Chapter 1170: Training for the younger generation

Lin Fan couldn’t help looking around the room again, but he still wasn’t able to find anything different about the people that were here.

After thinking about it, he finally asked in a whisper, “Do you two know anything?”

But there was no answer that came from the two that were with them.

They had come along with them as observers, but Lin Fan knew that they were there to save them if anything went wrong. Lin Fan had been confused why he even needed observers in the first place, but now he knew the reason after hearing what Ye Qing Huan had to say.

But even if he knew why, it didn’t seem like they were going to be of any help with the way that they remained silent.

Lin Fan couldn’t help knitting his brows slightly when he heard this, but then he gave a sigh as he knew what was happening.

So he turned to Ye Qing Huan to ask, “Will you tell me what’s happening?”

Ye Qing Huan gave a nod before saying, “All you had to do was ask.”

“If that was all that I had to do, I would have done it a long time ago.” Lin Fan complained inside of his head, but he didn’t say it out loud. After all, there was nothing to gain from saying it out loud for Ye Qing Huan to hear.

She was only doing this just so she could tease him after all.

Seeing that he didn’t say anything, Ye Qing Huan then said, “This isn’t a good place to talk since we’re out in the open. How about we find a more private place to talk?”

Lin Fan nodded in agreement, but he still couldn’t help looking around one more time for the ones that Ye Qing Huan mentioned.

After leaving the restaurant, Ye Qing Huan brought them to a place that Lin Fan certainly didn’t expect.

When they arrived, Lin Fan and Mu Bao Bao both looked at Ye Qing Huan with strange looks. It was just that Ye Qing Huan didn’t seem to mind at all as she called for someone to bring them to a private room.

Then when they walked through the main hall of this place, there were strange looks that were cast in Lin Fan’s direction.

Ye Qing Huan and Mu Bao Bao were both beautiful women, so for Lin Fan to bring them to a place like this…

As for what this place was…

It was a brothel.

Lin Fan just had to endure those looks that were cast in his direction while secretly feeling bitter on the inside. There was a part of him that even wanted to complain, especially when there were looks that were cast in his direction that had an implied meaning.

This was another familiar voice.

It was Grandma Pan and it seemed like she had come along as Ye Qing Huan’s guardian just like how Yan Tian Ta and Hong Xi were Lin Fan’s guardians.

Lin Fan could also tell that Yan Tian Ta and Hong Xi seemed to be following Grandma Pan as they disappeared from the inside of the room.

Others might not be able to sense them, but Lin Fan could since he had been given a special item that allowed him to always sense where they were. This wasn’t something that he had requested, but it was something that they gave him because they chose to give it to him.

Once the room was secured, Ye Qing Huan said, “Well, there is a reason that we’re here. Did you not notice the monk that was in the brothel as well?”

That certainly was a strange thing to say.

A monk in a brothel…that definitely wasn’t following the vows of celibacy that a monk would have followed.

But for her to bring up a monk all of a sudden…

“The Buddhist Sect?” Lin Fan slowly asked in an uncertain voice.

This time, Ye Qing Huan didn’t seem to hide it from him as she gave a single nod.

The Buddhist Sect was one of the Five Great Sects and Ye Qing Huan mentioned that two other groups had been at the restaurant. Since they had been separated from each other, it should mean that these were three separate groups.

That meant that at least four out of the Five Great Sects were represented here.

If four of the Five Great Sects were gathered here, it wasn’t as if the fifth one would be missing.

“They’re all young people that were sent here, just like you and me.” Ye Qing Huan said this instead of providing more information.

But this did give Lin Fan some more information that he wanted.

For them to send only the younger generation…

“Is this a training trip for the younger generation of the Five Great Sects?”

But it wasn’t as if it was important enough that it was something that one sect had to monopolize.

That was why the Five Great Sects had been able to share these ruins all this time.

“They don’t mind sharing it with the Heavenly Demon Sect?” Lin Fan couldn’t help asking when he finished hearing Ye Qing Huan’s explanation.

A smile once again surfaced on Ye Qing Huan’s lips as she said, “Even if they minded, what would they be able to do? If the Heavenly Demon Sect wants something, it’s not as if they would be able to stop us. Since this is only a minor ruin that’s good for training the younger generation, there was no reason for them to fight over it.”

Lin Fan slowly nodded in understanding.

It seemed that his masters had sent him here for a good reason and it seemed that they were also favouring Mu Bao Bao because they insisted that she come with him.

He had already seen that the relationship between his master and Deng Ying, the ancestor of the Deng Family was good. It seemed that this relationship between them was even better than he thought that they were willing to give this chance to Mu Bao Bao.

After thinking this through, Lin Fan came to the decision to go along with all of this.

This was one of the ruins that the Five Great Sects shared, so there was no doubt that the things inside of the ruins were anything but normal.

Seeing that Lin Fan accepted what she said, Ye Qing Huan added, “You shouldn’t let your guard down too much. Since it’s a joint training session, it’s only natural that everyone will be allowed to do what they want. If they want to interfere with us, then they’re perfectly free to do so, even if they use a bit too much force.”

Lin Fan couldn’t help knitting his brows when he heard this.

He knew exactly what she meant by this, so he was a bit surprised that they were this lax when it came to the younger generation.

“If they can’t prove their value, then they aren’t worthy of training.” Ye Qing Huan added when she saw the look on Lin Fan’s face.

Lin Fan slowly nodded in agreement to this since this was indeed how the cultivation world worked.

It seemed even more like how the Heavenly Demon Sect should be, but it wasn’t just them that had this rule.
