Chapter 1378: Being included

“It hasn’t done anything yet and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to do anything. For now, I think that I can just leave it be since it doesn’t seem to be any harm.”

When Lin Fan said this, the three elders came back to their senses.

The three of them slowly looked at Lin Fan before the expressions on their faces changed.

Eventually, there were smiles that appeared on their faces before the Heavenly Demon said, “This is your territory, you can do what you want here. If this is what you want, then there’s nothing that we can say about it.”

The Fire Fist King and the Poison King nodded in agreement to this.

Even if they didn’t understand what was happening here, they had been thinking too much.

After all, they were still from the Heavenly Demon Sect in the end.

Even if there was something dangerous about this place, it wasn’t as if they wouldn’t be able to deal with it.

The only reason that Ye Qing Huan did this was to show that she didn’t trust him even though he was her master.

Once she had a good look at the report, it seemed that Ye Qing Huan was satisfied with what she saw and didn’t say anything else. Though the way that she acted made another wry smile appear on the Heavenly Demon’s face.

When one has a lover, they really don’t care about their master or their parents.

It didn’t take Lin Fan long to finish reading the report since this was information that he already knew. Though he certainly was surprised that they would give him all this information without holding anything back.

Only when he saw the way that the three elders looked at him, it made it clear why they did this.

They were trying to get some kind of reaction from him.

They were seeing if he would react to what was written here, to see if they could make him reveal that he already knew this.

Of course, Lin Fan wouldn’t do that since he had gotten quite good at hiding his secrets from all the experience that he had.

It wasn’t easy to make him break his mask after all.

When he was done reading, Lin Fan just calmly said, “It really is hard to believe that someone else has the same power as me.”

The three elders didn’t say anything at first, but eventually they all nodded while giving sighs.

It seemed that this matter also had a large effect on them seeing as they didn’t say anything.

Before meeting Lin Fan, they had never seen this kind of power before.

Now, they found that there were multiple people that had this same power…

Even if they felt this way, they were still leaders of the current generation. So in the end, it wasn’t as if they would bend that easily and would still guide the path for now.

Once they came back to their senses, the Heavenly Demon asked, “What do you think about the offer?”

This was the one thing that had caught Lin Fan off guard.

After all, he didn’t think that he would be able to weigh in on this matter. He thought that this was something that the Heavenly Demon Sect’s higher ups would discuss among themselves before coming to a decision.

But even if he was allowed to weigh in, it wasn’t as if Lin Fan was planning to weigh in.

From his position, it really wasn’t beneficial for him to get too involved in this matter.

Which was why he said, “I don’t know.”

The Heavenly Demon, the Fire Fist King, and the Poison King all narrowed their eyes to look at Lin Fan when they heard this. They didn’t reveal any emotions, but it was clear that this wasn’t the answer that they had been expecting.

From what they knew of Lin Fan, he was someone that was quite decisive when he made his decisions.

Only this time, he didn’t weigh in at all.

Lin Fan was caught off guard hearing this.

He didn’t think that the Heavenly Demon would be this insistent on this matter.

Hearing him say this, the Fire Fist King and the Poison King actually gave approving nods. They were showing that they were proud of their disciple for coming to this decision.

After all, this showed that he was someone that could understand the situation that he was in and what kind of things he could do. He wasn’t someone that got involved with something that was beyond his grasp.

Only the Heavenly Demon continued narrowing his eyes to look at Lin Fan.

But eventually he also stopped as he could see the way that Ye Qing Huan looked at him.

Though to be honest, there was a part of the Heavenly Demon that was relieved to see Lin Fan act this way.

Lin Fan was the young man that the Heavenly Demon acknowledged and even wanted to pass his position to. If Lin Fan had gotten involved in this decision, he could understand and would have supported him.

However, the fact that Lin Fan kept his cool and didn’t get involved showed that he was much more mature than he thought.

This was a good thing to see.

“Alright, since you’re not willing to get involved, then we won’t get you involved.” The Heavenly Demon said in a voice that was hard to hide the pride that he felt.

Lin Fan didn’t know why they were asking him all of this, but he could tell that he had passed whatever test they had been giving him. That was the most important thing since he was currently playing both sides.

Revealing too much really wasn’t beneficial for him.

After a moment of silence, the Heavenly Demon suddenly said, “This Mist Lord character really seems like someone that wants to attract attention doesn’t he?”

Lin Fan’s eyes couldn’t help twitching when he heard this.

He didn’t know why the Heavenly Demon suddenly asked something like this, but there was a part of him that couldn’t help feeling the blow of this question.

The Heavenly Demon didn’t hold back at all as he said, “Look at the way that he stands in front of the others and gives his orders, it’s clear that he wants to draw all the attention to himself. For someone like this to be sent by the Laver Empire, it isn’t hard to imagine what kind of people they are. However, they do have the power to give this proposal.”

The Fire Fist King and the Poison King nodded in agreement to this before weighing in as well.

Lin Fan knew what they were doing when he heard what they said, but it wasn’t as if the embarrassment from this was weakened at all.

They were bashing the Mist Lord like this because they wanted to give Lin Fan information about the Laver Empire. This was information that wasn’t included in the report, information that came from the Heavenly Demon Sect’s intelligence network.

It was just that this was all things that Lin Fan already knew from the time that he spent in the Laver Empire.

So the only thing that he felt was the embarrassment of what they said about the Mist Lord.

When they were done, it seemed like the three elders were satisfied that they had passed on worthy knowledge to Lin Fan.

Only Lin Fan looked like he didn’t have any emotions on his face.
