Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!
Chapter 363 -: 362 She knows everything.
Chapter 363: Chapter: 362 She knows everything.
Julius’s eyes widened, and his heart began beating like a drum in the middle of a battlefield. His face slowly turned pale as he stared at Destiny, unable to believe what he had just heard.
"Y-you knew?" he stuttered, rising to his feet as his legs trembled beneath him.
Fear, shock, and a faint hint of despair appeared in his eyes as he instinctively took a step backward.
His mind was scrambling to make sense of what had happened. How could this be possible? He was inside a vision of the past, a scene that had already happened countless years ago.
As far as Julius understood it, his consciousness was merely observing an event that had already occurred, much like watching an illusion created from the past.
So how could Destiny perceive him? How could she actually look through the vision and recognize his existence when he wasn’t even supposed to be part of this moment?
Was this what she had meant when she casually claimed herself to be omnipotent during the conversation the other day?
And now what? Would she erase his soul for witnessing something he shouldn’t have seen? The thought sent another chill through his body.
Julius had already understood that Destiny was powerful, but there was a difference between knowing someone was powerful and standing before an existence who might be capable of killing him without even lifting a finger.
If she truly possessed the authority she claimed to have, then all the abilities Julius had painstakingly cultivated throughout his life were meaningless in comparison.
He couldn’t fight her, he couldn’t escape from this vision, and he wasn’t even certain that his physical body was still alive somewhere in the Nightmare Forest.
If Destiny decided that he had seen too much, there was probably nothing he could do about it.
"Haaa..." Julius finally released a long breath, forcing himself to calm down. His shoulders slowly relaxed, and although his legs were still slightly shaky, the trembling in his eyes gradually disappeared.
There was no point panicking. He was already trapped here and didn’t know how to leave, while Destiny was standing right in front of him with power that he couldn’t even begin to measure.
If she wanted to kill him, running wouldn’t accomplish anything, and if she didn’t, panicking would only make him look more pathetic.
Julius took another breath before raising his eyes toward her, trying to maintain whatever dignity he had left. Whatever happened next, he could only face it.
Contrary to his expectations, however, Destiny simply chuckled.
"Relax. I’m not going to eat you."
Julius blinked.
Destiny took a step toward him, her expression completely relaxed as though she hadn’t just shattered everything he understood about visions and reality. She lifted one hand and pointed toward her red eye, which began to shine faintly.
"Did you forget that I have the Rose Petal Eyes? I can observe anything with this eye."
Julius stared at her in silence.
"Rosalina has already awakened the second ability, hasn’t she?" Destiny continued, seemingly unconcerned by his stunned expression.
"She can turn her imagination into reality, although doing so is quite troublesome for her because of her limited mana. Come to think of it, you met my granddaughter Miasma too, didn’t you? She can turn her imagination into reality much more freely than Rosalina, although she hasn’t awakened the third ability either. In fact, no one throughout history has managed to awaken the third ability."
Julius was speechless.
She knew everything.
Not only did she know about Rosalina’s abilities, she even knew about his meeting with Miasma. Julius had been careful about that encounter, yet Destiny spoke about it as casually as someone discussing something she had personally witnessed.
He couldn’t even fathom what kind of power could allow someone to observe events happening across worlds and through different points in time.
Destiny walked toward him until she was standing directly in front of him. Then, without any concern for the tension that had taken over Julius’s body, she simply sat down on the courtyard beside him.
She looked at him for a moment before blinking innocently, and Julius suddenly felt an invisible force grab his body. His knees bent on their own, and before he could react, he found himself sitting beside her.
He stared at his own body in disbelief.
"The third ability, as I explained that day, allows me to go beyond reality," Destiny said casually. "That’s why I can see you even though you’re perceiving a vision, and because I can go beyond the boundaries of reality, I can also interact with you while you’re inside it. Pretty neat, right?"
She giggled before reaching over and gently patting his back.
Julius didn’t know whether he should be terrified or impressed.
"As for the All-Seeing Eyes, you’ve already awakened the second ability yourself. Not bad." Destiny’s voice remained soft and kind, and there wasn’t even the slightest trace of hostility in her expression. "I expected that much from you."
Julius remained silent, listening carefully.
"But neither you nor Rosalina can awaken the third ability."
"What?"
Julius blurted the word out before he could stop himself.
He turned toward Destiny, confusion replacing some of the fear in his expression. He had never felt anything resembling a third awakening within his All-Seeing Eyes, but he had always assumed that it was simply because he hadn’t reached the necessary stage yet.
There were even records throughout history describing people who had supposedly awakened the third ability.
According to those records, the third awakening allowed an individual to observe the past while gaining a much greater mastery over the future.
Some ancient accounts even claimed that those who reached that level could manipulate future events to an extent that ordinary users of the All-Seeing Eyes couldn’t comprehend.
Yet Destiny was now telling him that no one had ever awakened it.
Julius hesitated before finally asking, "But why? There are people in history who awakened it and it is known that the third ability has something to do with the past."
Destiny rubbed her chin thoughtfully.
"Well, it’s just a theory future generations came up with after they repeatedly failed to awaken the third ability," she explained. "The theory isn’t completely wrong, but it isn’t completely right either. The third ability can certainly allow you to observe the past and gain greater authority over the future, but that’s only a small part of what it actually does."
She smiled at him before gently running her fingers through his golden hair.
"It gives you the ability to choose the future."
Julius froze.
"Right now, you can observe a single future and then use your actions in the present to alter what you’ve seen. You can even transfer certain attacks from the present into the future if you’ve developed your abilities enough. But the third ability is fundamentally different. Once you awaken it, you won’t simply be observing a future and trying to manipulate it anymore. You’ll be able to observe countless possible futures and choose the one you want through your actions."
Destiny’s fingers continued to move gently through his hair as she spoke, her explanation carrying the same calm tone someone might use when teaching a child something simple.
"You could call it an ultimate choice of future. Instead of asking, ’What will happen if I do this?’ you will be able to look at countless paths and decide which future you wish to walk toward. Every choice creates another possibility, and the third ability allows you to see those possibilities and select the path that leads to the future you desire."
Julius didn’t respond.
He simply stared at her.
His mind was struggling to process the implications. His current ability already felt extraordinary. Being able to see an hour into the future had saved his life countless times, allowing him to react to attacks before they happened and occasionally alter events by changing his own actions.
Yet Destiny was describing something that made his current ability sound like a child’s toy. Countless futures, countless possibilities, and the authority to choose among them.
If what she was saying was true, then the third ability wasn’t simply an evolution of future sight. It fundamentally changed the relationship between the user and fate itself.
After a long silence, Julius finally gathered enough courage to ask the question that had been troubling him.
"Then... how do I awaken the third ability? And what about Rosalina?"
Destiny smiled.
"Actually, it’s very simple."
Julius raised an eyebrow.
"I’ve already prepared it for you."
His expression changed.
"Prepared... what?"
"You are at the Nightmare Forest right now, aren’t you?"
Julius frowned. "Yeah, but I’m not even sure if I’m alive."
A trace of resentment entered his voice as he continued, "Your descendants made my life hell. Those guys beat the crap out of me just because I wanted to steal their ancestor’s inheritance. I nearly died because of them."
Destiny stared at him for a moment before suddenly bursting into laughter.
"Ahaha! My apologies. It seems my son didn’t teach them very well."
Her laughter gradually faded, and she looked at Julius with an apologetic smile. Her expression remained gentle, almost motherly.
"But don’t worry. Going forward, they will become your greatest allies."
"Allies?"
Julius scoffed.
"A muscle-headed woman wanted to add me to her harem, and those guys practically hate humans. Couldn’t you have at least instructed your son to teach them to coexist with humans?"
Destiny’s smile twitched slightly, as though she wasn’t entirely sure whether she should laugh at his complaints or defend her descendants.
Julius sighed before another thought suddenly occurred to him.
"Oh, and what about your daughter?"
Destiny tilted her head.
"I heard that the Zlycons’ habit of giving birth to two children originated from you, but I haven’t heard anything about your daughter. I’m sorry if this hurts you, but... is she dead? There isn’t much historical evidence about her."
For the first time since they had begun speaking, Destiny became quiet.
"Um?"
She rubbed her chin and looked toward the sky as though genuinely considering how she should answer. Then, after a few seconds, the mysterious smile returned to her face.
"That’s a secret."
She winked.
Julius’s eyebrow twitched.
Of course it was. He should have expected nothing less from a goddess who casually claimed to know everything.
"But now," Destiny continued, turning her attention back toward him, "let’s focus on the important part. Believe it or not, my descendants really will become your greatest allies."
Julius looked at her suspiciously.
"I’ll give you the memories, so don’t worry."
