around the Three-eyed Goblin. Though simplistic, it was complete in every essential way. It silently drew down a thread of majestic power from the massive ritual that blanketed the entire Pioneer Territory!
Of course, ’silent’ wasn’t entirely accurate. The disturbance was actually quite significant, but Isaac had his full attention focused on his contest with Yelinos, so he failed to notice the Three-eyed Goblin’s activities.
And what about Yelinos?
It had actually noticed, since the thread of power being drawn away originated from It.
It simply didn’t care. The Three-eyed Goblin was Isaac’s Dimension Apostle. While their auras might seem vastly different to mortals, in the eyes of a Deity, they were one and the same.
Therefore, Yelinos assumed it was just a little trick by Isaac to distract It. It wouldn’t be so easily fooled!
And so, through a stroke of serendipity, the Three-eyed Goblin’s ritual—which should have been doomed to fail—proceeded without a hitch...
A miracle of life was about to manifest in it once more...
Under the influence of that wisp of Yelinos’s power, the Three-eyed Goblin’s body began to completely disintegrate! ℯℯ𝑙.
First its feet, then its hands, its torso, and finally, even its head crumbled away, leaving only a single Demon Eye floating in a cloud of dark green Magic Power!
However, though the Three-eyed Goblin’s body was gone, this did not mean it had failed. On the contrary, it had succeeded!
Not only had it successfully shed its ugly goblin body, but it had also, in one fell swoop, completed an advancement ritual on par with that of a Legendary Mage!
It was now a proper Official Wizard!
