Chapter 1377: Special room

Since they had come to a decision, the only thing that was left to do was to head to the dungeon.

However, the way that Lin Fan led them wasn’t the normal way.

Even if they had never really gone into the dungeon before, it was easy to tell what the main entrance of the dungeon was with how people flowed in this Dungeon City. Just a single sweep with their spiritual sense was more than enough to tell them this.

So they couldn’t help looking at Lin Fan with strange looks when he led them to a completely unrelated place.

This was the City Lord Manor that was quite a distance away from the main entrance.

Even if Lin Fan was the City Lord, they didn’t think that there was anything here that was for them.

That was until he opened up a secret passage.

This wasn’t something that they knew about even though technically they should have known about this. If they had swept the entire Dungeon City like they said they had done, then they would have discovered this secret entrance into the dungeon.

It just meant that there was more focus on certain parts of Dungeon City compared to other parts.

“The dungeon itself is too big for us to completely search.” That was the excuse that the Heavenly Demon gave in the end.

Lin Fan knew that this was the case since he was the one that had created that dungeon. He had made sure that it would be much too big even if there was someone with powerful spiritual sense.

Though he knew that they hadn’t used their full power in searching this dungeon since there was nothing that they would gain from it.

They had most likely done a preliminary sweep just to see if he was there.

When they knew that he wasn’t, there really was no need for them to continue searching.

As for this random secret entrance, they naturally wouldn’t know about this.

“We’ve been here for a while, so it’s only natural that we would have discovered these secret paths.” Lin Fan explained in the end, but the way that they looked at him showed that they had other thoughts.

For the City Lord Manor to be conveniently connected to the dungeon that was under this city, there was no doubt that this was something that had been planned from the beginning.

It seemed that Lin Fan had benefitted quite a bit from discovering this dungeon.

Not only that, it seemed like the dungeon was also the source of many things that he had obtained that no one else could explain. It seemed that slowly the dots were connecting and they were seeing the full picture.

But they still wanted to see what it was that Lin Fan had to show them.

Once they were in the dungeon, there was no need to move slowly anymore.

There were eyes and ears that were outside of the dungeon, but Lin Fan knew that this place was under his control. Not only that, this was a secret passage to begin with that only a few people knew.

So there shouldn’t be anyone that would be anywhere near this place.

Taking this secret passage, Lin Fan led this group to a place that was quite deep in the dungeon. At least with the spiritual sense sweep that they used, they could tell that they were deep under the ground.

Eventually Lin Fan came to a stop in front of a wall.

This seemed to be some kind of dead end, but no one said anything since they knew that Lin Fan wouldn’t bring them to this place for no reason. If he brought them here, it meant that there was something special about this wall.

Without saying anything, Lin Fan tapped a few spots on the wall before it started to open up.

As they had expected, there was indeed something that was hidden here.

It was just that the moment that it opened up, they couldn’t help being surprised by what flowed out.

Even for the Heavenly Demon, the Fire Fist King, and the Poison King who had seen all kinds of things, they couldn’t help being surprised by this.

After all, it really was just too surprising for a random room in this dungeon to have this much pure elemental energy.

Not only that, it seemed like it was pure elemental energy of different elements.

For this much to be gathered here, it was clear that there was some kind of special feature about this place.

They turned to look at Lin Fan first since this was technically his territory and this was his secret. Since he was willing to share this secret with them, then they had to at least respect that.

Lin Fan just gestured for them to go ahead. He had brought them here, so there really wasn’t anything that he had to hide from them.

Once he made this gesture, the three elders didn’t waste any time searching around the room. Only when they did, they found that there was something strange about this room.

The moment that they felt this strange thing, they narrowed their eyes and scanned the entire room around them.

It was just that no matter how they tried, they weren’t able to break through it at all.

It seemed that there was something about this room that stopped their spiritual sense from passing.

Even though they were Transcendence Realm Cultivators, their spiritual sense just couldn’t go through it at all.

After testing this for a while, they knew that there was nothing that was working.

No matter how they tried forcing it, it was as if there was something inside of these walls that just completely stopped their spiritual sense from passing through.

Since they weren’t able to break through, they decided to focus on what was inside of the room. After all, there was still all of that pure elemental energy that was in this place.

When they searched this room with their spiritual sense, they were once again caught off guard.

That was because they just couldn’t understand how this room worked.

The three elders moved to different locations in the room and seemed to be observing the walls, but there was nothing for them to see.

However, the locations that they were in was actually where the pure elemental energy was flowing into this room. It was as if there was this unseen opening that was in the wall that was pumping the pure elemental energy into the room.

No matter how they tried using their spiritual senses, there was nothing for them to find.

Seeing this just made them feel even more confused.

It didn’t stop them from looking over the room once more as they tried to find anything that was off about this place. It was just that no matter how they tried to look through this place, there really wasn’t a single thing for them to find.

This just simply didn’t make any sense to them since it didn’t seem to follow the laws of nature that they were aware of.

So in the end, the three elders turned to look at Lin Fan as if they were questioning him on this.

Lin Fan just gave a shrug before saying, “I don’t understand it either, but this place has been good to me and I have no reason to question it.”

Strange and complicated looks appeared on their faces before they were forced to slowly nod in agreement.

After all, they knew that Lin Fan was right about this.

Even if they didn’t understand how this place was filled with pure elemental energy or where it was coming from, they had to admit that this place really was beneficial to him. Especially with the form of cultivation that he used which relied on pure elemental energy.

So they understood why he would spend a lot of time in this place.

At the same time, what they had discovered completely answered their questions about being unable to find him earlier. Since their spiritual senses couldn’t penetrate to this place, it was normal that they wouldn’t be able to find him.

With all of these questions answered, there really wasn’t anything else that they could say about this.

Especially since this place had already been given to Lin Fan by the Heavenly Demon Sect as his territory.

But that still left a problem for them…

Who was the one that saved the Heavenly Demon Sect groups on the magic continent and what did the Laver Empire want?

Since they couldn’t solve that problem with the solution that they had thought of, it meant that they had to use a different solution.

While they were lost in thought, there was something that happened to the wall in front of them.

“How is this possible?” All three elders looked with shocked expressions when they saw the thing coming out of the wall.

“It seems like it came out premature. I’ll just absorb it as it is then.” Lin Fan said as he came forward to take it.

The three elders revealed even stranger expressions when they saw how used to this Lin Fan was. But after thinking about it, they couldn’t help feeling that there was something that was very strange with this place.

If it was able to give birth to pure elemental items like this, then did that mean that this place was alive?

If it was alive, then what was it that this dungeon wanted?

A chill ran down the spine of the three elders as they had this thought.
