Chapter 1395: Chapter 1395: King Victor Yann Sulking at Night

Mason Nightshade was in a bad mood and had to find someone else’s displeasure to vent out.

Gustavo Yates saw Mason come in, then noticed his grim face and took a deep breath. The boss was in a bad mood!

Sure enough, the next moment Mason said, "Didn’t the Mafia we caught confess a few hideouts? Clean them out completely."

"Boss, wouldn’t that be...not so good? Won’t it alert them?" Gustavo was worried.

Mason sneered, "Keeping them around is useless. Why keep them? Clean them out all at once, catch some live ones to interrogate. If we can’t get anything out of them, just deal with them all."

Gustavo dared not breathe heavily.

What did Young Madam do tonight to provoke this King Victor Yann?

After venting, Mason returned to his room but still couldn’t sleep.

He felt like there was a claw scratching at his heart, itching to climb the window to see Aurelia Shaw, but afraid they would be upset right after making peace, and she’d ignore him.

Mason had to forcefully hold himself back.

He glanced at a flickering red dot in the room and clenched his teeth.

Better install a camera in her room someday.

...

Caspian Parker only required Aurelia Shaw to return to the Parker’s estate at night, and otherwise imposed no restrictions.

Aurelia discussed the subsequent work with Amanda Fuller and Sawyer.

In the morning, after breakfast, Amanda’s car was parked at the door.

Aurelia got in the car, and they drove to the set.

Despite having injuries, Aurelia could still shoot some static scenes. "World" was airing, and the last few episodes weren’t finished yet.

Editing and reviewing take time; it can’t be rushed.

The day ended relatively early, and when Aurelia was preparing to remove her makeup, she saw an old man. There was no scene with an elder, why was he here?

Probably a relative of one of the actors; Aurelia paid no attention since actors’ visits to the set happen often. "World" caused a sensation after airing in M Nation.

After coming out, Aurelia saw the old man again.

His gaze underneath his bushy white eyebrows was confused and vacant; he walked from one side to the other with his cane and paused for a long time.

Aurelia frowned and approached him.

"Do you need help?" Aurelia asked softly. The elder was hunched over, requiring her to bend over to speak, yet her words were casual, her gaze showing no pity, as if she was just making a commonplace remark, ensuring no awkwardness or loss of face.

Her voice was as gentle as a breeze.

Aurelia’s voice wasn’t usually like this; it often carried an assertive tone.

Yet, before the elder, her voice and tone seemed to lower naturally, without appearing pandering or pitiful.

The elder glanced at Aurelia and snorted, turning his face away.

Aurelia shrugged and left.

If someone chooses to ignore her, why should she make herself uncomfortable?

But not long after, Aurelia came back, "Are you lost?"

The elder breathed heavily and angrily pointed his cane at Aurelia, "Don’t insinuate that I’m senile. I’m not lost! I...I know the way home!"

Seeing the elder’s angry demeanor, Aurelia chuckled.

The elder walked out and, looking bewilderedly around, walked onto another path, still bewildered and paused.

Aurelia found it amusing; it was still early to return, she said, "Why don’t I give you a ride back?"

"No! Humph! I know the way!"

Seeing his stubborn demeanor, Aurelia couldn’t help but think of Grandpa Nightshade, her heart softening, "I just arrived in M Town, don’t belong here. Why not guide me around?"

The elder had a "you young people are really incorrigible" expression and got into the car.

Amanda laughed, "The old man is funny; we tried to help him but he wasn’t appreciative, insisting we plead with him with such an indignant justification."
