Chapter 584 584. YOU SHOULD BE GLAD

“What is the meaning of this?” The lady asked. Her tone spoke of her anger, but she remained in place. Merely the whiffs exuded by the daggers damaged her skin. All he needed to do was apply adequate force and her head would roll.

Even for tier 4’s, the detachment of their head meant instant death.

“What do you think?” Noah arced an eyebrow ready to take her seriously if she had any tricks under her sleeves, which she probably did. “I am interrogating you, and I expect answers.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she feigned ignorance, and Noah applied a bit of pressure on her neck, drawing blood even if that blood withered and bits of her powerful skin began to lose vitality. .𝘯𝘵

Thanks to her peak tier 4 body she could stop that effect from spreading quickly. Were it to be a middle staged expert, they would find their heads withering into nothingness in mere seconds.

The lady on the other hand could completely stop it. But Noah never meant to kill her.

“My blades possess the special ability called withering. Not only that but also combustion. Two recipes for utter annihilation of my target. Be careful, I might just accidentally kill you,” Noah’s words were slow whilst his eyes calmly swept her figure.

She clenched her fists and grit her teeth.

“They will find you and kill you.” She threatened him feelingly slightly smug.

“Oh oh! You mean the veiled ones?” Noah exclaimed and her expression froze.

“How do you know that?” Her expression turned dark and her tone shook slightly. She had heard tales of the might of the veiled ones, the fact that he knew them meant big things.

“Simple,” Noah replied. “I killed a couple of them.” He shrugged, and an expression screaming unbelief exploded on her youthful features.

“Bullshit!” She exclaimed, almost giggling in astonishment at his words. “They are the best of the best there’s no way someone like you could actually kill one.”

“Oh, you really think that?” Noah pressed his blades on her neck. She panicked.

“I just don’t believe one would be deployed to take care of you,” she tried to calm the whole situation. Her life was literally on the line.

“Nah… you’re pretty strong yourself. I reckon you’ll do as good as one of those creepy people,” he nodded, putting amazement on her face.

“Really?” She felt her chest swell at the idea, but cynical thoughts flowed into her mind and she doubted him once again.

“You almost fooled me there.” She glared. “There’s no way you could kill the veiled ones, they possess techniques that shatter what the world knows,” she scoffed cautiously glancing at Noah’s black, orange, purple, and silver blades, releasing similarly colored mists.

“He isn’t lying.” A masculine voice deep and powerful resounded in the chamber and Noah grabbed onto the lady to shatter the sound barrier.

Their former position which had been on the destroyed Mecha saw a jet of shining blue water radiating a powerful aura engulf that place and the Mecha; despite its peak tier 4 material, vanished along with a huge chunk of the ground. The attack had dug an incredible hole in the ground many meters deep.

The whole chamber trembled with violent intensity and more boulders fell to the ground.

“I wondered when one of you would show up… again,” Noah revealed, arriving at a spot high in that chamber.

His left arm remained around the lady’s waist even if he placed one of his daggers on her neck utilizing his other hand.

“You’re quick, just as they said,” the floating man commented, even if he vanished from his spot and his acceleration caused a huge portion of the chamber’s wall that he backed to vanish, expanding that one chamber into another.

Noah saw that explosive power and evaluated the man’s power.

Shaking his head, he transformed into a silver streak that arrived at the man’s former position, he did not stop however, since the man crossed the distance between them to arrive back at that spot in barely a second.

Noah moved, and a chase unfolded. Unlike Noah, the man’s movements were powerful enough to blow away chunks of the walls, and as such that chamber had expanded about twice its original size in less than a minute.

Blue mist from the tunnel that entered that chamber spread forth at that point and mana remained abundant in that area, except that they all vanished instants later, eaten by the black box.

That detail did not concern Noah since all he did was focus on not getting caught by the man.

The duo stopped at some point and they floated over 500m from each other. That distance was easy to be covered, but the man knew he could not catch his stunning opponent.

The lady in Noah’s arms had been capable of following the event, but Noah had never relieved her neck of his dangerous blade.

“You have come to kill me o veiled one,” Noah mocked, even if he felt no pleasure from that event.

“You should have at least tried to escape his arms. I cannot attack fully due to your presence,” the man ignored Noah to address the lady in his arms.

Her eyes widened. But she could not speak since Noah pressed his blade on her neck.

“I see,” the man sighed. Throughout the entire chase, he had kept his arms folded behind his back, donning a regal black and red robe.

“He is someone highly wanted by our lords, the immortal’s.” The man’s voice remained profound and powerful. His figure radiated close to no aura but that wasn’t enough to deceive Noah’s senses.

He didn’t need the eyes of the death lord’s skill to know the man stood at the quasi-tier-5 level.

“I will attack both of you together if it means accomplishing the will of the masters,” the man explained. “You should be glad you died for such a cause.” He announced when several blue magical circles manifested around his calm figure.

Pillars of shining blue water shot forward only to manifest as tens of arms all shooting for Noah’s evading figure.

Explosions never stopped resounding when those huge shining blue arms struck the walls of that expanse whilst the others chased after him.

Noah shook his head seeing terror appear on the lady’s face.

“The puppets they send are getting stronger, but that hardly matters, you will all meet the same fate.” Noah’s calm voice expanded into the whole chamber as silver light sprung into existence.

He let go of the white-haired lady even if the world had stopped moving relative to him. His figure vanished from his position as he accelerated to his peak and Noah arrived behind the man. His arm remained folded behind him leaving him completely open. Or so Noah thought.

He clicked his tongue when black illusory arms sprung out of the man’s back to grab hold of his descending blades.

Noah scoffed and unleashed huge slashes that engulfed the man’s figure, but he didn’t stop there.

Casting slicing wind which generated a huge gust of wind possessing sharpness, and arctic palm, which gave birth to a massive palm of snow, only that it engulfed everything, freezing both the slashes, the slicing wind, and the man.

Nevertheless, that display of power and spells availed nothing since a flash of shining blue light beamed from within the chunk of ice to cut that frozen mass in two halves revealing that the man remained alright.

Noah saw this and did not hesitate to drop his human form, adopting the pristine nature that revealed the peak of his power.

The underground systems trembled violently at the expansion of two quasi-tier-5 auras. So much so that even the upper layers caught tremors that shook things until certain chambers crumbled on themselves. Leaving the elves wondering what that was.
