Chapter 1307: A strange request

Putting the matter of Xiao Guang behind him, Lin Fan headed back to his garden.

Though when he arrived, he found that there was someone there waiting for him.

This person was waiting in front of the house that he normally stayed in.

What this person did differently from the others was that he was waiting right in front of his home instead of booking an appointment. It was as if he wouldn’t leave unless he was able to meet Lin Fan.

Lin Fan narrowed his eyes to look at him when he heard this since it didn’t seem like this person was even planning on answering his question, but he was curious where he got this confidence from.

“Well, I don’t like how they look at me, so I figured I would try asking you.” Han Ba said in an honest voice that surprised Lin Fan.

With a wave of his hand, he said, “Come in then and let’s talk.”

Han Ba gave a nod before following Lin Fan in, as if he didn’t have any trace of doubt that Lin Fan would try doing something. It was as if he complicitly trusted Lin Fan with how easily he followed him.

Normally one wouldn’t act this way in the Heavenly Demon Sect since it was a demonic sect.

One would at least be wary of everything around them since there was no telling what would happen.

But this Han Ba was like a large child that seemed to trust whatever Lin Fan said.

“So what kind of request do you have?”

“I want you to help me grow a herb that will weaken my physique.”

“Huh?” Lin Fan couldn’t help being surprised and confused when he heard this.

After all, this was his first time hearing a request like this.

How could he not know this when Han Ba acted this way?

It was clear that Han Ba was a bit too innocent to be in a demonic sect like the Heavenly Demon Sect. So for him to act this way, there had to be a reason why.

“Why have you never interacted with others?” Lin Fan couldn’t help asking in a curious voice.

“Well it’s actually very simple. It’s because my master has kept me locked up for my training. I actually snuck out this time since I felt that this was the best thing for me.”
