With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1171: Disliked from the beginning

“Then do you know anything about the people from the other four sects?” Lin Fan got to the main point of this meeting.

Ye Qing Huan revealed a faint smile before saying, “If I knew this, then wouldn’t it be too easy?”

Lin Fan couldn’t help knitting his brows when he heard this.

Seeing him like this, Ye Qing Huan said, “It’s not that easy to get that kind of information, you should already know that. If I could get that kind of information, then would those four righteous sects have been able to exist for this long?”

Lin Fan revealed an awkward look, but he nodded in agreement.

It was just that he had gotten used to Ye Qing Huan knowing everything, even if it was the four righteous sects.

But before this, they had only dealt with the sects that were under the four righteous sects.

Sects that were under them were completely different from those four righteous sects that were powerful enough to be called the Five Great Sects. Even if it was the Heavenly Demon Sect, it wasn’t as if they would be able to get information on them.

As such, it wasn’t strange that Ye Qing Huan didn’t know anything about this.

Ye Qing Huan changed the topic by suddenly saying, “Right, you’ll need these.”

Lin Fan and Mu Bao Bao were surprised by the things that Ye Qing Huan took out, but they still accepted them in the end.

“So it seems like everyone has gathered.”

“Are you trying to act like our leader? Who do you think you are?”

“It’s exactly because we don’t know who each other are that we need to act like this, right?”

This was a place that was in the middle of nowhere.

There was a group of cloaked people that were just standing here.

Among them were Lin Fan, Mu Bao Bao, and Ye Qing Huan who were wearing the cloaks that Ye Qing Huan had provided. Only these weren’t just any cloaks that she had taken out, these were special cloaks that were considered spiritual items.

After all, the array that was on these cloaks were special arrays that when activated allowed the user to hide any trace of themselves from the people that were around them.

As long as they didn’t want to show a sign, then they wouldn’t show a sign.

But in this case, this item was just used to hide their identities.

After all, as people that came from the Five Great Sects, they didn’t lack special spiritual items. It was clear that all of them brought the same ones that would allow them to detect those that were wearing the cloak, but it didn’t seem like anyone here could figure out each other’s identities.

The only problem that Lin Fan and Mu Bao Bao had was how tacky the robes that Ye Qing Huan prepared were.

But it turned out that this wasn’t Ye Qing Huan’s personal choice.

After all, everyone’s cloaks had the same tacky design to them.

Was this all part of keeping everyone from finding out each other’s identities?

Regardless of what it was, it really was strange seeing all these people with these strange cloaks on.

But in the end, the tone of the conversation was changed with a single sentence.

“So which one of you is from the Heavenly Demon Sect?”

The one who asked this was wearing a red cloak with a yellow stripe that reminded Lin Fan of a race car in his past life. But this was clearly a person and not a car, which was why it was strange seeing him wear this kind of cloak.

Still, the moment that this person asked this, everyone immediately turned to look at him.

There wasn’t a single person that said anything, but everyone could tell that whoever this person was, he was trying to stir up trouble by asking this question.

In the end, someone finally couldn’t take it anymore and asked, “Aren’t you just trying to draw attention from yourself by asking this? It’s clear that you’re the guilty one and are trying to draw away everyone’s attention from yourself by posing as someone from our righteous sects.”

The person that spoke first turned to look at the one that was accusing them before suddenly breaking out in laughter, “See how they’re trying to accuse me now? It’s clear that they’re trying to push the suspicion from themselves.”

It really seemed like they were about to start a fight, but someone stopped them in the end.

“Enough of that. There’s no point in trying to provoke each other like this. We still need each other to open up the ruins or else none of us will be able to gain any benefits.”

The two that had been arguing didn’t seem like they were going to back down at first, but eventually they turned around and both gave snorts as if they were done with each other.

It seemed that they were disappointed, but the reason for that was because they didn’t get what they wanted. They had clearly both just done this to see if they could get any clues from the others, but this third person cut them off.

Though when he turned around, it didn’t seem like he was satisfied as he said, “If any of you demonic scum get in my way, don’t blame me for showing no mercy.”

It was clear that he didn’t have any respect for the Heavenly Demon Sect, but the way that he acted showed that he didn’t have any respect for the rest of the sects either.

Just like this, this person was turned into the public enemy.

He was the one person that was disliked by everyone from the beginning.

That was just how it was when one wasn’t able to control their emotions.

In the end, the third person that spoke suddenly pulled out something that they showed everyone.

This thing in their hand was some kind of key.

The moment that this key appeared, it was as if there was this resonance that came from the air.

It was as if there was something that responded to the appearance of this key. It was something that couldn’t be seen with the naked eye that was in this area.

Everyone could feel the fluctuations that were coming from the air that showed that there was something there, but Lin Fan and Mu Bao Bao had no idea what it was.

After this first person took out their key, the others slowly took out keys as well.

There were five of them, one for each of the five sects.

Ye Qing Huan naturally had the key for their group, which was the key from the Heavenly Demon Sect.

Once all of the keys had been gathered, there was this light that appeared around all of them at the same time. With the way that the light appeared around these keys, it really seemed like there was some kind of resonance between them.

After this light gathered around the keys for a bit, the five keys suddenly shot out light at the same time. These beams of light gathered in a singular point in front of the ones that were holding the key.

Once these beams of light came together, they melded together to form a door in the air.

This door didn’t seem like it was going to do anything until it suddenly swung open.

However, there wasn’t anyone that moved after it swung open.

Instead, everyone just looked at each other as if they were waiting for the other people to make the first move. After all, no one wanted to be the first one that dived into this unknown door.

Even if they knew that this was the door to the ruins that they had been sent here to clear, that didn’t mean that they wanted to be the first.

There was a long silence that lingered in the air before it was finally broken by…

“Ha, ha, ha, I never thought that you people would be this cowardly. You’re this afraid of some random door like this?” The one person that had broken the silence the first time was the one that broke the silence this time by using the same move as before.

He tried to provoke the others into acting, but it was clear that no one was falling for this.

Instead, they just looked at him and said, “If you’re so brave, you can go first.”

When that person heard this, he couldn’t help falling silent.

He just looked at everyone else that was looking at him, but it didn’t seem like he was going to say anything. With the way that he stood there silently, it really seemed like he was waiting for anyone else to say something.

In the end, no one said a single thing as they waited for a response from him.

In the end, when his pride was being poked at like this, he had no choice…

“Fine, I’ll go first. But don’t blame me if I take everything worth taking.”

Without even giving the others a chance to speak, he waved his hand at his companions and they headed through the door like he said.

At the very least, it could be said that he was brave.

Or it could be said that he was confident in his abilities.

Once he went through, the clock was ticking for everyone else as they looked at each other.

In the end, everyone else also entered the door.
