Chapter 854 - 855 – Grey – Part 3.

"W-what is going on?!" – said the confused merchant as in the next moment one of the grey monsters leaped at him and straight up tore him apart with his badly pencil drawn arms, killing the merchant right on the spot.

(Hey, hey, hey… The hell is this?!) – thought Tail as he was using stealth and observing the massacre happening right in front of his eyes, as every single one of the members of the Kai'ku'dan clan who were turned into monsters were massacre anybody who were not turned into monsters.

"H-honey! Children! Please! It is me! Your-" – the one large and three small grey monsters murdered the elven woman who tried communicating with grey monsters.

"Hey, are you seeing what I'm seeing?" – asked Tail's voice that came from the small communication device that was attached to the Tail's coat collar.

"Yeah… Every had been turned into monsters and they are straight up on the rampage!"

"I even see the guards, soldiers, heck! Even the knights being turned into monsters! The guys that also looked like wealthy merchants and nobles who were in the place I was watching over also turned into monsters!"

"But we are unaffected, aren't we?" – said Oron to the communication device as he was standing on top of one of the building.

"This weird pink rain and pink mist is only affecting the clan members… But…."

"Is it only affecting the blood tied clan members? Or it affect the entire dragon empire?"

The pink rain and pink mist covered the entire territory of the Kai'ku'dan clan had affected every single member of the clan.

Be it in the city, town or a farm.

Whenever they appeared the results would always be the same.

Death and rebirth into monsters.

That wasn't only the horror for the clan members who somehow avoided getting turned into the monsters by locking themselves in time, watching as their friends and families were turned into the monsters.

But also, the people who were not blood tied to the clan.

Every single member.

Be it a lizardman or even dragon, they all were turned into grey monsters that went on the rampage, hunting all non-blood bound members.

With even husbands and wives murdering their own bellowed.

(When this rain is going on end?) – thought alarmed queen of the Wo'won clan as the massive ice barrier was protecting her entire army from being affected by the pink rain and pink mist.

(I would had never expected something like that!)

(When Orion said that nothing was wrong with the city, I found it doubtful at first… But now?)

(AS IF!)

(THAT BASTARD INSTEAD OF CALLING HIS PEOPLE TO PICK UP ARMS HAD INSTEAD TURNED THEM INTO MONSTERS?!)

(WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS MAD MAN?!)

(Not only that, but this pink stuff… I sense it!)

"Demonic and holy energies?" – said the queen to herself.

(Seriously! What is going on here?! What are these bastards planning?!)

(…Not only that… Is it even safe for us to touch this stuff?)

(The report said that not everybody got turned into monsters, that some people who were not related to the victim clans were completely unaffected by the rain and mist… Not blood related by any chance?)

(If that is the case… Does that mean that there was some kind of condition?)

"Korina." – said the dragon queen.

"Yes, your majesty?" – replied still nervous daughter/general.

"…Pick one of the lowest soldiers that belongs to our clan and throw them outside." – said the dragon queen.

"!?"

"But-"

"Do it." – said the queen, not even wanting to argue with her own daughter.

"…"

"Yes, your majesty." – replied the general who instantly picked one of the troops.

"NO! PLEASE NO! I DON'T WANT TO GET TURNED INTO THE MONSTER!" – shouted the soldier who was trashing around while being dragged by the two dragonewt knights.

"PLEASE! STOP IT! I BEG YOU!" – shouted the soldier as the four mages were near the surface of the barrier.

Two mages opened up the barrier, while two others were using wind magic to keep the pink mist away, allowing the two knights to safely throw the soldiers outside, before the two mages that were in charge of the barrier closed up the entrance.

"!?"

"WAIT! PLEASE! LET ME BACK IN!"- shouted the soldier as he was banging on the wall with his fists, even taking out his sword and swinging it at the barrier in order to get back in while the army inside just watched nervously at the soldier, waiting for him to possible turn into the monster.

"…"

(Still nothing?) – thought the queen as she watched her pocket watch.

(According to the reports from the dead agents, it seems the process of the death and transformation process were noticeable quick.)

(And we pretty quickly heard some kind of screeching noise.) – thought the dragon queen as she moved to the part of the barrier where the soldier was desperately still trying to get in.

"If you answer me these questions I will let you back into the barrier." – said the dragon queen.

"!?"

"Y-you mean it!?" - asked the panicking soldier

"I swear on my name." – replied the dragon queen.

"First question."

"Is your head in some kind of abnormal large amount of pain?"

"N-no." – replied the soldier.

"Then are you having problem with breathing or anything like that?" – asked the queen.

"No…" – replied the soldier.

"Then do you feel anything weird? Like burst of strength or maybe weakening?" – asked the dragon queen.

"N-no! I don't! Please! Let me in already!" – said the soldier.

"…"

"Hey. Open it up." – said the dragon queen.

"And everybody keep your distance!" – said the dragon queen as all of the soldiers moved away from the barrier, while the mages that handles the wind magic and barrier formation created a safe opening for the soldier to go right back in.

"Y-YES!" – said the relived soldier as he instantly entered the barrier which closed up the moment he ran past it.

But after he entered it, the ice magic in form of the chains appeared out of nowhere and completely bound the soldier in place.

"!?"

"Y-your majesty?!" – said the panicking soldier.

"Shut it up. I'm going to help you now." – said the dragon queen as she gathered up a pure ice in her palm, which moments later create a something like glowing diamond that floated above her palm.

"Here. This crystal will help you." – said the dragon queen as she made the crystal fly towards the bound soldier, which instantly started absorbing the traces of the pink energy that was attached on the surface of the warrior's body.

"…"

(There is no demoing or holy energy inside of him.) – thought the dragon queen as she was using her [Dragon Eyes] to check the traces of energies in the soldier, while using the purifying crystal to only remove the energy that was attached to the surface of the body that belonged to the soldier.

*Snap*

Queen released her ice that bound the soldier.

"THE PINK MIST DOESN'T AFFECT US! I'VE CHECKED THIS ON THIS SOLDIER JUST NOW AND FOUND NO TRACES OF CORRUPTION ON HIM!"

"YOU ALL HEAR ME?! THE MIST NOR THE RAIN IS AFFECTING US!" – shouted the dragon queen as her announcement somewhat relived the soldiers.

"Korina! Inform the other clans this instant! Tell them that the mist doesn't affect our troops!" – said the dragon queen to her daughter.

"Yes, your majesty!" – said the dragon general as she instantly launched into the sky in order to get to the communication device as soon as possible.

(Wait.) – thought the dragon queen.

(Why isn't it affecting us?)

(The theory just now had proved that the rain is only the trigger!)

(That means something must had already been in… In the victims….)

(But if that is the case-)

"?!" – the communication device that was on the queen which was lent by Oron had activated.

The dragon queen instantly picked up the communication device and activated it.

"ENEMIES ARE COMING YOUR WAY!" – shouted Oron as soon as the device activated.

"ALL OF THE MEMEBERS OF THE KAI'KU'DAN CLAN HAD BEEN TURNED INTO THESE MONSTERS THAT YOU TOLD ME ABOUT!"

"AND THEY ARE NOW CLIMBING UP THE WALLS WHILE SOME ARE FLYING UP!"

"AND…Wait…."

"!?"

"What is?!" – asked the extremely alarmed queen.

"T-the gates! Somebody is opening up the gates!" – said Oron.

"…Oh no." – said the dragon queen as in all 3 cities, the grey monsters were slowly flying upwards, or climbing up in savagely on the surface of the wall….

And the same time, somebody had opened up every single gate in the city.

"PREPARE FOR BATTLE! ALL OF YOU!" – shouted the dragon queen.

"THE ENEMY IS COMING AT US!"

"…"

"Are you sure about this?" – asked the man in fancy suit.

"I'm." – replied the woman in fancy dress.

"All we have to do is to delay them."

"It doesn't matter if these monsters gets wiped or if all 3 cities get wiped out."

"You know our orders."

"Stall them as long as possible, for our plan to succeed."
