Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 346: Path of Chaos
Chapter 346 -347: Path of Chaos
“You’ve invested your entire Bloodline into it?”
The Eighth Ancestor’s eyes went wide as he questioned Andre.
Their Bloodline was immensely precious in the Endless Star Realm, yet Andre had just thrown his into a path he had carved out for himself. The Eighth Ancestor felt a massive headache coming on.
He hadn’t expected Andre to be so reckless.
“You can’t really blame me for this!”
“Angelson, that ancestor, has been dead for over 3,000 years. Today, three millennia later, I awakened my Bloodline and unexpectedly received a portion of the bloodline inheritance.”
“Nowhere in that inheritance did it mention that Ancestor Angelson was a Wizard. It was all about the legacy of a Divine Spirit.”
“And I live in a world conquered by Wizards, so naturally, I had to hide the fact that I’m a Divine Descendant.”
“I did it so other Wizards wouldn’t discover I’m a Divine Descendant and take me away to be experimented on.”
“For my own safety, I had to reduce the ‘scent’ of a Divine Spirit as much as possible.”
Andre said helplessly, looking at the Eighth Ancestor.
After he transmigrated, he awakened his bloodline inheritance with the System’s help.
But the inheritance made no mention of Angelson being a Wizard.
Even though he’d had his suspicions, he was never able to confirm them.
Plus, back then, Selena, Quint, and the others were watching me like a hawk.
Of course I had to erase my Divine Spirit ‘scent.’
“Ancestor, this…!” Antaromen looked toward Andeta.
Andeta’s expression darkened as he looked at Andre. He couldn’t believe their plan for a restart had failed with Andre before it even began!
But on second thought, Andeta’s perspective shifted.
Strictly speaking, it was just as Andre had said—you really couldn’t blame him.
He was an ordinary person who suddenly awakened the Bloodline of a Divine Spirit in a world where he was surrounded by enemies.
In that kind of situation, survival was paramount. And what was the best way to survive?
To become the enemy, of course. To blend in among them.
So, before Andre had a chance to grow strong, the step he took was actually the right one.
There was really no reason to reprimand Andre.
Andre hadn’t done anything wrong; everything he did was predicated on his own survival. Besides, when Andre’s Bloodline awakened, Andeta himself had planned to wait until Andre became a Morning Star before bringing him back.
Before being brought back, Andre had no idea he was the descendant of a pure Wizard Clan.
“What path are you on that you would sacrifice your Bloodline for it? Even a partially awakened Bloodline is far better than any path you could research on your own.”
Andeta asked, looking at Andre.
A deficient Bloodline could be restored through other means, such as Magic Plants, Witchcraft, and certain Potions.
“Ancestor, what path do you walk?”
Andre asked earnestly, looking at Andeta, who was shrouded in Chaos Qi.
‘From my perspective,’ Andre thought, ‘Ancestor Andeta should be on the same Path of Chaos as me.’
‘Since we’re on the same path, how could he not recognize mine?’
“Andre, the Ancestor’s path is a family secret of the highest order!”
At that moment, Senzu spoke up, barking sternly at Andre.
A junior family member who only awakened the family Bloodline by chance had no right to question the Ancestor, especially about such a top secret.
“It’s fine. Why do you ask this?”
Andeta waved his hand to silence Senzu and looked at Andre inquisitively.
The moment Andre asked which path he walked, Andeta suddenly felt his heart skip a beat, then another.
In an ordinary person, this would be nothing—just a sign of excitement or overexertion. But for him, it was highly unusual.
He was, after all, a Level 8 Creature, a Truth Limit Great Wizard.
He had complete control over his own heartbeat. How could it have suddenly beat twice on its own?
“Aren’t you on the Path of Chaos?”
As he spoke, wisps of gray mist began to emanate from Andre’s body, enveloping him until he looked quite similar to Andeta.
The only difference was that the Chaos Magic Power on Andre’s surface was much fainter than the dense Chaos Qi surrounding Andeta.
“Chaos… How is that possible?”
The moment Chaos Magic Power appeared on Andre’s body, Antaromen’s eyes shot wide open. He stood up immediately, walked over to Andre, and reached out to grasp the Chaos Magic Power on his body.
But no matter how he tried to grab it, the Chaos Magic Power always slipped through his fingers.
“You, come here. Come closer and let me take a good look.”
As the Chaos Magic Power emerged from Andre, Andeta’s heart began to beat faster.
Andre glanced at Antaromen beside him. With no other choice, Antaromen placed a hand on Andre’s shoulder, and the two of them walked toward Andeta.
With every step they took, Andre felt as if he were passing through countless layers of space.
By the time they reached Andeta, Antaromen was already starting to pant.
Even though Andeta had used Chaos Qi to suppress ninety-nine percent of his aura, the remaining presence still weighed so heavily on Antaromen that he could barely move.
“Come, come here!”
Andeta reached out and took Andre’s hand. The Chaos Qi from his own body poured into Andre’s, causing the Chaos Magic Power on Andre’s surface to grow thicker and denser.
“That’s right, you are indeed on the Path of Chaos. To think that someone has actually managed to walk this path to its conclusion!”
As the Chaos Qi entered Andre’s body, Andeta came to understand the full state of his internal condition.
“What do you mean by that? Are you saying that from the day the Endless Star Realm came into being until now, no one has ever successfully walked the Path of Chaos?”
Andre blinked and asked in earnest.
Back at Senbai Academy, he had read through countless books. None of them mentioned the Path of Chaos, nor any who had walked it.
But those were just the books in Senbai Academy. The Senbai World was just a tiny Level 3 World.
That was why Andre was so bewildered when Andeta said he hadn’t expected anyone to actually walk this path to its conclusion.
‘In the entire Endless Star Realm, has not a single person ever successfully walked the Path of Chaos?’
‘How is that possible?’
‘After all, in the Endless Star Realm, countless worlds are born and die every moment, and brilliant civilizations emerge just as often.’
‘In a place like that, how could it be possible that no one has succeeded?’
