Chapter 1295: Chapter 1295: Aurelia Shaw Imprisoned

Henry Fletcher glanced at Grayson Quinn, his eyes inscrutable, "Why would you not know why I locked her up? Look at those people who were just carried out, would a psychologically normal person do such a thing? Saving people is one thing, but the danger she poses is another matter entirely.

Do you know how dangerous it is to let someone who might have an antisocial personality disorder roam free?"

Henry Fletcher’s gaze landed on Aurelia Shaw, then swept over the knife gripped tightly in her hand. The blade was sharp, gleaming coldly, tainted red with blood. Her fingers twitched, she locked eyes with Henry Fletcher, then threw the knife to the ground and walked out first.

...

Grayson Quinn rushed to the Presidential Pavilion. Fortunately, despite the attack, Mason Nightshade and the others were unharmed. They had anticipated Left Chancellor Feng’s people, who gained nothing and ended up capturing several men of their own.

Those men had no time to bite through the poison hidden in their mouths before it was extracted, and they were imprisoned.

"Mason," Grayson panted, his face pale, hair disheveled. Seeing Mason Nightshade unharmed, he breathed a sigh of relief, but his face quickly tightened again, "Aurelia was taken by Henry Fletcher."

"Henry Fletcher? Why would he take Aurelia Shaw?" Mason found it odd. Henry Fletcher was different from his ruthless, unscrupulous father, Left Chancellor Feng. Although outwardly cold, Henry Fletcher possessed an innate military integrity.

This is why Mason Nightshade had been bold enough not to have anyone monitor Henry Fletcher.

Grayson paled slightly, "The troops’ command center was ambushed. At the time, there were only a few logistics soldiers and the First Lady. Aurelia might have been trying to protect the First Lady, so..."

Grayson didn’t need to finish. Mason Nightshade’s eyes darkened instantly. Ignoring his not fully recovered body, he marched straight to the parking lot, "To Henry Fletcher’s!" His voice was chillingly murderous.

Gustavo Yates shivered, not daring to delay.

...

Aurelia was staring her opponent down. To be honest, those dead eyes had an inherent intimidating force; when his face hardened, the imposing aura that followed was undeniable.

Aurelia had some understanding of Henry Fletcher; he liked to interrogate people with his gaze. Before he even asked, you would crack under the pressure of his eyes.

Unfortunately, that tactic didn’t work on her.

"Lieutenant General Henry, may I ask what law I’ve broken that warrants my detention here?" Aurelia’s red lips curled upwards, her eyes genuinely puzzled, seeking an answer.

This woman was quite the actress.

Henry Fletcher wouldn’t let himself be deceived by the facade this woman presented.

"You don’t know?" Henry Fletcher countered.

Aurelia pondered for a moment, "Could you give me a hint? I’m getting old and my memory’s not great."

Henry Fletcher’s lips twitched. Although his deadpan face couldn’t quite show it, getting old? A woman in her mid-twenties claiming to be old in front of him, who was nearly thirty, who was truly old?

Henry Fletcher threw a stack of photos on the table, his expression solemn, "11 people, not one whole body, either a severed finger or the entire arm is missing. How did you do it?"

"You know my boyfriend; he taught me self-defense, and I have a talent for it, so I mastered it well. Those people were no match for me." Aurelia’s red lips curled as she glanced at the psychological test questionnaire Henry Fletcher pushed towards her, her eyes deepening.

Henry Fletcher looked at her face and said, "This is a psychological test. Only those with a normal psyche can know the answers."
