Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny

Chapter 378: The Empresses Forgot Their Boyfriend

Serina remained silent for a few moments, clearly organizing the enormous amount of memories that had only recently returned to her.

After a while, she finally spoke. "First, what Lenox and Corlan told you was only partially correct."

Damian raised an eyebrow.

Serina continued calmly, "Miona and I truly are Ancient Humans. That part wasn’t wrong."

She lifted one hand, and a mirror formed from water beside her, showing the image of two infants. "However, the two babies they discovered inside those ruins weren’t simply ordinary infants who had been sealed away."

Damian raised an eyebrow. "If they weren’t just sealed babies, then what were they? Puppets? Corpses?"

Miona leaned back in her chair. "Of course not. If they were corpses, how the hell would they have grown?"

Serina gave a small nod. "Sorry. Let me explain it properly. Those babies were indeed sealed away... but they weren’t normal babies."

Her eyes became more serious. "They were babies created by us for the future."

Damian and Cassandra’s eyes widened.

He immediately blurted out, "You made them? Then who the hell is the father?"

Miona’s face twitched. "Goddammit, idiot! Artificially made, not sexually made!"

Damian blinked. "Serina only said ’made.’"

Serina sighed. "My mistake. Let me correct that. They were artificially created by us for a certain reason."

Miona leaned back. "Sis, explain that part later. Just tell them who we really are first."

Serina nodded. "Yes. That would be a better place to start."

She turned toward Damian and Cassandra. "The truth is, long ago, Miona and I were twin sisters... and the rulers of the [Twin Heaven-Abyss Sea Palace]."

Her gaze shifted toward the enormous palace standing in the distance. "And just as you’re probably thinking, we were once known as the Twin Empresses."

Damian nodded slowly. "Alright, we already understand who you really are. Now what was the point of creating those babies?"

Miona tapped one finger against the table. "Can you be patient for once, stupid Damian?"

Damian sighed and leaned back. "Fine, fine. Go on."

Serina continued, "In the past, we were already extremely powerful, but we still weren’t satisfied. More importantly, we were nearing the end of our lifespans, and instead of simply accepting death..."

Miona finished for her. "We started preparing another path. And that path was those babies... no, more accurately, the bodies we’re living in now."

Serina nodded. "We spent an enormous portion of the palace’s accumulated resources creating them, all in preparation for the future."

Damian’s eyes widened slightly. "So you basically dumped your entire fucking treasury into creating two mere babies?"

Miona snorted. "Two mere babies? Are you kidding me? These babies... no, these bodies are the most perfect creations we ever made."

Serina actually smiled faintly before continuing. "Indeed. They were not only created to perfectly house our powerful souls..."

She raised one hand, and water slowly gathered around her fingers. "...but also to become the ideal bodies for controlling our power, and more importantly, the best possible foundations for our future cultivation."

Hearing that, Damian immediately remembered their ridiculous System panels.

Everything they possessed belonged to the same complete set, making their entire cultivation foundation almost unnaturally perfect.

After all, the System had already explained that only through an extremely refined connection between the Body, Qi, and Soul could someone forge a Supreme Grade Foundation or something even greater.

No wonder the Twin Empresses had been willing to pour almost all of their accumulated resources into creating these bodies.

And more importantly... they had actually succeeded, as both of them now possessed Supreme Grade Foundations.

Damian then changed the topic. "Judging from your current condition, it looks like you succeeded. But why did your souls only awaken now?"

Serina explained, "Because our bodies and souls were sealed in different places. We deliberately placed the babies elsewhere together with those damaged records for a certain reason."

Miona grinned. "So we could fool someone into raising the babies until they were old enough for us to fuse with them."

Serina nodded. "After all, we had no desire to spend the first few years of our new lives as helpless babies. That would be terribly inconvenient. You understand, don’t you, Damian?"

Damian nodded. "Yeah, I can agree with that. Being a baby with an adult mind sounds annoying as hell. And pretty dangerous too if someone figured it out."

He thought about it again. "So your actual souls were sealed inside the palace. That explains why the records said your awakening had to happen here."

Serina nodded. "Exactly. And that palace is basically worthless now. Most of its remaining power and resources were absorbed by these bodies during our awakening."

Miona smirked. "Yeah. All that’s left is one grand-looking shell."

Damian stared at the palace for a moment before suddenly bursting into laughter. "Hahaha! So Lenox and Corlan are searching through that entire fucking palace for nothing?"

His grin widened. "What a pair of idiots."

Cassandra finally spoke. "So, from what I understand, your original souls have now possessed these bodies. But what happened to the Serina and Miona we knew before?"

Miona shrugged. "Please don’t use the word ’possession.’" These are our original bodies, created by us, for us."

Serina nodded. "Exactly. As for the Serina and Miona you knew, they were still us. Their souls, memories, emotions, and experiences simply fused together with our original souls once the awakening was complete."

Damian immediately relaxed a little. "I see. No wonder your mouth and attitude are still exactly the same."

Serina smiled faintly. "Of course. So don’t worry. We’re still the same Serina and Miona you knew."

Miona grinned. "Except now we’re smarter, stronger, more experienced, and way more mature. Hahahaha!"

Damian stared at both sisters for several seconds before finally letting out a long breath.

The tension that had been sitting on his shoulders since seeing their favorability suddenly drop finally loosened.

He looked back at them and smiled. "Good, then. Because for a moment there, I seriously thought I had accidentally helped two ancient monsters replace my women."

Miona’s smile instantly vanished, replaced by a dangerous frown. "Your women?"

Damian froze.

Serina covered her mouth, trying not to laugh, while Cassandra immediately turned away, her shoulders shaking.

Damian coughed. "I mean... future members of the Forbidden Immortal Harem."

Miona slammed both hands onto the table. "DAMIAN!"
