Chapter 241: Chapter 243: Threat

BZZZT, BOOM! After the golden lightning pierced the mountain range, the mountains exploded violently, turning to dust.

The golden lightning didn’t stop after piercing the mountain range. It tore through several more hills before finally vanishing.

Then, those hills also exploded, burying everything in the vicinity.

"This power is already on par with a Level 3 Witchcraft!"

Andre scratched his head, looking at the scene he had just created.

’If I activate the Divine Punishment talent, just how powerful will it be?’

Andre wondered, hesitant to activate it.

Unlike other Divine Arts, activating Divine Punishment would cause the Divine Power within his body to leak out.

"Let’s try it!" Andre took a deep breath. Chaos Magic Power surfaced, enveloping him in a gray mist.

Then, a tangible bolt of lightning shot out from Andre’s body, tearing everything in his line of sight to shreds before wiping it from existence entirely.

THUD! Andre collapsed to his knees, gasping for air. He had just completely exhausted his body’s Chaos Magic Power and Divine Power.

Now, Andre finally understood what true emptiness felt like.

He didn’t have an ounce of strength left in his body.

The moment the golden lightning appeared, the Surveillance Witchcraft Artifacts aboard the War Mother Ship, which were responsible for monitoring the entire world, instantly sounded an alarm.

The War Mother Ship immediately traversed space, appearing directly above Andre.

"What happened here?" The captain’s eyes widened as he stared at the utter void before him.

There was nothing left. It was as if a massive chunk of the very earth had been scooped away with a hoe.

"Sir!" Red-haired Klein frowned as he looked at the projection in the Central Control Room.

The alarm that had just sounded was a Level 3.

Although it was the lowest-level alarm, according to the War Mother Ship’s design, a Level 3 alert meant that a being equivalent to a Level 3 Wizard—and a powerful one at that—had appeared in the area under its watch.

The reason for this was that the War Mother Ship’s alarms were configured based on the potential for the ship to sustain damage.

Only powerhouses at the Level 3 Wizard rank or higher could possibly damage the War Mother Ship.

Witchcraft cast by a Level 3 Wizard could destroy the War Mother Ship’s deck.

And if the deck were damaged, the War Mother Ship’s capacity to transport troops would be weakened.

Fortunately, repairing the deck was not difficult, so a threat capable of destroying it would typically trigger a Level 3 alarm.

"In this world, aside from the Magical Beasts, there shouldn’t be any beings equivalent to a Level 3 Wizard."

The captain said, looking at the scene on the ground and continuously adjusting the projection in the Central Control Room.

Finally, the captain found Andre, who was kneeling on the ground.

"Andre?" the captain said, watching Andre fall backward and lie on the ground.

"Andre?" Red-haired Klein glanced at the projection.

He saw Andre lying on the ground, gasping for breath.

Clearly, the one who had caused all this and even triggered the Level 3 alarm was Andre himself.

’He’s a full Realm below, yet he still triggered the alarm. What did he do?’

The captain stared at Andre with a deep frown, but with Red-haired Klein right beside him, he dared not reveal the immense curiosity he felt about what had happened.

"Alright, let’s head back. He must be preparing to enter the Cosmic Sea World."

A mysterious glint flashed in Red-haired Klein’s eyes. He waved his hand, ordering the War Mother Ship to return to base.

’The Cosmic Sea World... that explains it!’

The captain nodded and promptly had the War Mother Ship turn back.

With a ripple of spatial energy, the War Mother Ship vanished from before Andre’s eyes.

’I can’t believe the golden lightning born from combining Divine Punishment, Thunder, and Primordial Lightning has this much power.’

’It even brought the War Mother Ship here.’

Andre lay on the ground, panting heavily.

With every breath, a large amount of Magic Power entered his body.

But the Magic Power gained through breathing was a pittance compared to what that one attack had consumed.

Andre took out a large number of Magic Stones from his Storage Ring, threw them down beside him, and continued to take deep breaths.

With each breath he took, hundreds of Magic Stones turned to dust.

At the same time, the Magic Power within them flowed into Andre’s body.

Soon, Andre had drained these Magic Stones completely.

Andre took out another large pile of Magic Stones from his Storage Ring and tossed them beside him.

He absorbed the Magic Power from the stones as he tossed them out.

Soon, Andre had absorbed all the power from these Magic Stones as well.

’Three thousand Medium Magic Stones... Anyone else would have fully recovered by now.’

Andre sat up, sensing the Chaos Magic Power within him.

At this point, he had only recovered a fifth of his Chaos Magic Power.

For Andre, this was still not nearly enough.

But Andre had a better way to recover.

Andre popped an Earth Element Crystal into his mouth and immediately activated his Chaos Meditation Technique, converting the Earth Element into Chaos Magic Power.

After switching to the Earth Element Crystal, Andre’s Magic Power recovery speed skyrocketed.

By the time the Earth Element Crystal was depleted, his Chaos Magic Power had recovered to fifty percent.

’I’ll let the rest recover slowly on its own.’

Andre stretched, then cast Thunder Flash Technique. Transforming into a bolt of lightning, he began to fly toward the Giant Elephant Plain.

Previously, when Red-haired Klein had brought him back, he hadn’t brought the Morning Sky or the Eight-toothed Giant Elephant along.

Now, he had to rely on himself to retrieve the Morning Sky and the Eight-toothed Giant Elephant.

’Half a month... I wonder if that’s enough time.’

Andre thought of the deadline Red-haired Klein had given him and couldn’t help but shake his head.

This time, unlike his previous leisurely trip to the Giant Elephant Plain with Karina on a Star Realm Battleship, things were different.

He only had half a month, so he had to be fast.

But even so, it would still take several days.

The distance between his current continent and the Giant Elephant Plain was vast.

Even if he flew using Thunder Flash Technique, the fastest flight spell among Level 1 Witchcraft, it would still take him seven or eight days to reach the Giant Elephant Plain.

This was because between the two continents lay a vast sea, several times larger than both landmasses combined.

He would only be able to reach the Giant Elephant Plain after crossing this sea.

If the journey were only between the Giant Elephant Plain and his current location, High Merit’s Origin, it would be a few days shorter.

Fortunately, as long as he got near the Giant Elephant Plain, the Morning Sky would be able to sense his aura and come to meet him.

And so, Andre flew toward the Giant Elephant Plain.

When his Magic Power was about to run out, Andre would summon Seven Rings and have it carry him on its back as it flew.

When Seven Rings grew tired, he would recall it to the Secret Realm and fly on his own.

In this manner, man and beast took turns flying for ten days until Andre finally arrived at the Giant Elephant Plain.

Upon arriving at the Giant Elephant Plain, Andre used his Token to contact Wei Xing and ask her to come pick him up.
