Chapter 205: Chapter 201: Interstellar Deserted Star Farm Woman 12
"So generous?"
Ji Xiaosong was hefting the purple-glowing crystal when Dai Lixing suddenly pulled her into his arms.
His body heat radiated through their clothes as she heard him say in a muffled voice, "Don’t use your spiritual power to peek into my memories, especially..."
"Especially the parts about me?"
Ji Xiaosong reached out and poked his carotid artery. "Relax, I’m not interested in someone’s wet dreams."
Dai Lixing’s pupils contracted sharply, and he practically stumbled backward.
"N-Nothing like that..."
He had his own secret plan, having stored his feelings of love in these few crystals.
For years, he had always been headstrong and direct. No one had ever told him what it was supposed to be like to love someone.
He didn’t even know if he knew how to love, or if he was capable of it.
Ji Xiaosong didn’t tease him anymore, simply sitting quietly to practice her Cultivation under the grapevine trellis.
In a single afternoon, she had completely mastered the Second to Fifth Rank spiritual power Cultivation Method.
As evening fell, Ji Xiaosong made dessert. Dai Lixing ate all of it without a word and even furtively stored a few pieces in his Space Button.
"If you like them, I can just make more for you. You don’t have to set them aside."
Ji Xiaosong watched him sneakily hiding the cakes and couldn’t help but break into a wide grin.
"Then... I’ll have to trouble you."
"By the way, is your spaceship fixed?"
"Yes. I’ll run another test tomorrow morning, and it should be fine."
"So you’re leaving, then?"
Dai Lixing didn’t know what to say. He didn’t want to go.
"I know, even if you don’t say it. But I’m not sure how much of the toxin in your body is left to be cleared out."
"Almost done. There’s just a little bit left."
Dai Lixing kept his head down, gathering the dessert ingredients Ji Xiaosong had placed on the table, wanting to find more things to do with her.
"Xiaosong, focus on your Cultivation. Once I’ve taken care of my business, I’ll come back for you."
"I’ve told you before, my life is very good right now, and I have no plans to change anything in the near future. If I ever decide to leave Wa Star, I’ll let you know."
Ji Xiaosong didn’t press the issue, instead busying herself with making all sorts of fruit cakes.
Fortunately, she had a large stock of ingredients. Even after making a hundred or so, the fruit trees by the door were still laden with fruit.
"Xiaosong, have you ever thought about selling your fruits and vegetables? The ones you grow are toxin-free, which are highly sought after in the interstellar market."
"I haven’t really thought about it. We can talk about it later."
’First, get pregnant and have a child. I’ll think about making money once the kid is a little older.’ Ji Xiaosong already had a plan.
The Star Coins Dai Lixing had given her were more than enough to last a long time, so she didn’t need to worry about such things.
"That’s probably for the best. Wa Star has no defenses. If someone with ill intentions came to plunder it, you wouldn’t be able to stop them yet."
He was already mentally calculating how he could give the planetary shield he owned to Ji Xiaosong.
She was all alone here. If she were truly faced with a powerful family trying to seize her planet, she would have no choice but to suffer in silence.
That night, Ji Xiaosong made a full 500 fruit cakes for Dai Lixing.
After Dai Lixing had stored all the cakes in his Space Button, Ji Xiaosong waved her hand. "Eat them sparingly. You might not get many more chances to have them in the future. I’m going to take a shower. If you don’t have anything else to do, you can go to bed."
Although Ji Xiaosong knew the Cleaning Technique, she still preferred taking showers or baths.
The feeling of being completely enveloped by water was deeply comforting to her.
Dai Lixing watched Ji Xiaosong’s back as she turned and walked toward the bathroom, his Adam’s apple bobbing unconsciously.
The hem of her bathrobe swayed gently as she walked, revealing ankles that gleamed like pearls in the light.
His mouth suddenly felt dry. His fingers unconsciously traced the edge of his Space Button, the metal pattern creating a fine, tingling itch in his palm.
The moment the sound of running water came from the bathroom, he felt the blood in his veins begin to burn.
He knew she was just taking a shower, yet he couldn’t stop himself from picturing her body, slick with warm water and shrouded in steam.
His fingertips trembled slightly as he undid the top button of his shirt, only to find fine beads of sweat already forming on his collarbone.
BANG. The glass box holding the cakes, which he had been gripping too tightly, made a sharp sound as it hit the table.
Dai Lixing snapped back to his senses, realizing he was somehow standing at the bathroom door.
Through the billowing steam, he could vaguely make out the graceful silhouette moving behind the frosted glass.
He scrambled back two steps, his lower back slamming into the cold metal edge of a table. He hissed in pain, but the jolt also cleared some of the fog from his mind.
"Damn it..."
He tugged at his collar, a suppressed curse escaping his throat.
In his reflection, his own eyes were an unnatural crimson, and the tips of his ears were so red they looked ready to bleed.
As he forced himself to turn and walk toward the bedroom, the tightness in his pants made his gait stiff, every step a battle against the desire screaming within him.
Ji Xiaosong, who was still in the shower, extended a wisp of her Divine Sense and observed Dai Lixing’s reaction, letting out a soft chuckle.
’Men. They really are creatures who say one thing and mean another.’
’His mouth might be quiet, but his body is brutally honest.’
When Ji Xiaosong came out of the bathroom wrapped in a bathrobe, the ends of her hair were still dripping.
She deliberately dried her long hair with a towel, the collar of her robe parting slightly with the movement, revealing a few glistening water droplets on her collarbone.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Dai Lixing staring blankly while clutching a glass, his knuckles so white it looked as if he might shatter it.
"Drinking tea this late?"
She tiptoed to grab a dessert from behind him, the hem of her robe brushing against his tense thigh.
The man shuddered violently, oblivious as hot tea splashed onto his hand.
"It’s hot!"
Ji Xiaosong reached for the back of his reddened hand, but he flung it away as if he’d been electrocuted.
Dai Lixing took half a step back, knocking over a chair.
His Adam’s apple bobbed up and down, his gaze fixed on a still-damp spot on her ankle.
"Why are you blushing?"
Ji Xiaosong tilted her head and leaned in, the damp tips of her hair brushing against his feverish earlobe.
The man suddenly grabbed her wrist and pinned it to the table, his breathing as rapid and ragged as a bellows.
But when her eyelashes fluttered, he let go as if burned and staggered back again, his lower back slamming hard against the kitchen counter.
"I... I’ll go get you a glass of water."
As Dai Lixing turned, he knocked over the sugar jar, spilling sugar all over the floor.
He squatted down to clean it up, but his hands were trembling. Sugar powder dusted the tips of his hair like a thin layer of frost.
Ji Xiaosong looked down at his tense back, then suddenly used the tip of her foot to lift his chin.
The instant their eyes met, Dai Lixing’s pupils contracted sharply.
The tie of her bathrobe had come undone at some point, and the lapel had slipped down, revealing a wide expanse of skin.
He lunged forward, grabbing the tablecloth and wrapping it around her shoulders. Amid the rustle of fabric came his suppressed gasp:
"Don’t... don’t test me like this."
Ji Xiaosong let him wrap her up like a burrito and laughed aloud as she watched him flee in disarray.
Her fingertips brushed over the wrist he had just touched, a burning heat still lingering there.
Outside, the night wind rustled through the grapevines, the soft sounds concealing unspoken, amorous thoughts.
