Chapter 250: Chapter 252: Overly Active World Consciousness

A year later, Andre looked at the Star Realm before him and shook his head.

A year had passed. He had warped twenty-four times, and he was only halfway there.

’This distance... it’s basically the equivalent of crossing from one end of the World Group to the other.’

Andre set down his book and gazed at the projection of the Star Realm.

The Star Realm here was much brighter than where he had started, with far more worlds scattered about.

’The journey is so long. Until I become a Morning Star, I’ll have to rely on Star Realm Battleships. But even after becoming a Morning Star, I’ll still need one to avoid excessively depleting my own Power. The Endless Star Realm is just too vast.’

Andre looked at the projection in the Central Control Room. At that moment, just outside the worlds he was observing, a few barely perceptible black dots were visible.

And these black dots were Star Realm Battleships.

’As more Expeditionary Corps arrive, the number of Star Realm Battleships will keep increasing. I just wonder how much the Child of the World in the Cosmic Sea World has grown. If it truly is a Child of the World, this will be a problem.’

Andre’s brow furrowed. He had reached the Level of a Level 2 Wizard at an incredible speed, taking him nearly thirty years in total.

Yet this Child of the World had reached the same Realm as him in less than three years. The speed was astonishing.

It would be impossible to achieve that without the support of the World Will.

’Once there’s one, a second will follow. Unless we can control the Cosmic Sea World’s World Will with a sealing Witch Array before more Children of the World appear, their numbers will just keep growing.’

’Kill one, and two more will appear. Kill those two, and four more will take their place. It’s a very common phenomenon.’

’A Level 5 World can create numerous Official Wizards with the Power it absorbs from the Star Realm in a single second. An individual’s strength is nothing compared to an entire world’s.’

Andre heaved a long sigh.

Learning about this Child of the World from the Cosmic Sea World made him realize just how distant the path he had envisioned for himself truly was.

But it wasn’t hopeless. The turning point would come when he broke through to the Morning Star Realm.

If he could seize that opportunity, nothing else would be an issue.

"Wei Xing, let’s keep moving!"

Andre sighed. A flash of Silver White light cut through the pitch-black Star Realm, and the Morning Sky vanished.

「One year later.」

The Morning Sky arrived at the Cosmic Sea World. By then, the ship’s energy reserves had dropped to critical levels.

’To think the Main Institute dispatched several War Mother Ships for a single Level 5 World!’

Andre stared at the War Mother Ships floating outside the Cosmic Sea World. He blinked, making sure his eyes weren’t deceiving him.

Including the one belonging to his grand-master, the academy had now deployed two War Mother Ships.

Two War Mother Ships were more than enough to shatter the Cosmic Sea World.

The War Mother Ship was a weapon created by Wizards specifically to contend with a World Will.

’The academy sent two War Mother Ships this time. It seems the Cosmic Sea World is the highest-Level world in this World Group. Dispatching two of them means the academy intends to secure it completely.’

Andre waved his hand, signaling Wei Xing to approach.

Wei Xing nodded and piloted the ship closer. After a short distance, a tractor beam locked onto the Morning Sky and pulled it in.

Before long, the Morning Sky was inside the War Mother Ship, undergoing inspection.

Meanwhile, Andre was escorted to the Central Control Room.

"Dean?" Andre’s eyes widened as he looked at the person in the Central Control Room.

He was different from Red-haired Klein. The Dean before him this time was the man himself, not a mere avatar.

"You’re here." The Dean showed no surprise at Andre’s arrival.

"Yes, Dean. What is the current situation?"

Andre nodded and asked cautiously, looking at the Dean.

He knew exactly why the Dean would come here in person.

The Cosmic Sea World was a Level 5 World, and a world like that was critically important to the Main Institute.

Although the Cosmic Sea World had suffered internal damage from outside enemies during its ascension, this was a normal occurrence.

Once its stabilization period was over, the Cosmic Sea World would be a true Level 5 World, the same Level as the White Sea World, home to the Main Institute.

But unlike the White Sea World, which the academy had forcibly seized from the hands of Divine Spirits, its internal resources had already been mostly plundered by them.

The Cosmic Sea World, however, was different. It was a new world. If the Main Institute could devour the Cosmic Sea World, the academy’s power would climb to a whole new level.

Once the Cosmic Sea World’s stabilization period was over, its resources might even allow the academy to produce one or two more Red Sun Great Wizards.

That was why the Cosmic Sea World could not be lost. Otherwise, the Dean, who usually didn’t involve himself in such affairs, wouldn’t have come in person.

"The World Will of the Cosmic Sea World is far more active than we previously anticipated," the Dean said calmly, looking at Andre.

"What?" Andre’s composure shattered upon hearing this.

During a recovery period, it’s normal for a World Will to be active, as the world needs to absorb Power from the Star Realm to become more substantial.

However, there was a limit to this activity.

A World Will isn’t a person, so even in an active period, it shouldn’t overreact. At most, its rejection of outsiders would be stronger.

For Wizards like Andre and Karina, this would manifest as certain physical restrictions.

But if a World Will became overly active, it meant the Cosmic Sea World was likely on the verge of collapse.

Only a world on the brink of collapse would cause its World Will to become hyperactive, initiating a last-ditch, world-saving effort in its death throes.

"But isn’t the Cosmic Sea World in its stabilization period? How could this be happening?"

Andre’s brow furrowed as he gazed at the Cosmic Sea World before him, which shone like a vast, brilliant sun.

If the Senbai World and Multi-Body World he’d been to before were like moons, then the Cosmic Sea World was the sun.

"That’s unclear. Unless someone enters the World Origin Space and communicates directly with the World Will, it will be very difficult to learn the true situation of the Cosmic Sea World."

The Dean shook his head. Hearing this, the color drained from Andre’s face.

To enter the World Origin Space and converse with a World Will, one must be a full Realm higher than the world itself.

Right now, only two people in the academy were capable of doing so: the Dean himself, and Andre’s own grand-master, Klein, who had just become a Red Sun Great Wizard.

But Andre knew that neither the Dean nor his grand-master would do such a thing. It was far too dangerous.

Conversing with a World Will inside its own World Origin Space was tantamount to handing one’s life over to it. No one but a fool would do such a thing.
