Villain Extra: Rogue Reader
Chapter 102: Missions
Not a single person left in the now near-empty auditorium could believe what they had just heard.
“Come again?” Margaret had to double-check whether her hearing was fine or not.
What did he mean that he wasn’t going to enter the entry trial?
Ray continued to grab some food in the trolley cart. He then explained, “You said to survive the hunt from other students, right? I’m now doing exactly that by hiding here.”
Since everyone was eager to enter the so-called illusion formation to compete in the entry trial, he could simply remain still.
It wasn’t like Margaret had set any time limit or rules that a student must enter the trial to complete.
“…”
Sure enough, Margaret was rendered speechless. She was caught off-guard and hadn’t anticipated Ray to be that sly.
In theory, his logic made sense and wasn’t breaking any rules. But in common sense logic, he was definitely breaking them without a qualm.
“You must enter the trial to take effect.” She declared.
“No, you didn’t specify the rules, and now you want to change it on a whim? Are the professors in Crestellan Academy that untrustworthy?” Ray responded with a question of his own.
And it wasn’t an easy question to answer either.
One wrong response, and that would put the academy’s reputation at risk.
‘This shrewd bastard.’ Margaret should have known when Ray didn’t make much of a commotion besides negotiating for more Stellan Points.
He was actually planning this in advance and making her fall right into the trap.
“Young Master…” Even Belva was a bit baffled by his action. Almost every eye was now on him, and they weren’t quite friendly.
Truth be told, Belva found his words quite reasonable, and for someone who didn’t care much about their face, he could absolutely do this.
“What will make you enter the trial?” Margaret pursed her lips and asked. With so many eyes, she couldn’t possibly resort to violence or coercion.
These sponsors might appear to be displeased by Ray’s action, but the reality was that they were intrigued.
The more outrageous and unique a student behaved, the more marketing possibilities there were for them.
And currently, Ray was like a hot commodity.
His boldness and outright frank behavior made them interested.
“Hmm, I don’t know?” Ray shrugged his shoulders. He wasn’t kidding when he said he didn’t know what he really wanted.
The storyline was progressing well, and he could basically take a breather.
[+2 Villain Points!]
‘Seriously? I wasn’t even trying to farm points, and you’re delivering them to me?’ This was quite an unexpected gain.
Just when he planned on lazing around and farming more points, his plan was quickly spoiled.

[SECOND QUEST UNLOCKED]
Quest: Enter the welcome ceremony trial and survive the hunt!
Objective: Join the entry trial orchestrated by Professor Margaret and prove everyone wrong by surviving the hunt from all the first-year students!
Reward: +1,000 Villain Points (VP). A chance to enhance the teleportation skill usage to another level. [Even if the enhancement fails, a small flaw upgrade would be included.]
Failure: Become a laughingstock and get mocked throughout the semester. The chance to earn Villain Points would be reduced.
Note: A proper Villain shouldn’t be cowering from a challenge. Only a coward does that, and not an extra villain.

When Ray finished reading the system prompt, he found the failure penalty to be quite trivial.
It was no longer ridiculous, like the loss of manhood anymore.
Had they continued such a failure penalty, it would not only become boring, but he would also lose even more interest in completing the mission.
‘To think a second quest was generated like this.’ Nevertheless, he was quite stunned to see a quest popping up so soon.
The villain points reward aside, the chance to enhance his teleportation skill was quite interesting.
His teleportation was constantly used to dodge and close the gap on his opponent. It could be said to be even more useful than the Feral Movement skill.
Of course, that didn’t mean Feral Movement skill was a waste.
The teleportation was more efficient in short-term usage. But when it comes to long-term usage, Feral Movement was much superior.
Despite the enticement, Ray wasn’t blinded by the fact that the system mentioned that it could fail to enhance.
And the likelihood of him failing was extremely high.
As if the system would give him such a big power-up.
“Hmm, what’s going on?” While Ray was distracted, the principal Leonard had returned to the scene.
“The entry trial has started?” Leon asked around when he noticed how spacious and quiet the auditorium had become.
“Yes, Principal.” Elsa nodded and quickly informed Leonard of the situation.
“Hoh, that’s interesting.” Leon mused and turned his attention to Ray. “Student Raymond, if you can really survive the pursuit of so many students, I can grant you one favor.”
“What?”
“Is this true?”
“My goodness!”
As soon as Leon finished his statement, the nearby sponsors all gasped in disbelief.
How could they not know what it meant to have Leonard owing them a favor?
That was equivalent to a wild card!
A wild card that ensured their prosperity and risk-free!
“Isn’t that a bit too much, Principal?” Elsa’s face turned slightly pale, and she wanted to persuade him not to be so impulsive.
A favor from Leonard was by no means a lighthearted matter.
Not even the emperor of the Crestellan Empire had the honor of gaining a favor from Leonard.
Sure enough, Ray’s brows twitched slightly. He sat up straight and stared at the principal in seriousness.
“Does that favor mean I can request anything?” He asked calmly.
“Yes, you can.” Leon then paused for a few seconds and clarified. “Aside from wanting me to kill or harm any of the professors or the interest of the academy, you can request me to do anything.”
“Even if it means expelling some students? I doubt a few students being gone wouldn’t actually affect the academy’s interest.” Ray suggested, his eyes narrowed in a cold light.
