As the sounds of despair spread, the cabin doors opened one by one.

Figures in simple, shabby clothes staggered out, still muttering, "Despair..."

They slowly lifted their heads, their vacant eyes fixed on the red moon high in the night sky. Spreading their arms as if to embrace its radiance, the dull looks on their faces slowly melted into blissful smiles.

"Luno, Luno, Luno..."

Then, as if they were puppets, their whispers swelled into roars. Their language shifted from common Oldes to the more bizarre and complex Gonzalez.

"Dawn will pass, the Red Moon will endure."

"A final dirge is sung, all creation withers away."

"May we be Red Moon Servants for all eternity..."

"May the radiance of the Lord of the Red Moon shine upon the world forever, and may all the world's falsehoods become an eternal nightmare..."

"The Lord of the Red Moon will at last descend, bringing salvation... or destruction..."

As they finished their chant, crescent-shaped marks glowing with red light appeared on their foreheads. At the same time, their bodies began to fill out at a remarkable speed.

The men became handsome and statuesque, while the women blossomed into beauties with curvaceous figures.

The old grew young, and children shot up into adulthood...

Just then, two dark figures crawled out from the shadows, like ghouls born of the darkness itself, and leaned against a wall.

"Hector, how many villages is that now?"

"The thirty-second," Hector said, a flicker of excitement in his eyes. "See, Padilla? Working with me isn't so bad, is it? Compared to those heavily fortified city states, the people in these little villages are much easier to redeem!"

"Don't talk to me about city states! Have you already forgotten what happened at Caster City State?"

Padilla's handsome face twisted in disgust as he looked at the corrupted villagers nearby. "Damn that Bolsen, and damn the Abyssal Sect. If it weren't for them, I'd have already left the Eastern Continent to meet the lovely Kagari on the Northern Continent!"

"Bolsen? There's nothing left of that fool, not even dust. Why bring him up?" Hector sneered. "If we're going to blame someone, isn't that woman, Clelia, far worse?"

"Don't say her name. It's... unsettling."

"Alright, let's get these people moving. We only need three more villages, and we'll have enough."

"Let's go..."

But unbeknownst to them, a dilapidated church stood in the center of this ordinary village. And from it, a woman clad in platinum armor was slowly emerging.

Her expression was serene. Even bathed in the crimson light of the red moon, her face showed no change. Her eyes, bright as stars, reflected the figures emerging from their cabins, and her straight nose wrinkled slightly.

She held a broad Unsheathed Long Sword. Her long silver hair fell loosely down her back, rustling softly against her armor with every step.

"The Despair Sect... and the Red Moon Church, is it? Heretics!"

The moment she spoke, a dazzling golden radiance erupted from her body and shot toward the heavens, scattering the crimson moonlight and bathing the night sky in a light like the break of dawn.

"Holy shit, Hector, it's the Saintess of Dawn!!"

"You idiot, Padilla! Stop shouting my name and run for your life!"

"I'll be damned if I ever work with you again!!"

Watching the two flee in a panic, two beams of golden light shot from the woman's eyes.

"Heretics... must die..."
