Chapter 2469 2469: You Haven't Even Married Him Yet, and You're Already Speaking Up for Him
Seeing Ling Jinhua with a playful look, Luo Ziling could only say again, “If someone could take care of them, that would be great.”
“Do you think it’s so easy for Chen Ruchang and his two sons to die?” Ling Jinhua squinted his eyes again.
“Of course, it’s not easy.” Luo Ziling sighed, “So, many thoughts can only be thoughts, merely a fleeting moment of rage. And often, despite desperately wanting to kill the opponent, you still have to face them with a smile, even addressing each other as brothers, even when you really hate them.”
“You’re quite insightful for someone so young.”
“When you go through more things, you gain more insights. If I were like my other cousins, living smooth and easy lives all these years, then there’s no way I’d have so many thoughts.” Luo Ziling spoke frankly.
“What’s the best outcome for the Chen father-son trio, in your opinion?”
“Just to leave things as they are now.” Luo Ziling expressed the opinions he’d previously shared with Ling Ruonan.
Chen Yining is not criminally punished, remains in the Chen Family but holds no position.
In that case, he would definitely clash with his father and brother; it might even be possible to use Chen Yining to weaken the Chen Family’s influence.
“Lately, the Chen Family has been pairing up one bad move after another; I think internal strife is quite normal for them. There’s almost no chance that Chen Yining will bury the hatchet with his father and brother.” Luo Ziling confidently stated.
After hearing Luo Ziling’s words, Ling Jinhua showed some appreciation but only nodded without immediately responding.
Luo Ziling continued, “I feel that in terms of ability and magnanimity, Chen Ruchang can’t compare to the heads of the other families. Though I haven’t had direct contact with him, these occurrences reveal that. Now he’s hospitalized, and no one knows what’s next. If his condition worsens, there’ll be no one in the Chen Family to hold the fort. If Chen Yining and Chen Yijing clashed again, the Chen Family would fall. With the Chen Family’s decline, people will surely seize the opportunity for interests. Whoever gets the most interests wins.”
At this, Luo Ziling paused before saying, “I think if it really ends up like this, the Ling Family might gain more interests.”
Ling Jinhua looked up at Luo Ziling, “Are these your ideas, or were they your mom’s suggestions?”
“These are my own ideas.”
“Looks like your grandfather indeed has quite a unique insight.” Ling Jinhua smiled again.
Luo Ziling laughed sheepishly, “I just like to fantasize aimlessly.”
Ling Jinhua didn’t express much on the matter regarding the Chen Family apart from showing slight approval.
Finally, he suggested that Luo Ziling should go about his own business instead of accompanying an old man.
Luo Ziling thoughtfully proposed to take his leave.
As he left the Yang Family Old House, he called Yang Qingyin to ask where she was.
Earlier in the morning, Luo Ziling messaged Yang Qingyin saying he planned to visit Yang Yuanshan, asking if she would like to join.
Yang Qingyin agreed without hesitation.
Nearing noon, she messaged Luo Ziling again, saying Yang Yuanshan was free in the afternoon and would be at the Old House.
After leaving Ling Jinhua’s place, Luo Ziling planned to visit Yang Yuanshan, with Yang Qingyin accompanying him.
Half an hour later, Luo Ziling saw Yang Qingyin outside the Yang Family Old House, and they went into the courtyard together.
Yang Yuanshan was in a shaded part of the courtyard, reviewing documents, and motioned for them to sit down upon seeing Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin arrive.
He didn’t ask Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin to leave; he continued reviewing several documents in their presence and then handed them to the secretary.
After finishing this, he turned his attention back to Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin.
“Grandpa, you seem to be in worse shape than before. Have you been very busy lately?” Yang Qingyin asked Yang Yuanshan with a hint of concern, “Are you taking your medication on time?”
“It’s alright, I feel my health is okay.” Yang Yuanshan chuckled, “Knowing you’re back safe, I feel relieved.”
“Grandpa worries about having no one to help treat you?” Yang Qingyin joked.
“That’s part of it,” Yang Yuanshan didn’t deny, “but of course, more worried about any accidents happening to you there; any mishap would have been quite troublesome.”
“Thanks, Sir Yang, for your concern.” After expressing gratitude, Luo Ziling quickly suggested checking Yang Yuanshan’s health to see if treatment was needed.
Yang Yuanshan’s health was alright; though he’d only been on medication for some time without treatment, this time treatment was indeed required.
With Yang Qingyin’s assistance, Luo Ziling treated Yang Yuanshan for about forty minutes.
During treatment, both ended up breaking a sweat.
After the sweat, Yang Yuanshan appeared much healthier.
“Feeling a lot better,” Yang Yuanshan smiled, “Your medical skills are truly amazing. I’ve instructed the relevant personnel to ensure your impressive medical skills are widely spread to benefit more people. I suppose you wouldn’t refuse to let more people learn these amazing medical skills, right?”
“Thanks for your concern, Sir Yang.” Luo Ziling expressed gratitude again and bashfully said, “Of course, we hope traditional medicine flourishes, but learning these things depends on a person’s comprehension. Traditional medicine is experiential medicine; it requires a higher degree of talent. Moreover, it requires skillful hands. Without exceptional conditions, mastering amazing acupuncture skills isn’t easy. Moreover, to perform such acupuncture requires some internal martial arts practice, because it involves using energy to perform acupuncture. In other words, one must learn internal martial arts, commonly known as internal skills, at an early age to master acupuncture.”
“Meaning, when you want to teach acupuncture, you also decide based on the person? Those with potential can learn acupuncture?”
“Yes, those with potential can master acupuncture, but it’s hard to ensure how proficient they will be. Basic acupuncture can be learned by anyone interested, though effects vary in treatment.” Yang Yuanshan’s interest in the matter made Luo Ziling curious.
He understood that someone like Yang Yuanshan had more than mere interest when showing concern; there must be some special purpose.
He interpreted Yang Yuanshan’s concern as good intentions toward him, which made him quite happy.
“Hopefully among the Yanjing University students, you encounter a few with good potential to spread these wonderful medical skills further.” Yang Yuanshan smiled, “If under your guidance, traditional medicine reaches higher, special levels, you’ll be remembered in history and revered by future generations.”
“Thank you for the encouragement, Sir Yang, I will keep striving hard.”
Yang Qingyin seemed to realize something and shyly requested Yang Yuanshan to care for Luo Ziling so that he might achieve more success.
“Not even married to him, you’re already speaking up for him?” Yang Yuanshan looked at Yang Qingyin with affection.
Yang Qingyin’s face instantly turned red.
