Chapter 1310: Clash with another faction

The lull only lasted a few days.

After being called back, Han Ba wasn’t allowed to leave and had been sent into closed door cultivation.

But he appeared again after a few days.

Lin Fan could tell that he hadn’t been sent into closed door cultivation to punish him, but rather he had been sent to help him.

It was clear that the Iron Fist King had seen right through Han Ba and had seen all the changes that came over him from Lin Fan’s advice. That was why he knew that Han Ba was a bit unstable with these new enlightenments.

So that was why he forced Han Ba to go into closed door cultivation to stabilize the new attainments that he had.

“Senior Brother Yu, what are you doing here?” Han Ba asked when he heard this voice.

Lin Fan didn’t recognize this person since he wasn’t as familiar with the disciples of the Heavenly Demon Sect, but it wasn’t hard for him to find this person’s identity. After all, Ye Qing Huan had given him a list of all the core disciples in the Heavenly Demon Sect.

It wouldn’t be hard for him to find this person with the context clues that he had been given.

Though when he did find this person, he couldn’t help being a bit surprised.

This was because he didn’t expect this person to be this old.

Senior Brother Yu suddenly revealed a smile when he heard Han Ba’s question before saying, “Junior Brother Han, how about we leave matters here today? Please give me some…”

Before he could finish his sentence, he had to draw his sword to block Han Ba’s fist.

He was a core disciple in the end, so it wasn’t as if he was weak. His sword clashed with Han Ba’s fist as if it was metal clashing, but it was able to stop it.

Though looking closely, one could see that Senior Brother Yu had been forced half a step back.

Senior Brother Yu no longer dared to look down on Han Ba for being his junior. Instead, he treated Han Ba as if he was someone that was worth his full attention.

“Don’t you think that it’s a bit rude to attack your senior brother all of a sudden like this?” He said it as if he was reprimanding Han Ba like he was above him, but the way that he struck wasn’t as if he was holding back like a senior would.

Han Ba didn’t seem to care about this difference in tone between Senior Brother Yu’s strike and his words, he just continued fighting against him as if he was enjoying himself.

Han Ba’s realization was that he could fight against others to increase the power of his physique by gaining experience.

What he had done before was using quantity to help him gain experience, but that only gave him a small amount of experience since there was only so much that each of his opponents could do.

But it was different when fighting against this Senior Brother Yu.

After all, Senior Brother Yu was someone that was also a core disciple and was anything but weak. That meant that as long as he didn’t let his guard down, Han Ba wouldn’t be able to overpower him that easily.

So in the end, it was actually quite the fair fight between the two of them.

Or it would have been if not for the fact that Han Ba was slowly adapting to the movements of Senior Brother Yu.

As this happened, the expression on Senior Brother Yu’s face slowly changed.

He knew what was happening and that he was slowly being suppressed by Han Ba.

Being suppressed by his junior like this would no doubt ruin his reputation. At the same time, it would mean that he would lose his status as a core disciple even faster since no one would want to back someone like him.

So Senior Brother Yu started to panic.

“Junior Brother Lin, I think that this has gone far enough. Will you help me speak to Junior Brother Han and help me calm him down?”

That was the last straw that Senior Brother Yu was grasping at since he had no other straws.

As such, he knew what he could offer Lin Fan to bring him to his side.

It was just that he didn’t expect Lin Fan to not care about this at all.

All Lin Fan did was stand there on the side with a smile on his face as if he wasn’t bothered by any of this.

The more that Lin Fan acted this way, the more of a panic Senior Brother Yu went into.

He just couldn’t understand what part of what he was offering wasn’t appealing to Lin Fan. After all, this was something that he would jump at if this was offered to him and he didn’t believe that anyone would just ignore this offer.

He recognized that Senior Brother Yu didn’t actually have any value at all since he was just a washed up disciple. The only people that he would be able to introduce to him were the outer sect and inner sect disciples.

It was impossible for Senior Brother Yu to introduce him to anyone that was worth getting to know.

After all, the inner sect and outer sect disciples knew what was good for them and knew who they would interact with. They were the ones that were in far more precarious positions in the Heavenly Demon Sect.

So they knew that once Senior Brother Yu lost his position…there was no benefit to supporting him any more even if he became an elder.

The way that he lost his position was too embarrassing and there was nothing that they would gain from helping him still.

That was why Senior Brother Yu really wasn’t worth anything to Lin Fan.

The more that Lin Fan acted this way, the more that Senior Brother Yu panicked until…
