Chapter 859 - 860 – Grey – Part 8.

(The way they are doing things is both smart and stupid.) – thought Oron as he was running through the underground corridor at the extremely high speed.

(Grey monsters.)

(According to the dragon queen, her clan and the other members of the alliance were completely unaffected.)

(That means the mist and rain were only one of the conditions.) – thought Oron as a large number of golems suddenly appeared before him… But he took them down instantly while not slowing down at all.

(Only 2 dragon clans were affected beside the traitors.)

(Were the two dragon clans controlled without their knowledge and made to eat something weird, just like it was with Wumi clan?) – thought Oron as he blasted open a door.

"?!"

"Wait, he is already here?!" – said confused child of the dragon king.

"Shit! No mercy!" – said the second child the second child of the dragon king as both of them took on their real forms from the get go, starting the fight between them and Oron.

(Probably they couldn't produce whatever poison they made in large quantities, it took them LONG amount of time to produce just enough to corrupt two clans.) – thought Oron as he was dodging the barrages of the arcane magic and even counter attacking with his crossbow, dealing critical damage to the two dragons with each shot.

(Their main plan, maybe have some way of bypassing one of those conditions where the poison needed to be injected, which would make the rain work on any of the members of the dragon empire.) – thought Oron as he quickly switched up his weapons from crossbow to daggers and began slashing the dragons over and over, while using his poison skills to overwhelm the two dragons, making them completely helpless against Oron.

(Still, there are few unanswered questions.) – thought Oron as he decapitated one of the dragons, while the other one in panic started unleashing a nonstop blasts of magic.

(For example, the artifact and that daughter of the heavenly dragon.) – thought Oron as in the next moment he ended up decapitating the second dragon before they realized it, killing them and opening path for Oron once again.

(Were they used to create that mist and rain?)

(Or are they being used for something else?)

[Meanwhile: Tail]

*Cough* *Cough*

"YOU LITTLE TRASH!" – shouted the injured dragon as he unleashed a series of lasers at Tail who instantly dived into the shadows in order to dodge the attack.

"I CAN STILL SEE YOU!" – shouted the dragon as he contracted the lasers, unleashing a combined attack that ended up unleashing a massive explosion on impact.

"Tch!" – Tail was forced out of the shadows while getting blown away from the impact.

(This one is way stronger compare to the other dragons.) – thought Tail before then summoning his shadow monsters to his side, forcing the dragon to once again split up his lasers in order to attack several new foes all at once.

"!"

(Where is he!?) – thought the dragon as he instantly realized that Tail instantly disappeared after summoning his servants.

The dragon used his search ability and once again located Tail instantly.

(However! I can still take him on!) – thought Tail as in the exact moment the dragon's head turned towards Tail, he ended up falling for his trap as the man threw one of his throwing dagger daggers, which ended up piercing the eye of the dragon.

"[Shadow Butchering: Rampage – Detonate]." – the dagger was infused with his skill that went on the rampage the moment he turned it on, causing countess numbers of shadows to sprout out from the dagger, which ended up ripping the dragon's eye from inside out, completely destroying it...

"!?"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

"MY EYE! MY FUCKING EYE!" – shouted the dragon in agony.

"YOU BASTARD! I MURDER YOUR ASS!" – shouted the dragon as he straight up went berserk, firing his lasers at Tail nonstop.

Tail was forced to run around, dodging the attacks non stop while the dragon was putting pressure on Tail not allowing the assassin to make any action

However, because the dragon was only paying attention to Tail, he was not paying attention whatsoever to the other monsters… Which allowed Tail to quickly summon a monster while running.

"[Shadow Butchering: Mirror Hate]." – Tail fired off a shadow that traversed right towards the dragon who was still chasing after Tail.

But that was mistake, because when the shadows struck the dragon's shadow, something started emerging from it, which instantly caught the dragon off guard.

However, it wasn't an attack, but instead a summon.

A shadow copy of the dragon had emerged from his shadow, which ended up tackling the real dragon.

"?!"

"PISS OFF!" – shouted the dragon as he was forced to use his lasers to blast the shadow copy who was getting in his way.

But as the dragon was destroying his imposter, he ended up creating an opening for Tail who instantly rushed and got in front of the dragon's second eye.

The dragon only noticed Tail in the last second… Before then his eye was cut to shreds by his daggers.

"!?"

"AAAAAAAAA!"

"BASTARD! WHORE! FUCKING COMMON!" – shouted the dragon as both of his eyes were damage, causing him to scream even more in agony.

And because the dragon was now focused more on the pain, it had straight up forgotten about using its detection ability, allowing Tail to break free and start unleashing his combos of attacks.

The dragon did ended up activating his detection skill once again, allowing it to regain it sight once more… But at this point it was too late.

The dragon ended up being defeated in the end.

*Huff* *Huff*

(Okay… This was… Way tougher than I've thought?) – thought Tail as he was catching his breath after the fight.)

(I just fought two children like him few moments ago, and their combined strength was nowhere near THIS bastard level!)

(I think he was the 5th son?)

(I've let my guard down.)

(If I had realized that he was that strong, then I wouldn't had made that mistake on the very start.)

(Not only that, my stealth was completely useless against him.)

(I ended up pilling a lot of the damage instantly.)

(Still, I'm alive and I still have a large number of potions on me left.) – thought Tail as he opened up his inventory and checked his stock.

"…"

"I think I should use one time power up items."

"…"

(But what if I would need them?)

(What if I end up facing the dragon king on my own?)

(But again, how much time do we have left before they finish their plan?)

(…Should I ask LM to come and help me?)

"…"

"No."

"I need to keep pushing forward. No matter what."

Oron and Tail were keep exploring the hidden underground passages, trying to find the hidden secret of this place where the Kai'ku'dan clan was buried.

Meanwhile, on the outside, the war still raged on.

The hordes of the grey monsters were keep coming.

Even worse, the grey monsters that were born from the towns and villages started arriving one by one, joining the war, attacking the alliance's armies from different directions.

However, the 3 cities which were targeted by the alliance had been used against the traitors, causing the automatic cannons to target the grey monsters, while also calling forth the golems which started joining the hunt.

There was also the fact that the more alliance's soldiers die, the more undeads the necromancers from the Garog empire could make.

(Good. It is starting to look way better than it was before!) – thought LM who was using the monitoring system to observed the battle happening in 3 different locations.

(I've managed to activate the automatic systems and even took control over the golems!)

(It doesn't look like the battle will end anytime soon, but still, they should have easier time fighting and they may defeat these bastards' way faster!) – thought LM as in the next moment the alarm went off.

"!?"

"SHIT!" – shouted LM as he noticed that the grey monsters started targeting the city automatic defenses, destroying some of the guns and cannons.

But in the next moment, a gust of icy wind came and frozen the grey monsters who were attacking the automatic defenses.

"THEY ARE AIMING FOR THE CITY DEFENCES! IF WE DON'T PROTECT THEM, THEN WE WON'T HAVE ANYMORE COVER FIRE!" – shouted the queen of the Wo'won clan as she and her warriors were trying to prevent the city defensive system from being taken down.

*Exhale*

"Fuck me… That was close." – said stressed out LM.

"Thank god that they took them down before they ended up destroying the cannons."

(Still… This consol is weird.)

(I can pretty much control all 3 cities from here.)

(It could maybe do much more, however this place was destroyed in battle, so many of the functions must had been lost when some of the consols were destroyed.)

"…I don't know if that place was in charge of that bell though."

(Anyway, is there anything else here I can do?)

(It doesn't seem that this place has any control over underground, but still! Are there any other weapons I can use to help out the alliance?!) – thought LM as he was messing around with consol.
