Chapter 518: Chapter 335: Fat Silkworm’s Metamorphosis (Part 2)

"Obviously. The question is, how do we get in?" Shi Zhou rolled his eyes.

Han Ning glanced at the lavish palace. He had a feeling his panel could forcibly break the restriction at the Dragon Palace’s entrance, but with powerful enemies all around, it wasn’t wise to stick his neck out. So, he kept his mouth shut.

"I don’t know. My Blood Shark Family doesn’t study Spiritual Arrays much. We’ll just have to wait for those octopuses from the Wangchao Family to come take a look," Blood Rust said with a shrug.

"Where are the Octopus Heads?" Shi Zhou glanced at the other Beast Masters gathered nearby and bellowed.

"They’re on their way! What’s the damn rush? The Octopus Heads are big shots; you have to *invite* them!" someone shouted back.

"Octopus Head?" Han Ning knew they couldn’t be talking about Bobo Man. ’It must be someone else from the Wangchao Family.’

A short while later, another wave of Spiritual Energy fluctuations came from the distance.

A colossal Crystal Soul Beast descended from the sky.

Ruiyue, who was on its back, had a murderous look on her face. She grabbed a purple creature from behind her and threw him down in front of the gate.

"Ruiyue, you damn woman! You invite me here and you’re still this arrogant? If it weren’t for..." the purple creature cursed, a faint blue glow of Telekinesis radiating from its body as it forced itself to stabilize its form.

Only then did everyone get a clear look. It was a purple octopus, nearly 1.8 meters tall, who bore about a fifty percent resemblance to Bobo Man.

"Oh? So it’s Lailake!"

When the spectating Beast Masters saw the Octopus Head’s face, they all got an expression that said, ’This is a done deal.’

"Who is he? He seems pretty powerful." Even though Bobo Man had given him a rundown, there were still many people Han Ning didn’t recognize.

"He’s the top figure of the younger generation from the Lailai Octopus Clan—the third largest power within the Wangchao Family. Before His Highness Prince Bobo Man was born, he was the most promising Beast Master in the Wangchao Family, specializing in Spiritual Arrays and forging Soul Artifacts."

As Lin Ke was explaining this to Han Ning, Lailake had already sprung into action.

At the same time, both of them felt a sharp gaze on their backs. They turned to see that Ruiyue had spotted them. A thick aura of resentment emanated from her, but she held back from erupting immediately because of the crowd.

"Everyone, move aside!"

Lailake waved his tentacles and floated to the front of the great gate.

His deep purple eyes carefully studied the intricately dragon-patterned doors. He extended a tentacle and tapped it against the surface.

A small, transparent octopus emerged from the tip of his tentacle and drilled into the door.

Immediately after, a glint of wisdom flashed in Lailake’s eyes. The hundreds, even thousands, of tentacles below him waved simultaneously, tracing incredibly complex trajectories in the air.

The other Beast Masters all lined up in a tacit understanding, none of them making a sound.

"Hmm! So that’s how it is!"

A moment later, Lailake retracted his tentacles and announced loudly,

"I have seen through the Spiritual Array on this gate! I now need at least five Upper Monarch Level, ten Middle Monarch Level, and twenty Lower Monarch Level Soul Beasts to simultaneously blast different points on the doors with Spiritual Energy Beams and destroy the Spiritual Energy Circuits."

Lailake’s tentacles jabbed wildly, and points of Spiritual Energy lit up to mark the different positions on the gate.

"You all discuss amongst yourselves and send out your Soul Beasts to attack these spots. I’ve already marked them for you."

"Oh! And one more thing. After the gate is open, I get to go in first and pick the treasure!"

"Deal, deal. Master Lailake, if you would just step aside for a moment." Shi Zhou waved his hand politely, then turned to the Beast Masters beside him.

"My Silver Armored Mammoth is one. Who else has an Upper Monarch Level Soul Beast?"

Everyone looked at each other, but the vast majority remained silent.

"Hey, Irena, Miss Ruiyue, I know what you’re capable of. We’re all here for treasure, so let’s put our grudges aside for now. It’s a win-win for everyone!"

The rough-featured Shi Zhou was actually playing peacemaker.

"Hmph." Ruiyue snorted coldly and sent out her Soul Beast.

Irena pursed her lips and also sent out her Wind Spirit.

At the same time, a Beast Master from the Red Manta and another from the Dread Whale Family sent out their Upper Monarch Level Soul Beasts.

There were more than enough Middle and Lower Monarch Soul Beasts to go around. After a quick discussion, everyone sent theirs out, including Han Ning’s Egg Pancake.

"On my command! Three... two... one... fire!"

BOOM!

In an instant, multicolored beams of Spiritual Energy shot out, striking the different positions.

The magnificent palace gate was immediately enveloped in Spiritual Energy of all colors and gradually began to melt.

Ten seconds later, the gate vanished completely, revealing a pitch-black space within.

Lailake, standing at the front of the crowd, darted his eyes and transformed into a purple shadow, instantly rushing toward the entrance.

"Quick, get in!" Seeing this, the others scrambled to rush in one after another.

Magnificent!

The light radiating from countless treasures nearly blinded Han Ning.

Ahead was an area the size of several football fields, its floor covered with all sorts of precious Spiritual Materials shimmering with a hazy luster.

There were so many that Han Ning, without relying on his panel for Authentication, could only recognize a huge, faint blue boulder.

Space Stones taller than a person were discarded in a corner like trash.

As for the other Spiritual Materials, he couldn’t even recognize them.

But he had a professional at his side. Lin Ke began rattling off the names of the precious Spiritual Materials she saw like she was reading from a menu:

"Dragon’s Saliva Fragrance and Dragon Saliva Grass can be used to increase Spiritual Power... Elemental Essences of various Attributes—the ones here must be Emperor grade or higher... A Mountain-Suppressing Stone, a key material for an Earth Type Soul Beast to evolve to B+ Level Talent... Water God Essence, an essential Spiritual Material for a Water Type Soul Beast to evolve to A Level... Oh my god!"

Lin Ke’s voice was trembling as she spoke.

It wasn’t just her; Shi Zhou and the others inside the palace also wore expressions of delighted surprise.

But they were experienced Beast Masters, after all. They didn’t make any rash moves, choosing instead to observe the palace’s interior.

The palace interior wasn’t divided into floors; a single glance took you all the way up to the vaulted ceiling.

High up on the ceiling, a giant egg was held aloft by some unknown power.

"An egg?" Han Ning couldn’t help but exclaim in shock. "A Dragon Egg?"

The walls of the entire palace would occasionally light up with an aqua blue, ripple-like glow that would flash past, converging on the giant egg at the very top.

"Could it be... the egg of a True Dragon?" This time, the crowd’s composure broke.

Blood Rust was the first to lose his patience. He ordered the Soul Beast beside him to form a Water Rope and cast it toward the Dragon Egg.

"Wait—"

Lailake began to send out his Spiritual Power, but before he could, Blood Rust’s Soul Beast had already tossed the long Water Rope. It wrapped around the giant egg without any resistance and pulled down hard.

CRACKLE~

As it pulled down, disaster struck.

The space before them suddenly shattered like a mirror.

Unseen blades sliced the space they occupied into pieces, separating them into individual cubes that began to spin rapidly before their astonished eyes.

Their vision blurred, and everyone’s figures vanished in an instant.

BOOM!

A brilliant light flared.

When Han Ning’s consciousness returned.

He found that Irena and Lin Ke were gone. Only his own Soul Beasts were still with him.

Beneath his feet was a deep corridor leading to an unknown area.

The walls on both sides were lined with dragon-headed stone carvings.

Inside their open mouths, faint blue flames burned.

"Chirp chirp?" Egg Pancake scanned its surroundings, curiously examining the stone carvings on the walls.

"Eee!" Fei Lin pressed close to Han Ning, the tip of its blade wreathed in a golden light.

Yin Yi landed behind Han Ning, her face full of vigilance.

The All-Encompassing Spiritual Silkworm emerged from its master’s body and sat on his shoulder. It held a blue, goose-egg-sized heart in its small claws, taking big bites while observing the surroundings.

’Alone? Perfect!’ A grin spread across Han Ning’s lips. A blue interface appeared before his eyes. "Panel, analyze the structure of the entire Dragon Palace!"

[Detecting...]

[Detection complete. Deconstructing the entire palace will consume an estimated 10,000,000 Energy. Deconstruct?]

He glanced at his Energy Points, which were just over 10,000,000, and silently commanded, "Yes!"

[Deconstructing...]

In an instant, a blue grid of light spread out from the center of his body in all directions, like a scanner.

On the panel’s interface, a complex architectural structure was rapidly being outlined.
