Chapter 364: Chapter: 363 Memories.

"Memories?" Julius asked, his brows furrowing slightly.

"Yeah, well, not anything regarding some backstory you’re expecting. It’s just the memories of how you can awaken the third ability."

"Really?" Julius’s eyes widened.

"Really."

Destiny chuckled as she slowly patted his hair, seemingly amused by how easily he had taken the bait. There was something strangely comforting about the way she treated him, especially considering the sheer difference between their existences.

A moment ago, Julius had been terrified that she might erase his soul simply because he had witnessed something he shouldn’t have, yet now she was casually sitting beside him and treating him almost like a younger family member.

He still couldn’t completely lower his guard around her, but at this point, he had begun to understand that Destiny’s personality was simply difficult to predict.

Destiny continued patting his hair for a few more seconds before glancing toward the sky.

"And it seems it’s been about a month, so it’s about time you go..."

Julius’s expression changed slightly. He hadn’t realized how much time had passed inside the vision. To him, everything felt much shorter, but he could already sense something tugging at his consciousness from beyond the vision, as though an invisible force was gradually pulling him back toward his physical body.

Destiny suddenly turned her gaze toward him.

"But before you go, would you like me to tell you something?"

"What?"

Destiny closed her eyes as if trying to recall something from a distant memory. After a moment, she opened them again, and a faint smile appeared on her lips.

"How about I tell you that, from here, many thousands of kilometers away, there is a planet called Earth?"

Julius’s expression froze for a moment.

"Um... you know it, don’t you?"

Julius narrowed his eyes. Should he be shocked? A part of him wanted to be. Under normal circumstances, hearing someone casually mention Earth in a world that was supposed to exist inside a book would have been enough to make his entire understanding of reality collapse.

But somehow, he couldn’t bring himself to react that strongly anymore.

This woman knew everything.

She knew things that had happened countless years ago, things that were happening in the present, and perhaps even things that had yet to happen.

She could perceive him while he was inside a vision of the past, interact with him despite existing outside the normal boundaries of reality, and casually reveal information about people and events she had no ordinary means of knowing.

After everything he had witnessed during their conversation, hearing her mention Earth was almost becoming difficult to classify as surprising.

However, one thought still managed to unsettle him.

Earth...didn’t this world exist only within a book?

Julius’s expression became complicated as his mind began turning over the possibilities. If Earth existed in the same universe as this world, then what exactly was the relationship between the two?

Was the world he had read about actually real? Had the book merely been some distorted representation of another world? Or was there something far more complicated connecting Earth to this place?

He had no answer.

"I know what you’re thinking," Destiny said, immediately snapping him out of his thoughts.

Julius looked at her.

"And the answer to that question is for you to find yourself."

She smiled mysteriously.

"Though you won’t need to wait much, of course."

Julius’s eyes narrowed. That statement only created more questions.

Before he could ask what she meant, Destiny suddenly paused. Her expression changed, and the playful smile that had remained on her face throughout their conversation disappeared.

"Oh."

She turned toward Julius, her eyes were suddenly serious.

"Kill that bastard, Crypian."

"Eh?"

Julius stared at her, genuinely caught off guard by the sudden change in topic. He had been expecting another cryptic statement about Earth or perhaps some revelation regarding his future, not a completely straightforward command to kill someone.

He wasn’t particularly opposed to the idea. In fact, considering what he already knew about Crypian, Julius had no shortage of reasons to dislike him. Still, Destiny’s sudden hostility was difficult to understand.

"Why?"

Destiny’s eyes remained serious.

"He previously treated someone very precious to me terribly."

A trace of resentment appeared in her eyes, and for perhaps the first time, Julius saw genuine anger on her face.

"So kill him."

She paused briefly.

"Kill him in the most brutal way possible."

Julius stared at her. The atmosphere had become strangely heavy.

He had seen Destiny laugh, tease him, pat his hair, explain incomprehensible abilities as though they were simple concepts, and casually speak about the past and future. But this was different.

There was no playfulness in her voice now. Whatever had happened to the person she was talking about, it had clearly left behind enough resentment for even Destiny to remember it.

Julius remained silent for a moment before giving a small nod.

"...Okay."

He wasn’t going to argue.

"Anyway..." Julius cleared his throat, deciding that perhaps it was better not to dwell on the subject. "About everything else, I think it’s about time I return."

He looked around the courtyard.

The scenery had begun to feel strangely distant, almost as though he were looking at it through a layer of water. The sensation pulling at his consciousness had grown considerably stronger, and Julius could tell that his connection to the vision was weakening.

He could feel something calling him from outside. His body was waiting for him.

Destiny slowly stood up as well and looked down at him.

"Looks like you’re really leaving."

"Yeah."

Julius rose to his feet, though he still felt reluctant to turn away. Despite everything that had happened, there was something strangely peaceful about this place. More importantly, he couldn’t shake the feeling that this conversation had changed something.

He had entered the vision knowing almost nothing about Destiny, yet he was leaving with more questions than answers, along with the promise of an ability that could completely transform his understanding of the All-Seeing Eyes.

Destiny stepped closer.

Then she reached out and gently caressed his hair.

Julius’s expression softened for a moment, but the moment Destiny began leaning toward him, his instincts immediately kicked in.

He quickly pulled his head back.

"Whoa, we two are married..." Julius said awkwardly, taking another small step away. "It isn’t appropriate if you—"

"What are you talking about?"

Destiny blinked at him. Her expression was genuinely confused.

"Come here. I need to give you the memories."

"Ahem..."

Julius coughed into his fist, realizing that he had completely misunderstood her intentions.

"Right. Of course."

Destiny smiled at his embarrassment but didn’t tease him any further. She simply stepped closer again and gently placed her hands against him before leaning forward.

Julius hesitated for a moment before allowing her to approach. Then their foreheads touched.

The instant they made contact, Julius felt something rush into his consciousness.

It wasn’t painful. Instead, it felt as though an enormous amount of information had suddenly been connected to his mind, memories that weren’t his own yet somehow carried a strange sense of familiarity.

Images flashed through his thoughts, followed by sensations, techniques, failures, realizations, and countless fragments of understanding regarding the All-Seeing Eyes.

Destiny’s voice reached him from very far away.

"Take care..." Her voice gradually became more distant as the vision itself began fading around him.

"And make sure we get..."

Those were the last words Julius heard before everything went blank.
