Chapter 1309: They’re friends

“Master, I didn’t sneak out. I left openly when I found that there was a problem with my cultivation.”

Though Han Ba said this in a direct and honest tone, it didn’t seem like his master appreciated this.

After the rampage that he had gone on, it was impossible that the Iron Fist King wouldn’t have found out about all of this.

That was why Lin Fan and Han Ba had been summoned.

Han Ba naturally went along since it was his master that was calling him.

After he said this, the two of them just glared at each other.

But Han Ba suddenly said, “Uncle master, what are you doing here?”

Lin Fan looked at Han Ba with a surprised look, but he was even more surprised when he saw that the Fire Fist King didn’t mind being addressed like this.

He just reached out and patted Han Ba on the shoulder before saying, “How are you doing, kid?”

Lin Fan was caught off guard again hearing this, but he gave a nod to show that this was indeed the case.

The Fire Fist King turned to look at him with a scowl before saying, “He’s someone that I’ve never managed to get rid of. We joined the Heavenly Demon Sect in the same sect recruitment and we’ve competed against each other all this time.”

Once he heard this, Lin Fan knew the relationship between the two of them.

Rivals, the two of them were rivals.

Lin Fan couldn’t help being surprised when he heard this, but that certainly did explain the way that the Iron Fist King was acting.

All of a sudden, Lin Fan jumped because of what the Fire Fist King said next.

“I don’t know if he’s his illegitimate son either. They do seem a bit similar, but it’s hard to tell.”

An awkward look appeared on Lin Fan’s face as he thought, “Was my expression that obvious?”

But he just gave a nod in response.

Since they agreed, there was no reason for him not to keep going with his plan.
