Chapter 1306: I didn’t do anything

Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan were sent off in the end.

The Heavenly Demon said that he had to prepare some things first and he would reach out to Lin Fan once those things were prepared.

When the time came, they would work together to help Ye Qing Huan break through.

For now, there was nothing for Lin Fan to do.

So what Lin Fan chose to do was to head back to the position that he had been assigned.

There was no doubt that there would be people looking for him now that the rumours about him had been spread by the outer sect disciples. That meant that this was the best time for him to make use of this to establish himself.

Since others now knew about his generous nature, there was no doubt that they would come to seek him out so that they could become his subordinates.

It was different before since they were afraid of him, but this should change because of the rumours.

“I’m going to take care of a few things.” Ye Qing Huan suddenly said before they arrived at Lin Fan’s place.

Lin Fan was surprised to hear this, but he gave a nod and said, “Don’t worry about me. Just take care of the things that you need to take care of.”

Ye Qing Huan gave a nod in response, but it seemed like there was something else that she wanted with the way that she looked at him. Still, she didn’t actually do anything in the end as she turned to leave.

As she was leaving, Lin Fan could tell that what she was planning to do wasn’t normal.

He knew that she was most likely going to do something that would involve taking revenge on the Heavenly Demon. After all, that master of hers had been the one that had exposed her.

So even if he was her master, it was in her personality to take revenge for this.

Lin Fan knew that there was nothing good to come out of this if he got involved, which was why he didn’t ask any questions.

After Ye Qing Huan was gone, Lin Fan was all alone.

This time, there was someone that stopped him before he could leave. It wasn’t just a single person though, it was a group of men that came forward to stop him.

“What are you doing ignoring our Xiao Guang? Can’t you see that she’s asking for help?”

The girl that they called Xiao Guang acted like she didn’t hear any of this, but it was clear that she was paying attention with how she was peeking out of the corner of her eyes.

Lin Fan couldn’t help shaking his head with a bitter smile when he saw this, but he didn’t say anything as he looked into their eyes.

It wasn’t that he was threatening them by looking at them like this.

Rather, he could tell that there was something strange about their eyes…or rather it was better to say that there was something strange about the corner of their eyes.

It almost seemed like there was something that was glowing there.

“Please move out of the way.” Lin Fan said in a calm voice in the end.

The men that surrounded him seemed to take offense when they heard this, so they reached out as if they wanted to grab Lin Fan. But the moment that they did, they felt this pressure fall onto them that slammed them down into the ground.

Once Xiao Guang had been slammed into the ground and lost consciousness, Lin Fan released the men that he had been restraining.

It didn’t seem like they were interested in him anymore as they were completely focused on Xiao Guang, but they were also terrified of Ye Qing Huan who slammed her head into the ground.

In the end, it was only when Ye Qing Huan released her head and started walking forward that they went around her to help Xiao Guang.

The way that they acted, it was clear that Xiao Guang was their first priority.

“It’s not my fault. I didn’t do anything.” Lin Fan said when Ye Qing Huan came closer.

She narrowed her eyes to look at him, but eventually she said with a nod, “I know.”

Then in a much lower voice, she said, “But it seemed like you were enjoying it.”

Lin Fan didn’t know what to say there since it didn’t seem like words would be able to convince her. So in the end, he just didn’t say anything as he waited for her to come over and grab his arm before dragging him away.

As he was leaving, he couldn’t help taking a look at the men that were helping Xiao Guang.

“You think that they’re pitiful?” Ye Qing Huan suddenly asked.

Lin Fan didn’t say anything at first, but then he said, “It’s their own fault for having this weak mentality in the first place. It’s their own fault for not being able to resist the charm technique that she’s using.”

That was what that nagging feeling that Lin Fan had been feeling was.

He had a strong resistance, so it didn’t actually work on him.

The only thing he felt was just a small annoyance that bothered him.
