Chapter 228 -224: Interstellar Deserted Star Farm Woman 35

“Go to the Main Star? That… might not be possible for now.”

Ji Xiaosong refused without a second thought.

“Don’t get the wrong idea. The reason I can’t go is that I’ve planted many toxin-free plants on Wa Star. My plan is to spend the coming time removing all the interstellar toxins from the planet. I haven’t accomplished that yet, so I can’t leave.”

“So, you’re the one selling the toxin-free fruits and vegetables?”

Dai Lixing had his suspicions, but he was still a little shocked to hear Ji Xiaosong admit it herself.

He just knew it. The woman he’d set his heart on was anything but ordinary.

“That’s right. And it’ll be done soon. In a few more years, I should be able to remove all the toxins from the entire planet. Maybe other planets will even be able to learn from Wa Star’s experience in the future.”

Listening to Ji Xiaosong, Dai Lixing let his gaze linger on her for a long time, lost in thought.

He saw the immense passion in her eyes for transforming Wa Star, and as he looked around at the cozy, lived-in courtyard, an unprecedented sense of belonging washed over him.

This seemingly ordinary Wa Star had become incredibly special because of Ji Xiaosong and Ji Sui’an’s presence.

“Song Song,”

Dai Lixing suddenly spoke, his voice tinged with an unquestionable resolve. “I’ve decided. We’ll hold our wedding right here on Wa Star.”

He took Ji Xiaosong’s hand, his gaze sincere and ardent. “This is the place where you’re fighting for your dream, the place where you and Sui An live. It holds a special meaning. I want everyone in the interstellar community to know that our home is here, on this hopeful planet, Wa Star.”

Ji Xiaosong was slightly taken aback, a flash of surprise in her eyes.

“Have the wedding on Wa Star? Wouldn’t that be too simple? After all, you’re an interstellar marshal. Your wedding should be grand and stately.”

She frowned slightly, a hint of worry in her voice.

Dai Lixing shook his head gently, a soft smile gracing his lips. “To me, the most important part of a wedding isn’t the pageantry, but the person I’m marrying. To make a lifelong promise to you right here, on this land you love, in front of the entire universe—that’s what would be most meaningful.”

“Besides, we can combine the wedding with a showcase of Wa Star’s transformation. We can let everyone see our hopes for this planet. It might even attract more attention and support for your work.”

He tightened his grip on her hand and continued, “We can invite elites from all across the interstellar community. Let them witness Wa Star’s metamorphosis, and let them witness our love. This won’t just be our wedding; it will be a declaration to the entire universe that we will protect this home and safeguard Wa Star’s future together.”

Dai Lixing grew more excited as he spoke, a plan gradually taking shape in his mind. He was confident that a wedding on Wa Star would become a legendary story told across the stars and would also help boost Ji Xiaosong’s dream.

“If that’s the case, then I’ll listen to you. When are you thinking of holding the wedding?”

“The sooner, the better, of course.”

“Then let’s do it in a month. That will give me just enough time to spruce up Wa Star a bit. At the very least, I’ll need to build some proper houses so the guests can stay for a few days. What do you think?”

“Everything is up to you.”

“While I’m getting Wa Star ready, you can go ahead and start arranging the wedding. Don’t worry, my son and I will be perfectly safe here on Wa Star. Trust me. Although I’ve never had my spiritual power measured, I’m sure it’s no lower than yours.”

Ji Xiaosong gently caressed Dai Lixing’s cheek, her gaze soft. “Li Xing, I know you’re worried about us, but the Construction of Wa Star requires my full attention. I’ll need to race against time this month to move things forward according to my plan. If you’re here, I’ll inevitably get distracted, always thinking about your feelings.”

She paused for a moment, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “Besides, you’re the interstellar marshal. A big event like preparing a wedding… only you can handle every detail and make it absolutely perfect.”

Dai Lixing’s brow furrowed, his eyes filled with worry. “But… I really don’t feel at ease leaving you and our son here alone. Wa Star seems peaceful, but you never know when an accident might happen.”

He gripped Ji Xiaosong’s hands tightly, as if she would vanish the moment he let go.

Ji Xiaosong patted the back of his hand reassuringly. “Oh, you. Don’t think of me as so fragile. I’ve lived here for so long, I’ve gotten a feel for Wa Star’s temperament. I can handle it. Besides, like I said, my spiritual power is quite high. I have more than enough to protect myself.”

She winked playfully and said, “Who knows, when a critical moment comes, I might be the one protecting you.”

Dai Lixing sighed helplessly. After a moment’s thought, he said, “Alright, then. I’ll go and prepare for the wedding, but I have to leave you with some protection.”

He quickly summoned Xiao Li and gave an order through his communicator: “Xiao Li, immediately dispatch ten of the most advanced defensive mechs to Wa Star. Set them to automatic defense mode to patrol the area where Song Song and Sui An are, twenty-four hours a day. Also, arrange for an elite guard unit to be on standby. If there are any anomalies on Wa Star, they are to provide immediate support.”

After giving these instructions, Dai Lixing turned back to Ji Xiaosong and said earnestly, “Song Song, I’ve arranged for the mechs and the guards. If you run into any danger, don’t try to be a hero. Contact me immediately, understand?”

Ji Xiaosong smiled and nodded. “Alright, I know you’re worried about us. You can go with an easy mind. I’ll take good care of myself and Sui An.”

Li Xing lingered in the courtyard for a long time before reluctantly boarding the Starship.

Before leaving, he kept looking back, his gaze fixed on Ji Xiaosong and Ji Sui’an. Only when the Starship lifted off and vanished into Wa Star’s sky did he finally tear his eyes away.

The moment Dai Lixing left, Ji Xiaosong breathed a sigh of relief.

‘I have to use Spells to transform Wa Star. If Dai Lixing were here, I’d have to find a way to cover it up.’

Even though Dai Lixing seemed to be head over heels in love with her right now, Ji Xiaosong still couldn’t let her guard down completely.

‘A person has to have their own trump cards, after all.’

‘If I let him know everything and something unexpected happened, I’d have no safety net.’

Rongrong floated down and transformed into a chair, which Ji Xiaosong sat down on.

“What are you planning to do next?”

Cradling Ji Sui’an and feeding him, Ji Xiaosong said slowly, “I’ll use Spells to build the houses. That will only take a few days. The design might take some thought, but that’s about it. It’s just that with all the things Dai Lixing has arranged to be sent here, we probably won’t be as free as before.”

“He’s just worried about you.”

“I know. But if I refused even something like this, he would not only get suspicious, but he’d also look like he’d done something wrong, which would make me feel guilty.”

“You *should* feel guilty. You erased the man’s memories, and now he thinks he did something so terrible it angered both gods and men.”

Rongrong manifested a pair of hands and tickled Ji Sui’an.

‘This little baby is so cute. It’s just a shame he’s stuck with such an unreliable mother.’
