Chapter 855 - 856 – Grey – Part 4.

"ALL SOLDIERS! GET READY FOR COMBAT!" – shouted the dragon king of the Pyrgos clan.

The pink mist and pink rain still restricted the vision of all 3 armies, making them to see anything from far away.

But the enemies? They had no problem navigating in such condition.

If anything, they knew exactly where their enemies were.

And before long, through the mist and rain, they appeared, attacking with weapons, their bodies or using grey magic, attacking the three barriers that protected the armies.

"!"

"THEY ARE HERE! COUNTER ATTACK!" – shouted the dragon king of the Pyrgos clan as the soldiers and mages unleashed their attacks that passed through the barrier wall and hit directly the monsters, knocking some of them away… But in the next moment, new grey monsters replaced them.

(Oh, what the hell?) – thought Rampage as she was with the dragon king of Pyrgos clan.

"Can we deploy them?" – asked Rampage.

"YEAH! PLEASE DO!" – replied the dragon king of the Pyrgos clan.

"Well then." – said Rampage.

"DEPLY UNDEADS! NOW!" – shouted the Rampage as several necromancers and liches started their summoning, calling forth undeads outside of the barrier that began attacking the grey monsters.

The other two main armies did the same, using the necromancers and liches lend by Garog empire to summon undeads.

(Undeads are expendable and they will allow us to obtain some information about the enemy.) – thought the queen of the Wo'won clan.

(Still… What the hell are with these creatures?)

(Those grey monsters, they are fighting like total animals… No. Even less.)

(They don't any sense danger!)

(They are straight up suicidal soldiers!)

"DON'T SHOW MERCY! THESE THINGS ARE NO LONGER PEOPLE!" – shouted queen of Wo'won clan.

"THEY ARE MONSTERS THAT STOLE THEIR LIVES! AND IF WE DON'T STOP THE TRAITORS WE MAY END UP THE SAME WAY AS THEM!"

"SO KILL THEM ALL!" – shouted the dragon queen of the Wo'won clan, as she and each of the dragon rulers took on their true forms and started unleashing their full might at the grey creatures.

The battle raged on outside of the cities.

However, inside of the Kai city, there was still 3 living beings that managed to avoid the grey monsters.

"…"

(Seriously… How many of them are there?) – thought Oron as he was observing the grey monsters while using his stealth skill.

(It is straight up hordes of them!)

(They didn't evacuated the city because they wanted as many people here as possible in order to turn them all into monsters?)

(…But still, what are these grey monsters in the first place?) – thought Oron as he was using his demonic eye on his forehead to scan the monsters.

(Holy and demonic attributes.)

(Combination?)

(Artifact of the holy god.)

(The fallen daughter of the holy god who became a fallen angel, a demonic being.)

(We had thought he would use that artifact to use some kind of demonic corruption.)

(But this?)

(This ain't it!)

(Not only that, but how in the hell they created these things?)

(Demonic power and holy power normally clash with each other.)

(And yet… They are here.)

"Oron! LM!" – said Tail through the communication device.

"What is it, Tail?" – asked Oron.

"The gate leading to the second circle is opened up!" – replied Tail.

"What?!" – asked surprised LM.

"The gate is opened up, but these grey monsters are keep pouring out of them nonstop." – said Tail.

"…"

"LM. Check the nearest gate where you are right now, I will do the same." – said Oron.

"Understood." – replied LM as he and Tail quickly found the nearest gate leading to the second circle.

"They are open up here as well!" – said Tail.

"Same here. And the monsters are also pouring out of it." – said Oron.

"I think I know what is going on."

"They are sending all of the monsters out of the city to confront the army outside."

"Probably all 3 armies are having the exact situation happening to them."

"…But somebody must had opened up these gates, the same with the ones leading to outside." – said Tail.

"A remote control?"

"Probably, but we don't know how does it work." – said LM.

"Can you opened up all 3 cities gates from a single location? Or do you have to do it in each location, like there are 1 operation in each city?"

"I don't think we can easily find about this… Still, this gives us chance." – said Oron.

"If we were to try and break in, the defensive system would get us caught and expose us to the grey monsters."

"However, if we use the open gates, we won't get exposed."

"As soon as the opening show itself, use the gate to get inside of the second circle."

"If the gate leading to the finally circle are like this, then we have a chance, Understand?"

"Understood." – replied both LM and Tail.

The trio of the players moved closer to each of the gates that were closes to them and waited for the right moment.

"!" – and as soon as the number of the grey monster thinned out for a single moment, they made their move, quickly slipping and getting into the middle circle of the city.

"Forward." – said Oron as the trio of the players moved through the middle circle of the city while avoiding the grey monsters that still somewhat infested the place.

"!"

"I found it!" – said Tail.

"The gate is opened here as well!" – said Tail as the trio of the players managed to each find the opened-up gate that led to the inner circle of the city.

"I don't see any defenses near the gate." – said LM.

"Then once again we break in." – said Oron.

"But be careful."

"There could be something waiting for us inside."

"Go." – said Oron as the trio of the players once again waited for the opportunity, before then managing to slip in and entering the inner circle of the city where the royal castle was located.

"!?"

"Hey! What is this?!" – said LM as the trio of the players soon found out something.

A barrier that was surrounding the entire royal castle.

"Barrier… Huh?" – said Tail.

"That means that the culprits are definitely there, right?" – said LM.

"Probably… Still, the number of the grey monsters here are extremely thin, I think most of them already managed to move to the middle circle." – replied Tail.

"But again, we should avoid combat no matter what."

"If the enemy finds out we are here, they may end up calling back their armies and keeping us in tracks."

"…"

"Still, the problem is the barrier." – said Oron while using his demonic eye.

"I don't see anything like weak point we can attack."

"By the looks of things we will have to brute force our way in."

"But what about grey monsters?" – asked Tail.

"…We will have to wait until all of them are gone." – replied Oron.

"And I can use these bolts to create opening for us to go through the barrier."

"Gather up at my location."

The grey monsters poured out non stop from the three cities, attacking the armies of the alliance.

The dragons of the empire were fighting bravely and they were holding their ground.

However, the protective barriers that protected the armies were taking the damage nonstop.

The grey monsters didn't cared one bit about their safety.

They were keep throwing themselves at the barrier over and over.

No matter how much damage they would become.

No matter how many of them died.

They just non stop continued their suicidal charge.

And then finally, the barriers that protected the three armies broke apart, allowing the purple mist to appear amongst the soldiers while grey monsters poured in.

"STAND YOUR GROUND AND FIGHT!" – shouted the dragon queen of the Muwi clan.

"FOR THE EMPIRE!"

A brutal clash began between the empire and the corrupted beings.

However, while that was happening, in the very inner circle of the Kai city, all of the grey monsters had already left.

"…Okay. They moved noticeable distance from the gate!" – said Tail as he was observing the gate to the middle circle.

"I'm coming back."

"Good, then hurry back. I'm about to break through." – said Oron as he took out a massive crossbow bolt for his big crossbow.

However, his bolt looked odd per say.

It appeared to be some kind of rocket.

([Buster Bolt].) – thought Oron as he loaded the massive bold.

(A bolt that focuses on pure destructive and piercing power.)

(No matter if it physical or magical type defense, I can pierce anything with it.)

(I only have 10 of these bolts on me, but still, it is more than enough.) – thought Oron as few moments later, Tail appeared where Oron and LM were waiting for him.

"He is here." – said LM.

"Good." – said Oron as he aimed his crossbow at the barrier.

"Then here I go!" – said Oron as he started applying buffs to himself and his crossbow.

"[Crossbow Art: Oblivions Snipe]!" – Oron pulled the trigger and unleashed his crossbow, firing of a shot with so much power that when it struck the barrier, it instantly shattered parts of it, before heading straight towards the castle and smashing into it, unleashing a powerful explosion in the process.

"MOVE! NOW!"
