Wasteland: I Awakened A Plant System

Chapter 333: Vikram Was Involved?

Vikram ended the call and put away the communication panel. He glanced at the Tsunami Wave Orb in his hand before turning his gaze toward the four women.

"I’ve decided."

"I’m not going to use this orb."

The four women looked at him in confusion.

Vikram continued calmly, "The chance of awakening an ability is only fifty percent. Rather than gambling on myself, I’d rather give it to one of you."

"Whoever wants it can take it. I won’t interfere, you can decide among yourselves."

With that, Vikram placed the Tsunami Wave Orb on the table and leaned back on the sofa, showing no intention of getting involved in the discussion.

The four women exchanged glances.

Luna was the first to shake her head.

"You don’t have to look at me," she said indifferently. "I’ve already awakened. My current abilities suit me perfectly, so I don’t need another one."

Everyone nodded naturally. After all, they knew that Luna was currently the strongest person under Vikram, and the only awakened human among them.

Seeing Luna refuse, Anjali also raised her hand.

"I’m out too." She crossed her arms and looked at the orb with clear disinterest. "I don’t like water or tsunami-type abilities."

She then turned to Vikram with a mischievous smile. "But if this were a Shadow Orb... or maybe something with seduction abilities... I would’ve seriously considered it."

Divya couldn’t help but laugh. Sophia rolled her eyes. Even Vikram’s mouth twitched slightly.

"What are you looking at me for?" Anjali shrugged innocently. "If I can choose, why wouldn’t I pick something cooler?"

The atmosphere instantly became much more relaxed.

Soon, everyone’s gaze shifted toward Sophia.

Sophia remained silent for a moment before gently shaking her head.

"I’ll pass as well," she said with a faint smile. "My physique isn’t very good. If I suddenly gained such a powerful offensive ability, I probably wouldn’t even know how to use it properly. I’d rather wait for something more suitable for me."

She glanced at Divya beside her. "Besides, Divya spends much more time following Vikram outside. If she becomes stronger, she’ll be able to protect herself better and help him more."

Divya was slightly stunned. She hadn’t expected Sophia to willingly give up such a precious opportunity.

Now, only one person remained.

All eyes naturally turned to Divya.

Realizing she was the center of attention, Divya pointed at herself. "So... I’m the only candidate left?"

Anjali laughed and patted her shoulder. "Looks like even fate wants you to use it."

Luna gave a small nod. Sophia smiled gently. Vikram remained silent, offering no objection.

Looking at the Tsunami Wave Orb resting quietly on the table, Divya slowly reached out and picked it up.

It seemed the ownership of the Legendary Orb had been decided.

Seeing Divya pick up the Tsunami Wave Orb, a faint smile appeared on Vikram’s face. He leaned forward slightly on the sofa and looked at her with deep, meaningful eyes.

"Since you’re taking the Legendary Orb... I want a reward from you."

Divya’s cheeks instantly turned red. She lowered her gaze shyly, but after a brief moment, she gave a small, almost imperceptible nod.

That soft acceptance was all Vikram needed.

Even though he had spent the entire previous night with Lilith, an intense wave of desire surged through him again. He didn’t understand why his lust felt so heightened lately, but at this moment, he didn’t want to resist it.

He stood up and gently took Divya’s hand, pulling her closer. The two of them disappeared into the bedroom. Soft murmurs and the rustle of clothes soon filled the quiet space as Vikram embraced her with clear hunger. Divya’s shy gasps gradually turned into tender, affectionate sounds as she gave herself to him completely.

Some time later, when Vikram emerged from the room with a satisfied expression, his gaze naturally fell on the other three women.

Sophia, Anjali, and Luna were still sitting in the living area.

Without saying much, Vikram simply extended his hand toward Sophia first. She blushed deeply but stood up and walked to him without resistance. He led her into the bedroom as well, where their intimate moment unfolded with warmth and passion.

Next was Anjali. She wore her usual mischievous smile, though her cheeks were flushed. She approached him boldly, yet her body trembled slightly with anticipation as Vikram pulled her close. Their time together was filled with playful energy mixed with deep desire.

Finally, Luna.

When Vikram looked at her, she simply stood up and walked into his arms. Their connection was quieter but no less intense, filled with a unique sense of closeness and trust.

For the rest of the morning, the residence was filled with warmth, soft voices, and intimate moments as Vikram spent passionate time with each of them, one after another. The bond between him and the four women grew even deeper in the process.

By the time everything settled, Vikram lay on the large bed, surrounded by the warm bodies of the four women. Divya and Sophia nestled closer against his chest, their soft breathing steady and content. Anjali rested her head on his shoulder with a peaceful smile, while Luna quietly intertwined her fingers with his.

He gently stroked their hair and backs, placing soft kisses on their foreheads one by one. "Having all of you like this... feels perfect," he murmured tenderly.

Divya blushed and hugged him tighter. Sophia smiled warmly, pressing a gentle kiss to his collarbone. Anjali playfully nipped his shoulder before soothing it with a kiss. Even Luna, usually reserved, snuggled closer, her golden eyes filled with rare affection.

In this quiet morning moment, their bond felt deeper and stronger than ever. No words were needed. Just the warmth of their embrace and the silent promise of staying together.

---

Crimson Desire Shelter.

By the next day, the Crimson Desire Shelter had returned to its usual calm after the previous night’s chaos.

Lilith sat in her Director’s office, her face clouded with gloom. Just then, a team of shelter members knocked and entered, clearly there to deliver their report.

"Have you found out what exactly happened last night?" Lilith asked, her fingers tapping impatiently on the desk.

Despite her usual charming and smiling demeanor when dealing with guests, those who knew her understood that a Director in the wasteland was never someone to be taken lightly.

The subordinates who entered froze, hesitating to speak.

"Speak!" Lilith snapped, her polite mask completely gone. "Don’t tell me you couldn’t find even a single clue after an entire night?"

Yesterday’s explosion might not have been catastrophic for an ordinary shelter at most, they would have treated it as a random ambush. But for Crimson Desire Shelter, which relied heavily on visitors and survivors for its income, the incident was far more damaging. Not only had it disrupted operations, it had also severely harmed the shelter’s hard-earned reputation.

She never imagined that while she was spending an intimate, beautiful night in Vikram’s arms, someone would cause such chaos in her territory.

Because she had been occupied for just one night, she had already received multiple negative reviews and complaints from guests. Some even demanded compensation, claiming the explosion had left their "little brother" too scared to perform.

If the matter wasn’t handled properly and allowed to fade on its own, the damage to the shelter would only worsen.

"Boss, we really haven’t found any solid clues yet," one of the subordinates reported nervously. "The only suspicious things are that Snape suddenly rushed back to his shelter last night under the cover of darkness... and Big Boss Vikram went missing during the explosion."

He continued cautiously, "When the explosion occurred, Big Boss Vikram wasn’t in his room. Only the members who came with him remained behind."

The survivors referred to him as "Big Boss Vikram" simply because they didn’t know his true identity. Besides Lilith, almost no one in the shelter knew who he really was, so they followed her way of addressing him.

Lilith’s eyes narrowed sharply. "Are you saying... he caused the explosion?" Her voice was low and dangerous, laced with clear anger toward her subordinates.

The man lowered his head immediately. "Your subordinate isn’t certain, but... Big Boss Vikram does have a motive. And..."

"And what?" Lilith snapped.

"The explosion happened in the exact house you arranged for Snape and his group."

The moment she heard this, Lilith’s expression turned icy cold. She had spent the entire previous night in Vikram’s arms, sharing passionate and intimate moments. In her heart, she had already started seeing him as her man — her boyfriend.

Now her own people were indirectly accusing him. How could she not be furious?

"Idiots!" Lilith slammed her palm on the desk and stood up angrily. "You investigated all night and this is all you have? Get out and find real evidence! Don’t come back with baseless accusations against Vikram!"

The subordinates trembled and kept their heads lowered, too afraid to speak.

Just as Lilith was about to continue scolding them, a hurried knock came from outside the office door.

"Boss, Team Leader Evan from the Official Shelter requests an audience."

She raised an eyebrow, not expecting that the Official Shelter, which hadn’t made a move yesterday, was still here. She had thought they were just here for inspection.

"Quickly, bring Team Leader Evan in."

The subordinate understood, the office door opened, and Lilith stood up to welcome him.

"Team Leader Evan, please sit!"

The strength of Crimson Desire Shelter was indeed good, and she had many connections, so perhaps she wasn’t too afraid of the Official Shelter, but she wouldn’t lack the respect she should have.

After all, what was before her was only a regional Official Shelter. Who knew how many times the land area of the Wasteland World would shrink later?

The relationships among these upper-level forces were intricate, and the only consensus they reached was that no one wanted to provoke the Official Shelter forces for no reason.

Unexpectedly, only Evan came to see Lilith this time; it seemed he was not at all afraid of incidents like being ambushed.

"Team Leader Evan, I don’t have anything good to offer, only some tea. I hope Team Leader Evan won’t mind."

Lilith was about to take out some tea leaves that she was reluctant to drink herself to brew, but Evan quickly waved his hand.

"Director Lilith, no need to be polite, plain water is fine."

"Speaking of which, this time it is my Official Shelter that has a request, and I should have been the one to host Director Lilith."

Evan’s expression was serious, and he didn’t seem to be joking.

Lilith’s heart stirred upon hearing this, thinking that if the Official Shelter sought her help, it must be a very important matter.

Despite Evan’s politeness, Lilith didn’t just give him plain water. She still instructed her subordinate to brew a pot of tea and personally poured two-thirds of it for Evan before speaking, "Oh, Team Leader Evan, if there’s anything you’d like this humble woman to help with, please tell me. If I have a way, I will definitely not refuse."

It sounded like a solemn promise, but there was a precondition: she would only help if she had a way, which left her room to refuse.

Evan looked at the Crimson Desire Shelter members who were still in the office.

Lilith immediately understood and, after having them leave, Evan finally spoke, "..."

"What?"

"Two Legendary-level zombies?"

"Team Leader Evan, are you sure you’re not joking with me?"

Evan shook his head, a hint of helplessness on his face.

He came this time precisely because he wanted the powerful Crimson Desire Shelter to help solve this problem together.

Previously, their Shelter suffered heavy casualties and had to purchase medicine from a private Survivor, and it was for this reason.

If it weren’t for the fact that their regional Official Shelter couldn’t defeat these two monsters alone, and the Official Shelter headquarters was too far away to provide support, how could they possibly hand over such a great opportunity to gain a fortune...
