Chapter 333: Chapter 98: Conclusion, and Nemo’s Transformation
With Duan Fei’s final blow to the Outer God, the dungeon at last came to a close.
He had originally intended to let Eight Desolates deal the final blow, as they had previously agreed. However, Eight Desolates refused.
While the man was certainly concerned with his reputation, he knew who had contributed the most to this dungeon. Thus, he didn’t vie for the glory of the kill.
As he left the dungeon, the post-dungeon summary appeared.
“Main Quest: Eliminate the Corruption. Complete.
After a truly epic dungeon exploration, your Level has increased from 12 to 15. Your Life Limit and Physical Limit have risen slightly. Your Spirit has increased by 5 points, Constitution by 1 point, Agility by 1 point, and Reaction by 1 point.
The effects of the Pseudo-human Extract have worn off completely, granting you an increase of 2 Power and 2 Constitution.
Within the dungeon, you received guidance from an Outer God and have obtained Divinity.

You can deepen your understanding and mastery of Divinity by interacting with various gods and divine beings.

Your event points are doubled, with an additional bonus applied.
For your efforts, your reputation has increased by 2 points (doubled by the Savior title).
And finally, thank you for your contribution.”
After reviewing the dungeon summary, Duan Fei returned to the city.
He subconsciously moved to leap toward the Divine Hall to cleanse the corruption, only to catch himself, realizing he was no longer a Slime.
‘That was a close one. I almost died of embarrassment.’
The players who had exited with him, however, weren’t so quick on the uptake. They all started hopping toward the Divine Hall, looking for all the world like a mass bunny hop. It was a spectacular sight.
Just as Duan Fei started recording the scene, planning to ensure their social demise, ceremonial cannons boomed.
The sky above the city remained dark, but it was soon filled with bursts of fireworks. Countless colorful streamers rained down from above. High-speed drones zipped through the air, their exhaust trails leaving behind intricate patterns made of a Fluorescent Agent.
Then, swarms of drones hovered in the sky, forming images of Slimes alongside a scrolling list of the admin team’s names, and a message of thanks to the players from the event planner, Gale.
NPC-run shops began offering 50% discounts, and the training grounds were opened for free for three days, much to the players’ astonishment.
What’s more, all players who participated in the event received an additional free skill point, prompting many to remark on how long it had been since the developers had been so generous.
While the players were cheerfully spending their points and Abyss Coins on a massive shopping spree, the admin team had their own work to attend to.
In an office, the corruption within Gale’s body had been cleansed, but he still needed to be kept under observation for a few days before he could leave.
Although he had to be monitored for a few more days, the fact that he had survived at all was the greatest miracle.
Moreover, launching the final, massive-scale dungeon had been a risky gambit. Setting up such a dungeon required immense resources and server capacity. Fortunately, it had been a success.
The event also proved the power of the player base. That a group of ordinary players, led by a handful of elites, could unleash such formidable strength changed the minds of many admins.
In the wake of the event, Gale was saved and a number of players had become famous. Although the admin team had poured out resources, it was a small price to pay for the life of an administrator.
Watching the celebrating players on TV, Gale, now fully recovered, smiled with weary relief. “This is a debt I’ll have a hard time repaying,” he said.
While the players celebrated, an uninvited guest appeared in Love City.
Nemo stepped out of a black hole, materializing in a dark alley.
Sensing Nemo’s arrival, a swarm of mindless insects began to gather. They carried forth a limbless, yet still stunningly beautiful, puppet.
Seeing Nemo, the insects filled the gaps where her limbs should have been. She approached with a seductive stride, tracing his jawline with her fingers. “You’ve come, my little darling,” she purred.
Nemo stared coldly at the Succubus, his gaze filled with disgust.
The Succubus, however, was used to his attitude. After all, every time Nemo was unconsciously drawn here, he would remember what happened before and be filled with loathing for both himself and her.
But soon, he would descend into endless ecstasy, further deepening the sense of depravity and thrill.
This conflict of emotions would be a vortex, pulling Nemo deeper and deeper until he could no longer escape.
However, just as the Succubus assumed today would be the same as always, Nemo’s hand suddenly shot out and clamped around her neck.
Feeling the force of his grip, the Succubus licked the corner of her mouth, a sultry smile spreading across her face.
An insect crawled out of her throat, then burrowed back in through her nostril. After swallowing it, the Succubus asked, “Feeling like playing something a little different today?”
“Shut up, you useless piece of junk!”
“Oh my. And who was it that was so utterly captivated by me? Wait—what are you doing!”
Nemo’s hand plunged straight through the Succubus’s chest and closed around her core.
With her fragile core in his grasp, immense panic and terror washed over the Succubus. She trembled uncontrollably. “You’re not Nemo!” she cried out. “Who are you!”
“I’m still Nemo. But the Clockmaker died inside me, enhancing my power and allowing me to glimpse a part of the truth. Because of that truth, I can now hear the whispers of the Abyss. And it’s all your fault, you wretch!”
The Succubus immediately tried to fight back, swarms of insects winding around Nemo’s body. But with just a slight squeeze from Nemo, the shock to her core made her scream in agony.
“Please don’t, Lord Nemo,” the Succubus pleaded, tears streaming down her face. “What happened before was my fault, but I had my reasons.”
“Shut up. And die.”
Realizing Nemo was truly about to crush her core, the Succubus’s face went pale with terror.
Her seductive demeanor vanished in an instant. Her expression and tone shifted completely as she said seriously, “Wait. I can be useful.”
The hand gripping her core loosened slightly.
Just as the Succubus felt a flicker of hope, Nemo swiftly produced a doll. He plucked a single strand of hair from it, inserted the hair into the Succubus’s core, then put the doll back into his inventory.
‘The Curse is now in place. A link has been forged between the Succubus and my doll. It’ll be much more convenient to make use of her now.’
Withdrawing his hand, Nemo disgustedly wiped the machine oil from his palm onto the Succubus’s body. “Speak,” he said. “You’d better actually be useful.”
His action infuriated the Succubus, but knowing her life was in his hands, she could only say with humiliation, “I know how to block the whispers of the Abyss, to slow your descent toward the end.”
“Go. Take me there.”
Having experienced failure, control, and Possession, only to finally break free from them all, Nemo’s Spirit had grown immensely.
Especially after witnessing the truth, his will had been greatly tempered, pushing him one step closer to the Madhouse.
