Evan Fairchild hugged the woman who had just thrown herself into his arms.

’Is this... Has she finally accepted me?’

’Talk about a delayed reaction.’

Melody Monroe wrapped her arms around him, using all her strength. "Happy marriage, Mr. Fairchild!"

"This isn’t the wedding I had planned. Let’s have a proper ceremony, shall we?"

"No, this is fine. I’m very content," Melody Monroe said, shaking her head. "Let’s sign a prenuptial agreement—a retroactive one."

"What prenuptial agreement?"

"One for our assets."

"So, Mrs. Fairchild isn’t after my money, just me? Is that it?" Evan Fairchild asked with a smile.

Melody Monroe blushed.

Evan Fairchild suddenly leaned closer to her. "Tell me, how exactly are you ’after’ me?"

"I’m not..."

"Mrs. Fairchild, you still owe me a wedding night."

...

The two of them didn’t come downstairs until noon.

Evan Fairchild carried Melody Monroe downstairs.

"I think I smell something." Melody Monroe sniffed the air. "A very strong floral fragrance... the scent of roses."

Evan Fairchild just smiled, saying nothing as he continued to carry her downstairs.

The scene downstairs left Melody Monroe stunned.

Everywhere she looked was covered in vibrant red roses! The floor was blanketed in a thick layer of petals.

"A wedding gift," Evan Fairchild said softly.

Melody Monroe slid out of his arms and stepped barefoot onto the rose petals. She stared in awe.

’How did he prepare all this in just one night?’

’He’s given me such an incredible surprise.’

"Mrs. Fairchild."

Hearing his call, Melody Monroe turned around.

Evan Fairchild was down on one knee, holding an exquisite gift box. He opened it, revealing a pair of matching diamond rings.

Seeing his solemn expression, Melody Monroe couldn’t help but smile. But as she smiled, her eyes began to well up with tears. She walked over to him and stood before him.

Evan Fairchild took out one of the rings. "Melody Monroe, will you marry me? Will you give yourself to me completely and let me spend the rest of my life with you?"

"I will," Melody Monroe said with a nod.

Evan Fairchild slipped the ring onto her finger, then stood up and gently kissed her forehead.

Melody Monroe picked up the other ring. "Mr. Fairchild, thank you for making me your wife. Thank you for making sure I’ll never be lonely again. And thank you for making me the happiest woman in the world."

...

「Three days later.」

All the budgeted funds were transferred into the production team’s pre-arranged account.

Tommy was appointed the producer for *Rise and Fall*.

The preliminary preparations had officially begun.

Master craftsmen of ancient architecture, holders of the prestigious National First-Class Artisan title, were brought in to meticulously create a 1:1 scale replica of the Solaran Imperial Palace, along with various other sets and props.

The head of the costume department brought in experts who specialized in the Solara Dynasty. They located surviving documents from the period, as well as a recently unearthed piece of aristocratic clothing. Using these materials as references, the design and prototyping process for the costumes began.

Director Walsh led the production team, busily scouting for exterior locations and striving to perfectly recreate the scenes from the script.

The show had three main male roles, so it could be said there wasn’t a single, definitive male lead. As a result, the casting for these three characters had not yet been finalized.

...

Sean Coleman handed Zane Langdon his schedule for the upcoming month.

Zane Langdon glanced at it, then looked up at Sean Coleman. "I heard Director Walsh is preparing a new show, and that the male leads haven’t been cast yet."

"Director Walsh already contacted me. He’s hoping you’ll go in for a meeting."
