White Dragon Lord

Chapter 395: Plan to Destroy the World

  • Next Chapter

As days passed, the number of dragons arriving in the Sincaro Titan World through the Teleportation Platform steadily dwindled, falling well below the White Tower's maximum capacity.

The White Dragon Lord knew that nearly every dragon willing to answer Tiamat's call had already arrived. Unless some major shift occurred, the fourteen thousand dragons within the White Tower would constitute the entire invasion force.

Certain the White Tower's Teleportation Platform could meet their needs, the White Dragon Lord dispatched dragons to retrieve the scattered teleportation nodes and called a mass assembly.

He brought the White Tower down upon the frozen sea and flew to its peak. A massive swarm of dragons beat their wings, hovering in the air around him.

"My kin! Five days ago, the Titans attacked us! They slaughtered three hundred and fourteen of our people! Tell me, what can we do for our fallen kin?!"

"Vengeance!"

"Vengeance!"

"..."

Their wrathful roars sent ripples across the ocean surface. The White Dragon Lord gestured for the dragons to quiet down.

"Good! Avenging our dead is all we can do now! But if we clash head-on with the Titan army, we will lose even more of our own. I have spent these past few days thinking, and I have finally devised a perfect solution. It will slake the hatred in our hearts while sparing us further casualties."

The White Dragon Lord swept his gaze across the assembly. The dragons listened in silence.

"The Titans have rooted themselves in this world for over ten thousand years, accumulating countless fruits of civilization. My plan is to destroy it all! We will rip apart this cozy Titan nest."

"How?"

"By avoiding pitched battles. We will use the White Tower as our stronghold to wreak havoc upon the entire world. We will unleash tsunamis to drown the plains, launch surprise strikes to raze their cities, and assassinate any Titan caught alone!"

The dragons considered the feasibility of the White Dragon Lord's plan and quickly realized it was a brilliant approach.

Relying on the White Tower's mobility and stealth, they could annihilate whichever city they pleased. By the time the main Titan forces arrived, the dragons would have already retreated into the tower and vanished without a trace.

Imagining the Titans eating their dust, burning with furious wrath they could not vent, a wave of vindictive pleasure rippled through the swarm.

Seeing the thoughtful, faint smiles spreading across most of the dragons' faces, the White Dragon Lord felt satisfied.

Avoiding a direct confrontation was the result of his careful deliberation. Ultimately, the Titans and dragons were evenly matched; scoring a major victory with minimal casualties in a straight fight was practically impossible.

Mutually assured destruction was not the outcome the White Dragon Lord wanted. His original goal in leading the invasion of the Sincaro Titan World was to take revenge on the Titans and slaughter as many of them as possible.

Seizing control of the entire world would be ideal, of course. But if they couldn't conquer it, they would ravage it as much as possible. The dragons had absolutely no qualms about building their joy upon the suffering of their mortal enemies, the Titans.

With the overarching strategy of avoiding direct combat firmly set, the White Dragon Lord dismissed the assembly and gathered the High-Tier Legendary Dragons inside the White Tower to plot their route.

A three-dimensional map formed of pale blue mana materialized in the air, rendering mountains, rivers, and plains in sharp detail. The magic map displayed the Ice-Bound Territory in its entirety, with a conspicuous white dragon head marking the edge.

The White Dragon Lord pointed at the dragon head marker.

"Everyone! This is our current location! Next, we will pilot the White Tower and wage a retaliatory guerrilla war against the Titans. We need to map out a route that maximizes their losses."

Together, the High-Tier Legendary Dragons studied the map, finalizing their guerrilla route and combat doctrine. Leaving aside the intricate flight path, their strategy boiled down to three main points.

1. Trigger tsunamis to drown coastal regions.

2. Burn down the inland forests.

3. Attack the cities to sever the roots of Titan civilization.

According to the dragons' plan, after this series of attacks, the Sincaro Titan World would not recover its current prosperity for another ten thousand years.

With all preparations complete, the dragons boarded the White Tower, and the White Dragon Lord piloted it into the night sky, vanishing from sight.

Upon reaching their first planned target, the White Dragon Lord halted the White Tower, and the dragons poured out.

Hovering high above, the White Dragon Lord gazed into the distance. Beneath a starry sky lay a peaceful, serene plain carpeted in lush grass, where wild animals frequently roamed.

Amidst the pristine plains were marks of civilization. At the edge of the White Dragon Lord's vision sat a Titan city, ringed by several giant villages for protection. The gemstone atop the city's Magic Tower shone like a lighthouse in the dark.

"Begin!"

Led by a group of High-Tier Legendary Dragons, a massive flight of dragons surged toward the distant Titan city.

The White Dragon Lord remained in place, retrieving and blowing into a conch shell.

Woooo—!

The mournful conch blast echoed through the silent night. Strange mana plunged into the ocean alongside the sound, and a seven-story-high tidal wave began to take shape.

Besides the White Dragon Lord, a few other dragons were also chanting spells along the coastline to amplify the tsunami's power.

Far across the plains, some of the dragons unleashed their Dragon Breath upon the trees. The earth transformed into a sea of fire, and panic erupted atop the distant Titan city's City Wall.

Armed with absolute power, the dragons saw no need to hide their approach.

Eventually, the vanguard of High-Tier Legendary Dragons entered the Magic Tower's attack range. Against dozens of High-Tier Legendary Dragons, even a High-Tier Legend garrisoned inside the tower could do nothing.

After a brief, token resistance, the furious High-Tier Legendary Dragons shattered the Magic Tower's defenses and snapped the structure in half.

A one-sided massacre followed. In such a short time, the tower's Teleportation Platform could not ferry in many reinforcements. Before an army of thousands of dragons, a few Titans were no different from one or two hundred.

As the faraway Titan city burned, the tsunami crashed onto land. The once-placid ocean now raged like a tantrum-throwing child. Massive torrents of seawater swallowed the earth, uprooting trees, crushing homes, and drowning farmlands.

Ultimately, the tsunami swept over the blazing Titan city. Doomsday arrived for the surviving giants cowering within.

Watching the city be swallowed by seawater, the dragons flew toward the approaching White Tower and slipped inside. The White Dragon Lord activated the stealth magic array and once again piloted the White Tower into the night sky, vanishing from sight.

Shortly after the dragons departed, the Power of Dark Erosion arrived at the scene aboard the Mother of Lightning's Floating Tower. Staring down at the flooded continent, the Power of Dark Erosion's face darkened, speechless for a long time.

The Mother of Lightning turned livid, her face shifting between rage, sorrow, and dread. Though this was not her own territory, she couldn't help but feel a sadness, as the fox grieves for the hare.

The High-Tier Legendary Titans erupted in an uproar.

"These shameless lizards! How dare they do this!!!"

"We must show them the consequences!"

"But where are they now?!"

"..."

The Titans hungered for revenge, but they did not know the dragons' current location.

An hour later, the Titans found out, because an inland Magic Tower transmitted an attack warning.

The Power of Dark Erosion was just about to order reinforcements, but remembering the hundred-odd Titans who had just teleported to their deaths, he abandoned the thought. Instead, he piloted the Floating Tower straight toward the site of the attack.

By the time the frantic Titans arrived in the Floating Tower, the dragons had long since vanished. All that remained were mountains engulfed in a sea of fire and a ruined city, with the flames still spreading in every direction.

Smelling the pungent smoke from the burning, the Titans' faces turned livid. At this point, even the most slow-witted Titan understood the dragons' intent: to destroy this world!

Even understanding the dragons' plan, the Titans could not stop them, because they had no way to track the White Tower's movements.

"High Priest! We... we need to put out the fires..."

The Mother of Lightning stammered out her plea, but the Power of Dark Erosion's face was frighteningly bleak.

"There is no need. No matter how fast we extinguish the flames, we will never outpace the dragons starting them."

The Mother of Lightning's complexion shifted from pale to purple like a chameleon. After a moment of thought, she realized the Power of Dark Erosion was right.

This world could not be saved!

Even knowing it could not be saved, the Titans could not just sit and watch. The Power of Dark Erosion continually prayed to his god for guidance while chasing the White Tower, yet remained forever one step behind.

As the White Tower flew, the dragons continued to burn. Red Dragon Breath reduced the entire continent to a sea of fire, turning everything to ash. The Matron of Venom also devised an utterly ruthless scheme of her own: poisoning the water sources.

Thus, the Titans were greeted by this sight: the burned forests were stripped down to blackened stumps, and the woodland animals had been roasted into charred corpses, collapsing into the thick beds of ash. The small rivers that originally cut through the woods were polluted into wastewater by the Dragon Breath of green and black dragons, transforming into toxic sludge where dead fish and shrimp drifted belly-up on the pale green surface.

Alongside their fury, waves of sorrow crashed over the Titans. It was practically foreseeable that this continent would become entirely inhospitable to life. Even if the giants survived the dragon attacks, they would slowly starve to death.

Though the Titans placed little value on the giants, there was no denying that they were the bedrock of Titan civilization, as giants were the producers of Titan society.

The mass death of these producers would undoubtedly deal a fatal blow to their civilization. Aside from fleeing this plane, the Titans seemed to have no other choice.

Finally, only a handful of Titan cities remained in the Ice-Bound Territory. The Power of Dark Erosion parked the Floating Tower over the largest one, standing guard like a warrior defending the last patch of pure land.

Every Titan choked on a breath of seething resentment. If they caught the White Tower this time, the Power of Dark Erosion would not hesitate over casualties like before. It was foreseeable what a brutal, tragic slaughter would unfold once these enraged Titans finally cornered the culprits who caused all this.

...

Elsewhere, after the White Dragon Lord led his kin to annihilate another Titan city and set it ablaze, the dragons conversed within the White Tower.

"Everyone! Over the past few days, we have destroyed a massive number of Titan cities, burning them completely to the ground. These Titans are definitely angry enough to want to fight us to the death."

Picturing the Titans fuming with smoke pouring from their ears, the dragons laughed happily. The more unhappy the Titans were, the happier the dragons became.

The White Dragon Lord continued, "However, I am slightly concerned. There are only five Titan cities left on this continent now. Our chances of running straight into the Titans are extremely high."

Flame of the Molten Mountain said, "What is there to fear? If we meet them, we fight them! I haven't killed to my heart's content these past few days anyway!"

King of the Thunder Prison scoffed. "Hmph! You're always the fastest one to charge in!"

Aside from Flame of the Molten Mountain and a few other warmongers, most of the High-Tier Legendary Dragons thoughtfully considered the White Dragon Lord's words.

Just as the White Dragon Lord had said, the current Titans were a powder keg filled with rage, ready to explode the moment they saw a dragon. Even if the dragons withstood the explosion's power, they would suffer heavy losses.

Imagining the Titans' eyes crimson with anger, most dragons still felt some apprehension in their hearts; after all, both sides were evenly matched in strength.

"Leader Amos, do you have a good plan? We came here to beat the Titans, not to take a beating."

"The solution is very simple: we switch continents and continue the destruction!"

The White Dragon Lord chuckled.

"Don't forget, the Lord of Red Lotus's main tower is still waiting for us. After we destroy the Red Lotus Continent, there's still the Mother of Lightning's territory."

The dragons' eyes lit up. Earlier, due to the pressure of Titan reinforcements, the White Tower had to stop to receive their own reinforcements. Now that all their reinforcements had arrived, they could continue with the previous plan.

The overwhelming majority of the dragons approved of the White Dragon Lord's plan. Piloting the invisible White Tower, the White Dragon Lord flew into the vast ocean, heading toward the Territory of the Lord of Crimson Lotus.

...

Having waited for the better part of a day, the Power of Dark Erosion had still not seen the White Tower, nor had he received any news of the other cities being attacked. A sense of foreboding gradually rose in his heart.

Suddenly, the Titan responsible for outside communications ran in.

"High Priest! Bad news! The main tower on the Red Lotus Continent is under attack! Those damned dragons have gone to the Red Lotus Continent."

The Titans broke into an uproar. Their fury spiked to the heavens, yet they had nowhere to vent it.

"Damned dragons!!!"

Due to the outbreak of war, the Titans on the Red Lotus Continent had mobilized in almost full force. The Titans could practically imagine the powerlessness the few remaining defenders felt when facing an army of thousands of dragons and a Floating Tower.

Barely able to suppress the anger in his heart, the Power of Dark Erosion hurriedly sat down and prayed to his deity.

In the hall, the numerous High-Tier Legendary Titans argued fiercely.

"What do we do now? These dragons are as slippery as eels!"

"Chase after them!"

"And continue letting the dragons lead us in circles?! Without a way to track that damned Magic Tower, chasing them is useless!"

"Are we just to sit and watch the Red Lotus Continent repeat this disaster?!"

"..."

Suddenly, the Power of Dark Erosion opened his eyes, revealing a look of joy. He immediately stood and faced the bickering Titans, striking the ground with his Priest Staff.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The sound of the metal staff striking the Stone Slab was not loud, yet it seemed to resonate directly in the Titans' hearts. The Titans couldn't help but turn their gazes to the Power of Dark Erosion.

"Everyone! Let us thank the great Ancestor of the Dark Titans! Upon learning of the dragons' rampage, the ancestral god traded with the God of Hunting for a Divine Artifact! This time, these cunning dragons will not escape!"
