Chapter 513 283: Fiancé War

  • Next Chapter

The Wild Boar Knight let out a great roar and charged forward, only to come flying back with a low grunt, crashing through five or six pine trees as dust and debris filled the air.

Everyone: "…"

'Seriously… a one-hit takedown?'

The Law Enforcers felt a chill run down their spines. The knights of the Templar Order, however, were another story. They openly mocked the dust-covered Wild Boar Knight as he crawled out of the debris. "You couldn't even last one hit? How pathetic."

Panting heavily, the Wild Boar Knight retorted, "He's a Bronze Tier Dragon Knight. Why don't you try lasting one hit against him… Help me up. I think all my ribs are broken."

"Seriously? Isn't this Dragon Knight just some over-hyped story from the Inner Side's newspapers? Is he really that strong? You're not just saying that to save face, are you?" a curious Templar Knight asked.

Their knowledge of the Dragon Knight, Baron Constantin, was limited. They knew he was a young, Bronze Tier Dragon Knight who had escaped from major Law Enforcement Organizations multiple times. His most notorious acts were bombing King's Cross Station and assassinating the Lion Eye Knight Order Leader, Anthony. Beyond that, they knew nothing.

Of course, they also didn't know that the Dragon Knight had just killed Roy. To this moment, these elites of the Templar Order still assumed the blood on Constantin was from his fight with the surrounding Law Enforcers.

As for the charred bodies of the Griffin Knights on the ground, they had yet to receive an explanation from Elder Pence, so they simply thought they were burnt tree branches.

"If you want to find out, why don't you go up there and try for yourself?"

Lying on the ground, the Wild Boar Knight chugged a recovery Magic Potion. He felt his earlier assessment had been conservative. Inspecting his body with his Spiritual Vision, he guessed it wasn't just his ribs; the bones in his arms and legs were probably fractured too.

He was, after all, a Black Iron Tier Contract Knight, bonded to a Tusked Wild Boar—a beast renowned for its thick, tough hide.

In Ancient Times, the Tusked Wild Boar was a Magical Beast Race that fought alongside Giants. The largest Tusked King Pig could grow to over a hundred feet, almost the height of a small hill.

In modern Alchemy tests, an Alchemy Bullet powerful enough to kill a Black Iron Tier Demon Hunter could barely even scratch a Tusked King Pig. This was a testament to just how tough they were.

It was for this reason that the Wild Boar Knight had ranked among the best in the Templar Knight Trials. While he didn't underestimate the few Bronze Tier Knights, they still found it extremely difficult to deal with him.

This had fueled his arrogance. 'So what if this so-called Dragon Knight is bonded to a Pure-blood Ancient Dragon? At best, he's still just a Bronze. With my tough hide, I figured I could just stall for a bit and wear him down with my superior stamina.'

'Even if I couldn't wear him down, it wouldn't matter. After all, for a Black Iron Tier Contract Knight like me to hold my ground for so long against a Bronze Tier Dragon Knight's assault would have been an accomplishment in itself.'

'Too bad reality is so much crueler than fantasy. I still lost, and so utterly…'

The Wild Boar Knight clutched his collapsed chest, his gaze fixed on the man in fluttering black robes in the center of the clearing. Those enviable Golden Eyes still shone brightly, reminiscent of the fires of Hell on Chimera Mountain—blazing, eternal, and unquenchable.

The Celestial Horse Knight Commander looked at the Wild Boar Knight. "After this is over, you'll be doing extra training. A man who can't even hold his weapon has no right to call himself a proper Knight."

But the words were barely out of his mouth when, in the corner of his eye, he caught the Dragon Knight's figure suddenly blur into motion.

Seizing the moment of stunned silence, Constantin charged, launching a fierce attack on Elder Pence!

A Griffin Knight beside Elder Pence cried, "Careful!" and threw his body in front of Constantin's thrusting blade.

As Constantin pulled his sword free, the knight collapsed to his knees. The Dragon Knight bypassed him without a second glance, lunging once more for Elder Pence.

The Law Enforcers finally sprang into action. They swarmed forward, each using their own methods to try and stop the Dragon Knight.

But it was no use. Whether it was Promise, Authority, or the Wizards' Magic, nothing could withstand the incinerating Dragon Flame for more than an instant. Seeing the burning blade draw ever closer, Elder Pence gripped his staff tightly. A faint golden light bloomed in his pupils, like sunlight piercing the depths of a clear spring.

Just then, the sound of another sword being drawn rang out from the side, accompanied by the beat of wings.

The Knight Commander of the Celestial Horse Knight Order reacted instantly. His Celestial Horse's Wings flared, and he closed the distance at once, swinging his longsword to block Constantin's Blood Blade.

When the knights of the Templar Order saw this, they seemed to be fondly recalling their own trials in the Dracul Mountain Range, and called out, "Knight Commander, this is a Trial for you, too!"

The Celestial Horse Knight Commander didn't answer. He knew that if he were to open his mouth, the only sound that would come out would be a scream.

The moment their blades clashed, the Knight Commander felt as if he had swung his sword into a charging dragon. An immense, unstoppable force surged up the blade, making him feel as if his own hands no longer belonged to him.

A seismic tremor started at the tip of his sword and spread unstoppably through his entire body. He tried to use his Spiritual Power to suppress it, but it was completely useless.

"The Shaking Blade Technique of the Silver Demon Hunters!" Dewey Frank exclaimed in shock. "How does Baron Constantin know that move? Don't tell me Isabella violated the ban and taught this technique to an outsider?"

"'Shaking Blade Technique?'" The Celestial Horse Knight Commander heard Dewey's words, and his expression changed drastically.
