Chapter 251: Chapter 253: Me, the Child of the World? (1)
"So the institute is just going to stand by and watch?"
Andre looked at the Cosmic Sea World before him, his expression unreadable.
"The current Cosmic Sea World won’t collapse. At least not for another hundred years."
The Dean said calmly to Andre.
"A hundred years... For a Level 5 World, that’s like a single human breath."
Hearing this, the corner of Andre’s mouth twitched.
’So, should I still go in?’
Andre took a deep breath. With the current changes in the Cosmic Sea World, it was impossible to tell if this was good news or bad news.
"Do as you wish. But if you choose to go in, the institute offers no guarantee it can get you out."
The Dean’s attitude about whether to enter the Cosmic Sea World was very ambiguous.
’I see...’ Andre gazed at the Cosmic Sea World and fell into thought.
According to his grandmaster’s request, he had to enter the Cosmic Sea World.
But with the current changes, no one could say what would happen.
’Time to take the gamble!’
After a moment of deliberation, Andre decided to enter the Cosmic Sea World.
He had just been pondering whether he would have a chance to escape if he entered the Cosmic Sea World and it unexpectedly began to collapse.
After some thought, Andre was confident he could escape.
His confidence came from the Morning Sky.
The most powerful Witchcraft on the Morning Sky was the Space Element Witchcraft, Space Travel.
If the Cosmic Sea World began to collapse, he could use the Morning Sky to pass through its world barrier and return to the Star Realm.
But that all depended on him detecting the signs of collapse in time.
If he failed to notice, then when the Cosmic Sea World collapsed, the world fragments would very likely bury him along with it.
"So, you’ve decided." The Dean looked at Andre, who was taken aback for a moment.
"I’ve seen this kind of attitude in many people."
The Dean looked at Andre. After a moment’s hesitation, Andre nodded.
"If you’ve decided, then go do it. Hesitation will only lead to losses."
The Dean looked at Andre, an encouraging expression appearing on his face.
Andre looked at the Dean’s face and scratched his head. He couldn’t figure out what the Dean was really thinking.
’Just a moment ago, he said the institute couldn’t help if we ran into trouble in the Cosmic Sea World, but now he’s encouraging me to go in.’
’Which of his words were true, and which were false?’
Andre was completely confused by the Dean’s words.
After thinking it over, he decided to go in anyway. With the Morning Sky, he had an escape route.
Then, Andre left the Central Control Room and went to the main hangar bay.
The Main Hangar Bay was divided into individual docking bays, each one holding a Star Realm Battleship.
Andre waited there for a while. After receiving notice that his ship had passed inspection, he immediately returned to the Morning Sky.
The reason the Morning Sky had to be inspected was to prevent Star Realm creatures from clinging to its surface and getting inside the War Mother Ship.
In the history of the Wizard World, there had been several incidents where Star Realm creatures had hitched a ride on Star Realm Battleships to reach other worlds and cause chaos.
After these incidents, every Interstellar Battleship had to undergo an inspection after every long-distance interstellar voyage.
On the Morning Sky, Andre poured out a large amount of Magic Stones to refuel the ship.
As a large quantity of Magic Stones entered the Magic Energy Furnace, the Morning Sky’s energy reserves rose above the warning level.
Then, the deck of the War Mother Ship slowly opened, and Andre piloted the Morning Sky out from the War Mother Ship.
After moving a certain distance away, Andre had Wei Xing activate Space Travel to enter the Cosmic Sea World.
Following a flash of silver-white light, a vast landscape appeared before Andre.
The land was cracked everywhere, with lava flowing down cliff faces.
Poisonous sulfur vapor devoured all surrounding life, and grayish-green acid rain fell from the sky, corroding away any newly sprouted plants.
’No wonder worlds need a recovery period after they ascend.’
’Looking at this scenery... if I didn’t know any better, I’d think I’d arrived in the Bottomless Abyss.’
Andre looked at the scene before him, sighed, and then had Wei Xing fly toward the coordinates.
That was the location of the first Expedition Squad.
With another flash of silver-white light, Andre arrived at the Expedition Base established by the first squad.
To call it an Expedition Base was a stretch; it was more like a shelter.
All the buildings here were constructed from Obsidian that had risen from the planet’s core.
They used Obsidian because this stone was not corroded by lava, and acid rain could not harm it either.
Therefore, at this stage, Obsidian was the most suitable stone for construction.
’The Expedition Squad assigned to this world really has it rough.’
Andre looked at the Expedition Base and grimaced, then had the Morning Sky descend and park inside a shelter built from Obsidian.
"Great, someone else is here."
When the Morning Sky arrived at the Expedition Base, someone ran out from inside, looking at the newly arrived ship with a complicated expression.
"This time, why did only one person come?"
The captain of the first Expedition Squad, a Level 2 Wizard named Angela, looked at Andre as he emerged from the Morning Sky, feeling rather puzzled.
’Logically, the institute wouldn’t send just one person as reinforcement.’
’But Andre came by himself. What’s that about?’
Meanwhile, after disembarking from the Morning Sky, Andre frowned as he looked up at the grayish-green acid rain clouds overhead.
’How have they survived in this environment for the past few years?’
Andre scratched his head and walked over to Angela.
"And you are?" Angela asked, looking at Andre with confusion.
"I’m Andre, from the Multi-Body World. I’m here to help you decipher this world’s writing!"
Andre introduced himself to Angela.
"Decipher writing? Ah, you’re the linguistics expert we requested!"
After hearing Andre’s introduction, Angela understood why only one person had come to the Cosmic Sea World this time.
’Deciphering a script is purely a matter of individual Talent; piling on numbers can hardly compare to a genius’s flash of insight.’
"Has the inside of the Cosmic Sea World been like this ever since you arrived?"
Andre nodded and gestured at their surroundings as he asked Angela.
