Damian’s eyes remained fixed on the two System panels floating before him, genuine worry appearing on his face.

Damian read the panels again, and the worried look on his face deepened as he resisted the urge to curse.

Both sisters had jumped straight from the Golden Core Realm to Peak Nascent Soul Realm.

And that wasn’t even the worst part. Their Spiritual Roots, Physiques, and Bloodlines had all reached Supreme King Grade, two entire levels above both him and Cassandra.

Even worse, they had somehow gained an entirely new Soul slot, and even that was Supreme King Grade.

Basically, the two sisters had transformed into walking monsters.

And yet, none of that was the real reason Damian had told Cassandra to get serious.

The real reason was the final slot.

---

[Favorability: 60]

---

Damian’s expression darkened.

He didn’t even care about the 1000× Multiplier, despite it being the highest he had ever seen.

What worried him most was the Favorability.

He clearly remembered that both sisters had been around 80 before, yet now they had suddenly dropped to 60.

That meant their awakening hadn’t merely strengthened them. It had also changed their minds and personalities, just like what had happened to Cassandra after her Blood Festival.

Damian cursed under his breath. "Goddammit... this is really bad. I never expected their awakening to change them this much..."

Cassandra, on the other hand, looked at Damian with genuine worry. She had rarely seen him act this serious.

She slowly stepped closer. "Damian... why the hell are you acting like this? What really happened to them?"

Damian glanced at her before answering quietly, "They changed. Basically the same way you changed after your Blood Festival... but unlike you, I can feel hostility from them."

The moment Cassandra heard that, her expression hardened.

If Damian was right, then the two women above were no longer exactly the same Serina and Miona they had known before.

Without another word, Cassandra summoned her true blood sword. Crimson Qi surged around the blade as she narrowed her eyes.

She tightened her grip on the blood sword and smiled faintly. "Looks like this might be the first time I actually have to get serious... and maybe the last."

Damian immediately frowned. "Goddammit, don’t fucking jinx it. Stop talking like we’re about to die here."

Cassandra chuckled softly, deliberately lightening the mood. "Hehe... fair enough."

After all, being cautious was one thing. Being terrified before the fight even started was another.

---

Serina and Miona finally descended onto the dried seabed, their overwhelming Ocean Qi gradually settling around them.

For several seconds, neither sister spoke.

Their eyes first moved toward Cassandra, who was standing in front of Damian with her blood sword already drawn, before shifting toward Damian himself.

Miona raised an eyebrow. "Seriously? We wake up and the first thing you two do is prepare to fight us?"

Damian blinked as he immediately recognized that tone and blunt attitude. That was definitely the same Miona he knew.

Cassandra clearly noticed it too, though she still didn’t lower her sword.

Serina sighed softly. "Please, relax, you two. Neither of us intends to attack you."

Damian stared at her.

The voice was still gentle and composed, but something had undeniably changed.

Serina now carried an effortless authority that hadn’t been there before, as though giving orders was simply natural to her.

Miona crossed her arms. "Although seeing you look this scared is pretty fucking funny."

Damian’s eye twitched. He still wasn’t completely sure whether this was truly the same Miona or not, but that smug little smirk certainly looked familiar.

He finally relaxed slightly. "Alright. Then explain what the hell happened to you two."

Serina glanced toward Miona before looking back at Damian. "That explanation is going to take a while."

She raised one hand.

Water Qi gathered from the remaining moisture in the air, condensing into a beautifully carved transparent table and four elegant chairs directly on the seabed.

Serina sat down first and gestured toward the nearby chairs. "Please, sit. Don’t worry, there’s no poison."

Damian stared at the sisters for a moment without saying anything before simply taking one of the chairs.

Cassandra hesitated, but after seeing Damian sit, she dismissed her blood sword and took the seat beside him.

Miona casually dropped into the chair opposite them, crossing one leg over the other.

Serina folded her hands neatly on the table. "Now... are you ready to hear the truth, Damian?"

Damian leaned back and crossed his arms. "Of course. I want to know what the hell happened to you two."

Serina nodded and began to explain.

Meanwhile, inside the palace, Lenox and Corlan were becoming increasingly furious.

Lenox kicked open another ancient chamber.

Empty.

At the same time, Corlan tore open what looked like a massive treasury door, only to find absolutely nothing inside.

They searched one hall after another. Formation rooms with no cores. Treasure halls with no treasures.

Cultivation chambers stripped of energy. Storage spaces containing nothing but dust.

Corlan finally exploded. "WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE TREASURES?!"

Lenox stared at yet another empty hall, veins bulging across his forehead. "And where are the traps?! Ancient inheritances are supposed to have fucking traps!"

Silence answered them.

Corlan slowly looked around. "...Did we just break into an empty palace?"

Lenox frowned deeply before shaking his head. "No. I don’t believe it. Something this ancient must have hidden areas deeper inside."

He turned toward the next corridor. "Let’s keep going. There has to be something in this damn place."
