The old man sat in the car, glanced at Aurelia, his look meaningful and profound.

Aurelia could not quite understand the look.

"See you again if fate allows." The old man’s voice drifted away along with the vintage car.

Aurelia found this remark rather perplexing.

Watching the car drive away, Amanda Fuller was stunned, "It’s... it’s just gone?"

Aurelia patted her shoulder, "Yes!"

"Did we... rescue a rich man?" Although Amanda didn’t recognize the car, her intuition suggested it was expensive, especially if it was genuinely decades old.

"Probably." Aurelia did not think much of it, she just felt the man resembled a grandfather, so she helped without further thought; she wasn’t interested in strangers.

"Let’s go, I’m so tired."

"You actually know fatigue." Amanda glanced at the time, it was already close to midnight, they’d been searching since five in the afternoon until now.

"Aurelia, does this count as doing a good deed?" Amanda laughed.

"Probably." Aurelia responded.

They didn’t notice a black car parked not far away, a pair of cold eyes staring at the distant nanny car.

The car heading towards the mansion was intercepted by another car.

Aurelia squinted her eyes, spotting a black, understated Maserati, and immediately understood who it was.

Mason Nightshade stepped out of his car, opened the door, and extended his hand towards her, "Get out."

Amanda Fuller’s eyes widened instantly, Mason Nightshade? Was she... seeing things? The relationship between Mason Nightshade and Aurelia was... complicated, Amanda didn’t delve deeper.

As Aurelia half emerged from the vehicle, Mason’s arm wrapped around her waist, lifting her into his embrace and onto his own car.

Aurelia caught sight of Amanda’s reaction with a sidelong glance, glaring angrily at Mason, "Can you do things a little more discreetly?!"

"When is it that I haven’t been discreet in matters concerning you?" Mason calmly replied, "If I weren’t discreet, the whole world would have known you’re mine by now."

"We’re already divorced." Aurelia salted his wound.

Mason captured her chin, kissing her.

His large hand gripped her head tightly, preventing her from backing away, as she struggled against him, Mason seemed completely unfazed.

After a long while, he released her, lightly biting her swollen lips, his gaze dark and fervent.

His eyes then lifted to meet hers.

He seemed aware of his mistake, his gaze particularly appeasing, like a wolf wagging its tail, pleading for forgiveness from its master.

This act of having the upper hand yet pretending innocence was Mason Nightshade’s expertise.

Aurelia sighed in resignation, "Please don’t be like this."

Every time it seemed as though it was her mistake, but in actuality, she was always the one being taken advantage of!

"Someone was following you guys a moment ago." Mason rubbed Aurelia’s lips with his thumb, making them red and swollen, pulling her into his arms and embracing her, inhaling the pleasant aroma emanating from her, "I was tailing behind your car earlier and noticed a car keeping an eye on you, likely following the other car."

"The old man?" Aurelia quickly caught on.

It appears the old man wasn’t ordinary after all.

"They have some skills; the people I sent were unexpectedly thrown off." It’s also because his men underestimated, initially thinking he was just an ordinary person, but the other party proved highly vigilant.

"It’s probably that old man’s family, this matter has little to do with us." Aurelia said, recalling the elderly man’s fatigued expression inside the car.

Clearly, every family has its own challenges.

Mason Nightshade escorted Aurelia to the doorstep of the mansion.

Mason held Aurelia’s waist, reluctant to let go for a long while, "I hate to see you leave."

Aurelia sighed, "How have you coped these past few months without me?"
