UNLIMITED SPEED

Chapter 133 133. PATHS

Two red objects shot towards Noah, who had his eyes on a 4ft wide disk, made of ice, floating beside the dead rabbit.

The bodies of the ape and rabbit suddenly vanished after a few seconds, but Noah didn’t mind that.

Reviewing the fight with both beasts, Noah could already realize to some point how powerful he was.

The Instant death of the tier 3 cultivator already hinted at his great strength, but it still felt good to test his power.

“I wonder how i stand against middle staged cultivators,’ Noah thought while opening his stat screen just to admire it.

Noah could only nod his head at that panel. His stats remained impressive, but his current inability to level up really bothered him.

“Isn’t there any other way to level up than killing beasts?,” Noah sighed.

No response came from the system, so he could settle for what it had told him before.

Noah found cultivation too slow for whatever event would happen later in his life. Although he seemed strong, at least to the tier 3 beast, he still wasn’t certain how good he would do amongst humans stronger than him.

‘What now?,’ Noah thought, ‘It’s time to return to the human civilization.’

‘I wonder if anyone will recognize me,’ he smiled, ‘Would my ID card even be usable?.’

‘I don’t have access to Mana, which means I might not be able to get a new one.’

‘Shouldn’t there be ID cards for those who don’t cultivate. Do such people even exist,’ Noah continued.

‘Maybe I should simply tell them that I never had one or lost it at some point. I’m a tier 3 expert, I’m sure they’ll respect me,’ he grinned.

‘What if I encounter someone stronger? Would I be able to hide my different core,’ Noah said Inwardly, but the question was directed to the system.

[[You can. Since your core contains a higher form of energy, they’ll not be able to inspect it, but you’ll be able to inspect theirs. At least those within your range of power]]

Noah sighed in relief at that point. He couldn’t imagine what would happen if someone found out that he wasn’t powered by mana.

“They’ll probably experiment on me,” Noah muttered with a nostalgic smile

‘I don’t think there is a way out with the issue of the identification card. I desire to change my name, and the change of hair colour makes the card unusable, coupled with my current strength. I might need to bribe my way into bigger settlements,’ Noah laughed, while two maps appeared in front of him.

The first map which was bigger, was the one he took from Luke’s ring, and the second one being far smaller, was the one he recently got from the party.

Due to his use of maps during his first week in Crilion, Noah was able to read the map and understand his location according to what the path the party had planned, and he quickly realized a problem.

According to the smaller map, Noah’s position was roughly 240 miles from the city of Vonol on a straight line, which wasn’t much for someone moving at over 15 miles every second, though he would probably run out of energy before he arrived there.

The major problem wasn’t the distance but the obstacles along the way. Around 30 miles from his position was a, according to the small description in the map; an artificial mountain chain, which spanned for over 500 miles in length and 70 miles in width!

Noah wasn’t really sure what the map meant by artificial mountain chain, but his guess was that a really powerful individual created it, millennials ago, according to the description.

Though from Noah’s inspection, the mountain chain acted as a wall which blocked the body of water next to the land. And the in the short description the map had for the body of water, was that it’s weakest beasts were peak tier 4 creature’s!, so it was dangerous to try and traverse it.

Once again Noah quickly moved on and looked at the right end of the mountain chain. The map showed that there was a very large and dense forest, which was highly saturated with mana.

This was due to the influence of the mana-filled body of water that was currently blocked, but since the ocean used to flow unto the land for an unknown amount of year’s, it remained that way.

The dense forest contained dangerous beast that were no weaker than the lower stage of tier 3, and within them were packs of beasts who had powerful leaders of the same species leading them.

The idea of venturing into that forest crossed Noah’s mind, but when the description came flowing into his mind, he quickly dismissed the idea.

According to the flow of information, the last time the forest was checked was a few centuries ago, and the adventurers who ventured into it and returned, spoke of many packs filled with tier 4 creature’s as their leaders.

Once again, Noah’s eyes moved to where the path the group had treaded, and if Noah were to follow that path, he would need to run south of his current position, for just 30 miles, where a village of sorts was.

He would have to pass through the village as it was the only way to continue on a safe path which stretched for over 70 miles, before the road took a sharp turn that spanned only 2 miles.

After that sharp turn, he would arrive at an area a bit close to the forest and mountain chain, but at that point the road would divert into another part of the not so dense forest, which he would then travel for around 6 miles before arriving at a big city.

After this city he was out of the range of the dangerous forest. Then he could continue on a path that featured a small plain, before entering another forest, which had many paths, with one leading to Vonol.

The entire journey didn’t appear long to Noah, his only worries were the settlements he would have to pass through.

He could bypass the first village, which was by moving around either hills that it was situated between. But that was around 8 miles each, and he’d still have to travel 4 miles before arriving at the path he would have to take.

Noah wondered how small hills; according to the map, could be so wide. He understood that Creagar was far larger than Earth, but that was overkill.

“First stop, the slightly hostile village of Enil,” Noah sighed as energy crackled around his figure, he wasn’t going to run at his full speed since it took around 3000se to move at that speed for just one second!

Even at his full tank he could only keep it up for around 5 seconds.

‘Around Mach 1 it is then,’ Noah concluded, ‘Or should i quickly refill my core,’ he thought, stopping all essence from flowing. b𝚍𝚘𝚟l.nt

‘I’ll do that, then immediately begin,’ Noah concluded, afterwhich his figure vanished.
