Chapter 517: Chapter 335: The Fat Silkworm’s Metamorphosis

Irena glanced at the several pieces of jewelry on the ground, all shimmering with various colors. Her eyes suddenly lit up. She picked up a bracelet emitting a gentle yellow glow and said, "This is a Crystal Jade Ring, a very rare Soul Artifact. It can amplify one’s Spiritual Power. I’ll take this one; you can have the rest."

"Alright!" Han Ning nodded, stuffing all the remaining items into his pockets.

"Kumi~ Kumi!"

The All-Encompassing Spiritual Silkworm, which had long been waiting impatiently, continuously sent him eager Spiritual Messages.

"Don’t be hasty, Little Fatty Silkworm. We’ll find a safe place first, then I’ll let you eat the Dragon Heart," Han Ning said with a smile, placating it.

"Kumi!" Hearing this, the Little Fatty Silkworm immediately quieted down. It hid within its master’s body, tucking in its little claws, its eyes twinkling with anticipation.

Considering that the Copper Mirror only provided a short-distance teleportation within the same plane and that Ruiyue could still pursue them, the group didn’t linger in the room.

Lin Ke was the first to get up and push open the room’s main door.

Han Ning followed behind. As he stepped out of the room, the view suddenly opened up before him.

He saw that they were on the fifth or sixth floor of a tall tower.

A massive, translucent membrane appeared far above. Occasionally, large bubbles would pass through it, wobbling as they rose into the sky.

Without a doubt, they were still underwater, but the translucent membrane was holding back a tremendous amount of water.

Farther out was an endless darkness that gave one a feeling of oppressive fear.

This giant, translucent membrane enveloped a dense cluster of ancient-style buildings, an area countless times larger than the courtyard they had just arrived in.

It was basically the size of a small town.

Just then, Lin Ke suddenly said, "There are several powerful Spiritual Energy fluctuations not far ahead."

She extended a finger, pointing toward the center of the town at a magnificent palace nearly as tall as the translucent membrane.

This palace truly lived up to all of Han Ning’s fantasies about the legendary Dragon Palace.

The entire palace was built from multicolored coral and radiated an iridescent, glassy light.

Thirty-six Flood Dragon Pillars, crafted from a special kind of coral, stood erect on all four sides of the palace.

In truth, she didn’t need to point it out; the other two had already noticed.

Flashes of light in various colors emanated from the palace ahead from time to time.

"This light..." A strange glint flashed in Irena’s eyes, and she exclaimed in surprise and doubt, "Someone actually got here before us?"

"And... they’re strong. Such powerful Spiritual Energy!" Lin Ke took a deep breath, her expression suddenly turning grim. Watching the approaching lights, she said, "They’ve noticed us."

The words had barely left her mouth when a low roar echoed from the distance.

BOOM!

An inexplicable ripple spread through the air.

A transparent shockwave expanded from the distance, and everything in its path was obliterated into dust.

A light breeze blew past, and the shockwave vanished.

"I didn’t expect anyone else to be here," a rough voice called out.

A giant elephant clad in silver-white battle armor appeared beside them.

"Oh? It’s Shi Zhou."

Seeing the figure on the giant elephant, the group breathed a small sigh of relief.

A giant of a man, nearly three meters tall, was sitting cross-legged on the elephant’s back. It was none other than the lion-headed giant from the Barbaric Beast Race of the Surface Continent Group, with whom they had shared a table earlier.

’What a coincidence. First Ruiyue, and now Shi Zhou. How did the few people I met at the banquet all end up here in the Flood Dragon Ruins?’ Han Ning found it strange.

"It’s not that strange. I also received news from others not long ago. Rumor has it that deep within the Flood Dragon Ruins, there exists an Emperor Level Flood Dragon True Essence. I estimate that nearly half the people in this Secret Realm are heading this way," Shi Zhou explained.

"Flood Dragon True Essence? What’s that?" Han Ning asked, puzzled.

"According to legend, the Flood Dragon True Essence is a treasure left behind by a Flood Dragon that had nearly reached the level of a True God. Before dying, it condensed its entire life’s wisdom into its brain. It can spark intelligence in a Soul Beast and improve its Talent. It works on most Soul Beasts with a Talent rating below A."

Upon hearing this, Han Ning looked shocked. "You’re saying that if a Soul Beast with B Talent consumes it, it could be raised to B+ or even A-Talent?"

"That’s right. The specific effect depends on the wisdom contained within the Flood Dragon True Essence. However... any Flood Dragon capable of leaving behind a True Essence must have at least partially awakened an Ancient Dragon Bloodline," Lin Ke said, nodding with a grave expression.

"I suspect this ruin is actually a mansion left behind by a True Dragon." ℯℯ𝑙.

"Why don’t you join us? Irena, you’re powerful, so you’d be a great addition to our strength. When we enter the palace, we can divide the spoils according to contribution," Shi Zhou invited.

"Us? Who else is with you?" Irena asked, looking into the distance.

"A Beast Master from the Blood Shark Family and I have formed a temporary team. There are also a few guys from other families at the palace entrance," Shi Zhou explained.

Irena didn’t speak, her gaze falling upon Han Ning.

"Let’s go take a look."

...

The group arrived at the palace entrance on their Soul Beasts.

A dozen or so Beast Masters of various appearances had already gathered before the extravagant gates.

Combined with the various Soul Beasts that radiated powerful auras, the entrance was quite lively.

"That’s Blood Rust. He’s currently the second-ranked Beast Master in the Blood Shark Family under the age of thirty," Shi Zhou briefly introduced his companion.

Blood Rust had a triangular, shark-like head, sharp fangs, and an untamable, arrogant look in his eyes.

Though arrogant and untamable, he wasn’t an idiot. He could discern the terrifying fluctuations emanating from Irena’s companion Soul Beast, and the disdainful expression on his face lessened slightly.

After both sides briefly introduced themselves, they began to discuss the matter of entering the palace.

"Based on my deductions, this palace is very likely a place where the descendants of a True Dragon stored their treasures long ago. Of course, the danger won’t be low either," Blood Rust stated confidently.
