Chapter 856 - 857 – Grey – Part 5.

"What is going on?!" – said the female voice.

"Hm? What is it?" – asked the male voice.

"The barrier around the castle! It has been breached!" – said the female voice while looking at the monitor that was shown the barrier's current destroyed spot.

"!?"

"But how?! There shouldn't be any enemies in the city! Nor they would had any ability to break through while there is still large number of these monsters inside!" – said the male voice.

"How am I suppose to know!? Just look at the monitor!" – said the female voice.

"Shit! I will inform the others." – said the male voice.

"Meanwhile activate the battle golems!"

[Meanwhile: Outside of the castle.]

"…I don't see any people." – said Tail as the trio of the players had breached the barrier and already passed the wall that surrounded the castle grounds.

"The pink rain nor mist are here." – said LM.

"It seems the barrier protected this place."

"…But… If this place is truly protected, where are the sol-"

"!"

"Stop!" – said Oron, causing the trio to stop in tracks.

"What is it?!" – asked alarmed Tail while Oron was using his demonic eye.

"…Traces of battle… And corpse." – said Oron as with his demonic eye he could see perfect what was happening at the main gate leading to the castle.

"!"

"These are the castle guards! They all are dead!"

"?!"

"Wait, what?" – said Tail.

"But… It couldn't be grey monsters. The mist and the rain isn't here because of the rain." – said Oron.

"And if they were indeed turned, they wouldn't be looking normal anymore even as corpses."

"…Which now begs a question, what killed them?"

"!"

"SOMETHING IS COMING!" – shouted Oron as the main gates of the castle opened up, before moments later a large number of soldiers began walking out from it.

"…These aren't clan members." – said Oron.

"These are golems!" – said Oron as the army of soldiers that started walking out of the castle were golems made with both magic and technology.

"Then I guess we have the culprits." – said LM as he took out his bow while Tail took out his daggers.

"Do we right or try to go past them?" – asked Tail.

"No." – replied Oron.

"The enemy is aim is still the same."

"Stalling." – said Oron as he took out yet another special bolt and loaded into his crossbow.

"Tail, LM. Work together, I will go on my own." – said Oron as he aimed with his crossbow and started using skills.

"Break inside through different means and find the way to stop them!" – said Oron as he fired off his crossbow, unleashing a devasting shot that upon making contact with golem soldiers had straight pierced and ripped apart any golems in its way, destroying a large number of golems with just pierce, before then bolt exploded, brining even more destruction.

At the same time when the bolt was fired, the trio of the players was instantly on the move.

With the golems getting destroyed great numbers, the trio of the players didn't really had anything blocking them from approaching the castle.

Upon arriving, they instantly leaped high into the air and tried breaking through the windows, however they were reinforced.

But with single skill usage from all of them, they instantly destroyed the reinforced windows and entered the castle.

(Shit! They are inside!) – thought the female voice owner as she tried using the console to try and locate the intruders.

"!?"

"The hell?!" – but she couldn't, because locate the trio.

(Shit! What do I do?!)

(Should I increase the detection power? But if I were to do that, the defensive barriers inside of the castle will weaken!)

(No! Play game cat and mouse with them that way won't work!)

(I know why are they here for!)

(They will have no choice but to break through! And as soon as they do, I will know their exact location!)

"…"

(The corridor is locked off.) – thought Oron as he inspected the metallic wall blocking his path which was also enchanted with magic.

(That one is also the same.) – thought Oron as he picked behind the corner and noticed that the other corridor was also the same.

"[Demonic Eye Of Truth: Energy]." – Oron used his demonic eye to inspect the surge of the energy,

"…"

"There." – said Oron as he burst into one of the rooms and aimed with his crossbow at the floor.

The bolt pierced right through the floor and even reinforced plates, before then arriving at protected device, striking it and blowing it up.

"!?"

"The hell?!" – said the female voice as on the monitor, she saw that she had lost connection to the several doors all at once as well as surveillance.

"Shit! What happened?!" – said confused female voice owner, while Oron walked out of the room and saw that the metallic blockage was still there… But it was no longer protected by any magic, allowing the demonic elf to just destroy the wall with complete ease.

"Oron here." – said Oron to his communication device while once again running through the halls while not still not being detected at all by the enemy who didn't even realized that the blockade was destroyed.

"The enemy seems to be using some kind of power unit or something like that is in charge of suppling the blockage with magic."

"If you destroy it, it will cause the blockage to lose power."

(SHIT! SHIT! SHIT! WHERE ARE THEY!?) – thought the female voice owner as she was using her golems to search the castle.

(Did they destroyed the control device!? But how!? It was destroyed as soon as they entered?!)

(No. Calm down.)

(The enemy avoided the golems and burst into the castle as soon as possible.)

(That means-)

[ALARM]

"!?"

"OH COMMON!" – shouted the female voice owner as Tail and LM had destroyed the second control device, causing the blockage in their regions to depower, allowing the duo to break through their blockage with ease.

(Fuck! This isn't good!)

(Wait! These devices have heavily protection on them! They shouldn't have ability to destroy them so quickly even if they find them!)

(SO HOW?!)

Oron and the duo ended up encountering some of the golems… But they didn't stood chance as they were quickly eliminated.

However-

"!" – there was a second monitor which was monitoring the status of the golems, and the moment they were destroyed, the female voice owner noticed the change.

(Shit!) – the woman order her golems to the locations where the golem soldiers had disappeared… But now matter how many she had sent; she couldn't stop the players.

Not only that, but in the next moment, two more two more control devices were found out and destroyed, causing her vision to once again be cut off from the portion of castle map.

"FUCK!" – shouted the owner of the female voice.

"What is going on now?!" – asked the male voice owner as he returned.

"What the fuck took you so long?!" – shouted the pissed off woman.

"!" – the man noticed the screen on the map.

"What is situation?" – asked the man.

"They are destroying the control devices and destroying the golems at the rapid rate!" – said the woman.

"At the rate things are going, it will be not long until they get here!"

"!?"

"What?!" – said the man as the monitor observing the golems started beeping once again, showing as yet again a number of golems started decreasing at the alarming rate right in front of the man and the woman.

"…"

"Huh… This is way easier than I've thought." – said LM as the duo stood on top of large number of destroyed golems.

"Yeah… They are annoying, but we are managing." – said Tail.

"Anyway, quickly drink energy potion and move once again." – said Tail as he and LM both took out potions that allowed them to recover some of their MP and SP.

"…"

(Honestly, I thought this place would be harder than that creepy ass mist dungeon.) – thought LM.

(But… We are pretty much destroying the whole thing?)

(Hell, I know I'm not one of the strongest players in our guild or even those who come close… But still, I wreck them all?) – thought Litle Maniac as he stared at the destroyed golems.

(…Wow… We really become scary, didn't we?)

(Before it was these 8 bastards.)

(But now? Even members like me are this broken now?)

(There is also our whole empire… I can tell that they are stronger.)

(So if that is the case, why don't we just conquer the whole dragon empire ourselves?)

"Y-yes!" – said LM as the duo once again started pushing forward… While LM was still somewhat bothered by the thought he had in the head.

"Hey, hey, hey… The hell is this?" – asked the man who was watching on the two monitors as the number of golems were still decreasing and another control device was destroyed.

"These golems were far stronger then the castle knights, which were one of our strongest fighters."

"So how the hell are they getting cut down so quickly?!"

"…"

"We don't have choice anymore, do we?" – asked the woman.

"…Yeah… We don't." – replied the man.

"I guess we have to confront them head on."
