Chapter 582 582. ALREADY?
Sparks flew everywhere and two blurs shifted across the space within the wide expanse featuring the black box.
A figure crashed into the walls of that expanse and chunks of that mass shattered to crumble, falling to the ground.
The figure turned out to be Erolia, and she quickly left that spot to shatter the sound barrier.
The moment she left, a beam of light hit that spot and blinding white light flowed into the world clouding a huge portion of that expanse.
The roaring of lightning filled the expanse and silver bolts rushed forth into existence slamming into a huge mechanical figure
The bolt possessed great power and when it struck the Mecha’s arm it exploded chunks of its limb.
Still, two beams of white light shot out of the Mecha’s eyes to try and slam into the figure that had delivered the attack, but huge walls of ice sprung into existence stopping that attack even if Noah who remained behind it was sent flying due to the shock waves that explosion generated.
A moment of silence unfolded at that point and Noah ascended again while Erolia appeared beside him.
Their gazes fell on the Mecha before them and they noticed the significantly bad state it was in.
They had managed to almost completely destroy its torso as only chunks of its figure now existed connecting its upper body to its leg.
Sparks flickered now and then and blue mist flowed out often. The Mecha’s face now had its left side shaved off, revealing the black nature of its insides. Its eye sockets still glowed a vibrant shade, however.
The chest area of that Mecha remain almost completely intact, and the duo knew the reason for that.
There was a human powering that huge robot. Or at least controlling it.
Erolia heaved heavy breaths and her chest rose and fell while memories of that battle flashed in her eyes. She quietly glanced at Noah and saw how he still looked okay even if his attire barely stood on his body.
“I’m exhausted,” Erolia conveyed that reality to Noah and he nodded.
“You should rest then, I should be able to handle the remaining,” Noah explained, focusing on her now.
“But that would be like the fifth time now,” Erolia complained even if she could not refute that reality. Unlike her master, her stamina wasn’t nigh boundless.
“It doesn’t matter, you’ve been a great help to me for the two days this battle has raged on,” Noah commended her, and she couldn’t help but acknowledge his words.
Erolia bowed her head in somberness. “I’ll try my best to heal quickly!” She exclaimed, before transforming into a cerulean streak that entered his chest.
Noah nodded at that point and swept his gaze on the expanse around him. He shook his head at the destruction all around him.
He had promised to take his battles high into the sky but that enclosed area could not allow such.
Their battle, which had been going on for over 48 hours straight, left that expanse in a pitiful state.
Its walls had been dug many meters in. Noah even suspected they might burst into another chamber within that massive underground world.
Chunks of frozen terrain, charred spots, and huge craters riddled that place. It looked like a genuine battle had occurred within the chamber. 𝙚𝙙𝙤𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝒎
How that expanse could even remain standing after going through all that showed just how much the mana in that environment had increased its durability.
“You should just give in,” Noah spoke to the person powering the Mecha. She had barely spoken during their two days of fighting.
“Fool, you’d have to kill me first!” Her voice mechanized by the robot shook that place and her robot stretched its hand forward to unleash a violent beam of light.
Noah shook his head, easily evading that attack. In truth, he had held back during those days. There was still too much he had not revealed to the world.
That battle was dragging on too much, now he understood why the voice in the upper layers of the expanse had said two to three days would be required to actually complete the expedition.
The battle itself was the longest thing. At least for him, it was.
To show how much of a monster she and her Mecha was, she had been capable of taking him and Erolia.
Noah opened his palm and Cudgel’s figure slammed into his grip after shooting out of a pile of blue rocks.
“I’ve been taking you seriously all this while, but let’s take things up a notch,” Noah announced, spinning his staff before him, even if he allowed it to disappear and his daggers replaced it.
Noah shattered the sound barrier to arrive on the head of that giant robot. They had destroyed its barrier and for some reason, the woman never deployed it again, maybe because of how he had made short work of it after it was revealed.
Noah raised and lowered his blades in a simple swing and two multicolored slashes fell from those blades to engulf the giant Mecha in their power.
He had unleashed those attacks at point blank. The sound of metal striking metal had been intense, but he had felt the tips of his dagger’s cut through its head after an instant.
Jumping back as a result of the intensity of that attack, Noah felt his instincts tingle and he could only allow Muliix to return to his skin even if he placed a barrier of sparks and wind all around him.
A spectacular explosion unfolded into the world merely instants later, and that violent wave of power touched every part of the underground chamber.
That place continued to tremble violently. But the blue box remained unaffected.
Noah watched his elemental protections disappear under the influence of that attack, but it didn’t matter since he had remained unhurt.
His figure smashed into the walls again and he continued to dig through it until he burst into an open space just as he had thought. Only this time he landed inside a pool of shining blue liquid.
It was shallow and he stood up sensing the sheer amount of mana within that pool. Or rather, the pool itself was liquefied mana!
Noah glanced at it for a second even if his instincts tingled again and he crossed his blades before him, parrying the massive beam of light that arrived on his position.
Searing heat spiraled into the world, but Noah simply pushed that attack to the side.
The beam of light bounced off his blades to slam into the walls of that equally large chamber.
“You’ve gotten weaker already?” He commented, shooting forward to deliver a kick on the Mecha’s face, caving in a significant portion of its metallic head.
It had not been able to pass through the hole he created so he sent it flying backward; toward the box, which it slammed into and the whole expanse shook, causing boulders to fall to the ground.
