Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters
Chapter 522 212: The Method of Origin Fusion (Part 2)
"That's right!"
The Clown seemed to have had his fill of laughing. The comical mask smoothed out, its large red nose twitching slightly. He shook his head and said in a lazy tone, "The rest of what you said was correct. The fusion sequence for Origin Power is from the inside out. First, you fuse it with the soul, then the Spirit, and finally, the body. Understand?"
'I see.'
Wei'en had a sudden realization. 'The fusion process is that simple?'
'So when he said it was the opposite of death, he was referring to the sequence of disintegration from the outside in…'
'How...'
Thinking about it, Wei'en had to admit his recent train of thought had been chaotic, utterly foolish.
"Only by doing this can you maximize your Origin Power." The Clown watched him with a faint, unreadable smile. "However, I forgot to mention one thing. This method can generally only be mastered by those who have reached the level of a Great Demon Commander."
"Huh??"
"But truly mastering it is something you start from the Sentinel level—oh, wait, by current terms, from the Director Level. In other words, it's a gradual, cyclical process."
Wei'en's brow relaxed. "So, I should first try to fuse my Origin Power with my soul? To further increase the output of my physical strength?"
"No," the Clown said, shaking his head. "It's to increase the amplification ratio of the Origin Power! All Extraordinaries initially only receive a ten percent amplification effect from their Origin Power."
"After completing the first step, once the Origin Power can fuse freely with the soul, the amplification ratio will reach thirty percent. The second step brings it to sixty percent, and after the final fusion with the body, the amplification ratio will reach ninety percent."
"Hmm? What about the last ten percent?"
"There isn't one." The Clown shot him an annoyed glance. "Complete fusion means you've naturally entered the Legendary Domain. At that point, you'll have complete mastery over yourself. Why would you still need such a crude fusion method?"
"Of course, ninety percent of Extraordinaries get stuck on that final ten percent..."
'Is this how an Extraordinary steps into the Legendary Domain?'
Wei'en subconsciously poured and drank a glass of red wine. A new question surfaced in his mind: 'What about Wizards?'
'What is the process for a Wizard to advance to the Legendary Domain?'
Based on his own advancement process, a Wizard of the Ghost Soul School needed a certain number of spells—or rather, knowledge of Magic Runes—a certain Spirit level, and talent for each stage.
According to what Mr. Leonard had just said, the fusion method was something Extraordinaries began to learn and master from the Director Level all the way up to the Hand of the Kingdom level.
The Director Level corresponds to an Advanced Mage, and a new requirement for an Advanced Mage to advance to Great Mage was a talent-based ability...
'So, for a Wizard to advance to the Legendary Domain, does it mean fully mastering their talent-based ability?'
At this thought, Wei'en came back to his senses. He could always confirm the details of a Wizard's advancement with the higher-ups of his school later. For now, he could start by learning the Origin Power fusion method.
"So, Mr. Leonard, how does one fuse their Origin Power with their soul?"
"Understand your Origin Power, master your Origin Power, and then attempt to fuse it with your soul."
The Clown swirled the red wine in his glass, his tone tinged with mockery. "As for *how* to understand and master your Origin Power, or *how* to make the attempt, no one can tell you."
"Everyone's Origin Power and soul are different. Another person's method won't necessarily work for you, unless... you are the vessel that person intends to possess!"
"A vessel?" Wei'en thought for a moment. "So, Tina has already learned this method?"
"Her? She doesn't need to learn it at all..." A shadow passed over the Clown's face. His tone turned cold and detached. "She has already mastered the Origin Power fusion method. Her next step is to advance to the Legendary Domain!"
Wei'en's breath caught. "You mean, Tina's current strength is..."
"That's right. Her strength is not far off from that Abyssal Great Demon just now. In some respects, she's even stronger and more bizarre... Hmm, then again, that's a pointless thing to say... The Calamity Origin's very nature is bizarre."
"Hand of the Kingdom level..."
Wei'en thought of the white-haired girl's indifferent face. 'This kind of power comes at a price.'
The thought flashed through his mind. He took a deep breath, looked at the Clown, and said earnestly, "Mr. Leonard, thank you for teaching me all this."
Seeing his expression, the blood-red mouth on the mask stretched into a grin. The Clown shifted his posture, looking slightly awkward. "Don't forget what you promised me. Help me find Lilith!"
"Yes, I will!"
Wei'en nodded solemnly. If he had been only half-hearted about it before, after everything that had happened, he had now decided to make the woman named "Lilith Oracio Leonard" a true objective.
'Not just for the Demon Clown, but for Tina as well...'
'And maybe for Clelia, too...'
The name "Lilith Oracio Leonard" also surfaced in the Clown's mind, and a murderous glint unwittingly appeared in his crimson eyes. "In the future, will you still need me to summon Abyssal Creatures for you?"
"I will!" Wei'en answered affirmatively, but quickly added, "But not too strong. Something like today's Great Demon... is unnecessary, really."
"Leave." The Clown leaned back in his chair noncommittally. He lowered his head, letting the shadows beyond the flickering candlelight envelop his mask, and spoke with cold indifference.
"Alright..."
...
...
「Meanwhile, on the Eastern Continent, in a village not far from the Borisa City State on the eastern border of the Shetland Kingdom.」
"Despair, despair, despair..." A mournful, wretched voice echoed over the small village of only a hundred or so households.
As if in response, a few scattered murmurs rose from the village, joining together to form the word "despair." Gradually, one or more voices began to rise from nearly every small wooden hut, joining the chanter.
