Chapter 581 581. INVISIBLE BARRIER
Noah and Erolia fell into that mana-rich environment and their opponent could not chase after them again.
Still, they descended towards the surface, understanding that the pit had only been a tunnel into that beautiful place.
Blue walls and all sorts of glowing stones and crystals. Noah felt that the mana density in that place was strong enough to feed whole cities.
Both individuals remained silent as they walked across the ground of that incredibly spacious place. Erolia felt her eyes take in as much as she could. That place had to be the most wondrous location she had been to in her life.
Huge mana stones existed in that place. All of the various colors. There were blue mana stones within that spacious expanse and Noah could only feel like he had hit a jackpot.
But even more, he found mana crystals which were a grade above mana stones. Mana crystals were just as they were called, crystals of mana. All mana crystals were white transparent gems that possessed swirling blue essence within them.
Mana crystals could only be found in not just a place with great amounts of mana, but pure mana. If mana stones were purified to their peak, the outcome would be a mana crystal, even if artificial ones were less valuable than the real deal.
Still, not many knew about those crystals since many years had passed since the fall of the mana density in the human continent.
Noah saw huge chunks of mana crystals situated at different points of the expanse. Not only did mana crystals possess incredibly pure mana in their chunks, but the smallest of them held far more mana than even purple mana stones. There were even purple mana stones within that place.
The fact that he now found chunks of mana crystals, chunks even bigger than the average man, he could not but see the worth of that place. He saw it as a way to better the guild’s state. They needed more, and that place held far more than any guild could dream of holding.
Noah believed it would take only a few months of cultivating for a tier-one to reach the peak of the third tier!
“I might as well seize some before we battle our opponent,” Noah halted his steps sweeping his gaze on that fantastical environment. Greed did not exist in his dictionary, that place was also of use to him, but he already had a place that served him essence. He only hardly cultivated.
That place would be of use to his comrades, they were the ones he thought about.
Unfolding his aura in that vast place Noah began to pull mana stones, and mana crystals out of the terrain of that place.
The procedure had to be very delicate as the mana crystals were sensitive. Thankfully Noah knew finesse. He could pull those chunks out in mere seconds, all he asked Erolia to do was gather the mana stones.
He could do both by himself, but he wanted her to feel needed even if she knew that wasn’t the case. For this reason, Erolia put her best into it. Sure mana stones cracked once in while, but that didn’t matter compared to the many she managed to gather in one piece.
Even after an hour of gather, all they had done was create a slightly less shiny spot in that spacious expanse.
Noah had gathered more than 200 mana crystals capable of towering a bit over a human! That gain was enough to create the best types of cultivating rooms in the whole of the cusk nation.
“This is enough for them to believe us. I can always return here with the elders. I believe they will be very pleased,” Noah explained, waving his hand to store the great number of valuable stones.
They continued on their journey into a certain tunnel. There were many tunnels but Noah felt an unimaginable amount of mana ooze out of one.
The deeper they went into that place the more stones and crystals appeared on the wall, until it got to a point where only large crystals remained on the walls and ceilings of the huge tunnel.
Noah concluded that what he felt was something beyond the fifth tier. He wondered why the being could not just gather those stones and take them to increase its power.
The close they got to the end of the tunnel the more intense the mana density was, so much so that Noah had to create an item that pulled in that energy. Erolia did the same and her power grew as they walked.
‘This is too much.” Noah commented when they arrived at a particular point. At this juncture, the mana in the environment felt solid like a wall. Besides, a vast dense blue mist now existed all around them, making it hard to see.
Even Erolia stopped pulling mana into her body. She felt like she was taking in far more than she could handle.
“We’re gonna have to force our way through,” Noah announced, bending his knees, Erolia did the same too. But he allowed a coat of silver essence to appear around their figures like a bubble.
They sprinted forward at that point and they felt like they dug through the very ground, only tougher.
Thankfully they were able to scale through and to Erolia’s surprise they arrived at a point that did not feature mist in its air, but now the tunnel was expanding again, into another big expanse.
‘Just how big is this place?’ Noah could not help but wonder.
Their tiny figures walked past the tunnel and into the giant chamber, and the first detail both individuals noticed was the lack of that many mana crystals. There was only enough to light that place enough for seeing clearly.
The second detail would be none other than the massive black and blue box floating at the very center of that place.
Noah only needed to glance at it to understand that it was their target. The massive black box shone with an innumerable amount of moving blue inscriptions. That place was devoid of mana even if mana had been overflowing in the tunnel.
Quickly scanning the environment for the third and crucial detail. Noah felt the ground begin to tremble as the ground tore open to allow an 80m tall figure to emerge from the ground.
‘A robot… or a mecha?…’ Noah commented inspecting the white mass of all sorts of metals shining with a white light of their own.
The giant mechanism was mainly white in color but possessed purple and gold inscriptions running across its torso, arms, neck, and face.
A mechanical whirring sound filled the environment and a blazing blue light appeared in its eye sockets. Its gaze fell on him.
The Mecha had emerged from a spot very close to the giant box which was actually bigger than its figure. The perfectly cubical box itself was about 190m in size.
The Mecha radiated power in the peak of the fourth tier, just as the being had mentioned. It took a step forward and the ground shattered beneath the weight of its figure. π»πΌπ―πΉοΌπ¨πΏπ΄
Noah allowed Cudgel to appear in his grip, he would be using that weapon throughout. He had taken Muliix from Erolia at some point so he also allowed it to appear on his skin leaving his head open.
His aura unfolded as he prepared to battle and defeat that being. In honesty, he doubted he could achieve that feat. If the being that merely guarded the entrance into the place was as strong as that, how much more the guardian of the very box itself?
Erolia remained in her human form. Against such a large opponent being small was an advantage. If she transformed she would almost be as tall as it.
The Mecha began to walk towards them, its steps shaking that environment.
There was about 700m distance between them, but Noah would of course not let it cross that distance before he attacked.
Stretching his arm towards the hard-to-miss target, Noah unleashed a massive bolt of lightning containing about 10% of his vast pool.
The silver bolt roared as it bathe the environment in its light.
The Mecha raised its huge white arm to try and block the attack but its reflexes were nothing to show off, so that discharge ended up slamming into its huge chest and the sheer force behind that attack caused it to take a step back, shattering the ground, which caused it to fall to its butt.
The Mecha’s back fell on the box and the whole area experienced a violent tremor. The box remained unmoved.
Noah did not wait for it to recover, he shattered the sound barrier to ascend higher into that place. Spinning Cudgel above his head, he allowed his staff to take on the form of a silver and blue crackling mass.
Noah sent Cudgel toward the Mecha and he allowed it to transform into a massive pillar of electricity. He hoped to fry it if it obeyed the same rules as from earth, unfortunately, that would not be the case.
Noah found that his attack had been made useless by the appearance of a white barrier projecting the sitting Mecha.
He stayed high up before calling Cudgel back into his palm. It returned in a flash.
Noah moved when a beam of white light swept past his position, crashing into the ceiling high up and cutting through it easily.
The Mecha began to stand but Noah rained lightning bolts on its figure only to realize that an invisible barrier now existed around its body protecting it from his attacks. The Mecha could stand and point its arm toward Noah’s figure.
“You’re annoying.” A feminine voice boomed forth from the Mecha’s huge figure. “Die.” A whirling sound sprung into existence and Noah watched a wave of violent white light beam toward him quicker than even he could react.
He wasn’t fast enough to evade it as it was wide-ranged, but Muliix took the brunt of the attack and he smashed and dug through the walls of that expanse. Sending significant cracks spreading in its material.
