Chapter 1396: Chapter 1396: The Lost Elder

Aurelia Shaw waved her hand dismissively.

She just felt that the elder carried traces of Kai Nightshade, a sense of familiarity, and a bit more indulgence in her heart.

The elder pointed this way and that way, leading them in circles.

Aurelia Shaw smiled at the corners of her mouth, not intending to intervene, lowering her head to look at the script.

Amanda Fuller was furious, feeling as if her lungs were about to explode.

Thinking: What’s with this elder? Did he truly forget the way home or is he just playing with them?

If it were false, he seemed quite clear-headed.

But if true? Who would mess with them like this?

As dusk was falling, Amanda Fuller started to worry, wondering when this would end. Would they keep searching if the elder couldn’t remember?

At that moment, the elder pointed at a roadside stall and said, "I’m hungry, I want to eat!"

Amanda Fuller was instantly overwhelmed.

She explained, "The food at roadside stalls isn’t clean, and it’s easy to be caught by reporters. We can’t go down. How about this: if you’re hungry, we can order delivery? Or buy some dishes from the restaurant up ahead?"

"I just want to eat this!" The elder’s gaze shifted to Aurelia Shaw, pitiful yet with a hint of pleading.

Aurelia Shaw smiled helplessly.

Thinking that he really resembled her grandfather, she opened the door and walked out.

"Alright, we’ll eat this then."

Amanda Fuller watched their figures approaching the roadside stall, her head swelling, looking around to ensure no reporters were present before hurrying after them.

There weren’t many seats at the roadside stall, and by the time Aurelia and the others arrived, there were no seats left.

After getting the food, the elder squatted by the roadside to eat, and Aurelia squatted down as well.

Aurelia’s thoughts were simple.

If the elder didn’t mind, why should she? Wouldn’t that mean she was less accepting than him?

After eating, Aurelia cleaned up and got back into the car with the elder.

The elder’s eyes were half-closed, planning to nap after eating and drinking to his fill.

Amanda Fuller wanted to say something, but Aurelia Shaw shook her head at her.

Two hours later, the elder woke up.

He hadn’t slept so soundly in a long time, still in the car.

"What’s your name?"

Aurelia Shaw was taken aback, staring blankly at the elder, was he asking her?

Seeing the elder’s gaze on her, Aurelia confirmed he was asking her and said, "Aurelia Shaw." Her red lips curved into a smile, unintentionally exuding a bit of allure.

Aurelia Shaw’s appearance was inherently bold and alluring, any casual movement brought a touch of charm, her amorous eyes gleaming and beautiful like stars.

The elder stared at her face in a daze for a moment and then asked, "How old are you?"

Aurelia replied without any impatience, "24."

"Already 24, huh..." This sounded as if he was disdaining her age, but Aurelia didn’t feel that way, she was merely curious, as though the elder had something on his mind.

Never mind, she seldom meddled in others’ affairs anyway.

Because she saw traces of her grandfather in this person, even if she hadn’t seen her grandfather in a long time, during their last meeting, he was cold and distant, thinking of it made Aurelia frown slightly.

"Are you married?" The elder asked again.

Amanda Fuller’s eyebrows furrowed, feeling the elder’s question was somewhat too personal.

Aurelia Shaw smiled silently.

The elder didn’t press further.

Suddenly, the elder pointed in a certain direction, "Ah, I just remembered, my house is that way, you can drop me off in front."

The car stopped, and the elder got off.

Amanda Fuller’s brows furrowed as she looked around, the surroundings were desolate, no residences in sight. Did he really live here? She increasingly felt the elder was playing them.

"Are you sure this is it?"

Just as Aurelia Shaw finished speaking, lights flashed on, and a vintage car came to a stop.

It was a model from decades ago, with a retro design.

Someone got out and opened the rear door.
