The Wizard's Pursuit of Truth

Chapter 316 - 195: Building the Dream Territory, Experimental Variables, The Four Reunite

Wind Shadow Particle Energy, Wanjie Particle Energy, and Black Sun Particle Energy all offered new directions for Wang Ya’s experiments on the property changes of Particle Energy.

The Black Sun Particle Energy system was especially well-documented. There were detailed records covering everything from the Wizard Apprentice to the Official Wizard stages, including the changes and intensity of Black Sun particles at different points in time. It also documented various methods for using the Black Sun Particle Energy to beneficially radiate the body, improve physical attributes, and in turn, enhance the strength of one’s Extraordinary Spiritual Power.

Completing the first variable experiment took Wang Ya about four months.

The process could not be shortened. The Virtual Laboratory’s function was tied to Wang Ya’s Extraordinary Spiritual Power. He could only manage half an hour of experimental time each day, and that was only possible because he consumed Dream Creatures on a daily basis.

In order to maintain the strength of his Extraordinary Spiritual Power, he even had the audacity to go to the Illusory Dream Wizard and ask for some Golden Ant Rice.

Wang Ya also asked for some seeds, preparing to plant them in his Dream Territory to see if he could successfully cultivate them.

As for managing his Dream Territory, after completing his daily virtual experiments, he would enter the Dream World to capture Dream Creatures.

At the same time, he increased his absorption of Dream Power, allowing his Dream Territory to further expand and solidify.

Without those Dream Creatures for nourishment, Wang Ya would have been unable to afford the daily toll of his experiments in the Virtual Laboratory.

The cold wind from outside blew across Wang Ya’s cheeks. A wistful look filled his eyes. "Another autumn is here."

A sense of immense, desolate loneliness welled up inside him.

The autumn wind carried fallen leaves, letting them drift around the Ancient Castle before sweeping them up toward the sky.

Wang Ya returned to his study, sat in his chair, and began to log the details of his experiment and calculate the data.

Loneliness was something every Wizard had to endure. In the process, a Wizard’s Heart would be continuously polished and perfected.

In their short lives, mortals had to endure the Eight Sufferings: birth, aging, sickness, death, separation from loved ones, unfulfilled desires, association with the detested, and the clinging to worldly things. These trials often meant a mortal lived their entire life in torment, only for it to end when they returned to the earth, all troubles ceasing.

Wizards were long-lived beings who had ascended step-by-step from mortality to the Extraordinary. They, too, experienced the Eight Sufferings, and in fact, far more.

The desolation born from prolonged solitude was what tormented a person most.

Even Official Wizards were not immune to mental stress.

....

The ’Night Night Night’ Wizard Tavern.

"Wang Ya, you’re here. It’s been a while."

They were in the same familiar private room. After coming out of seclusion, Wang Ya had participated in the exploration of the Black Sun Ruins. Now, looking at the two before him who had changed so much, he felt a sense of disorientation as his memories of their younger selves overlapped with the present, making it feel like yesterday.

Wang Ya smiled and replied to Mas, "It’s been a long time."

Mas had grown from the boy he once was into a tall, well-built young man. His face, covered with a beard, looked very mature. His gaze was incredibly sharp, his aura was profound, and his physique was powerful. He held no secrets from Wang Ya’s discerning eyes.

He had the Power of a Level 2 Wizard Apprentice with a Spiritual Power Value of around 24, and it seemed he was still on the path of a War Body Wizard.

Wang Ya knew that after the competition in the Secret Realm had ended, Mas had gone to take a position in the Wizard City instead of remaining at the academy.

Thanks to his stipend and the resources gained from occasionally accepting Wizard Tasks, his Power had increased at a pace considered fast among their batch of Wizard Freshmen.

But compared to Wang Ya and the other genius Wizards, he was still far behind.

This was simply how things were.

Everyone’s choices and circumstances were different.

And Wang Ya was not one to interfere with another’s decisions.

Mona’s figure had grown more mature and fiery. Her large, bright eyes, which seemed to shimmer like water, were fixed on Wang Ya with a smile. She sat at an angle on the sofa with her legs pressed together, her voluptuous hips leaving an indent in the cushion.

She was the manager of Harak’s Store, where her compensation was generous. She was also provided with a full, double allotment of standard resources.

Mona had indeed kept Harak’s Store in perfect order. Furthermore, with the successful training of two Potion Wizards, the store’s profits continued to climb.

The Antuun Clan had grown closer to Wang Ya, partly due to their alliance and the shared benefits from the Black Sun Ruins, and partly because of Kelan Wizard’s involvement. As a result, Harak’s Store and some of the Antuun Clan’s businesses had entered into a commercial partnership.

Some of the store’s Wizard Potions, unique products, and the occasional Dream Creature were all shipped to the Wizard Cities surrounding the clan’s headquarters.

On more than one occasion, Hades had jealously remarked that he wanted Mona to come back and run Hades’ Store so he could take a backseat.

As for Zack Antuun... Kaze Antuun had said that his Power was still at the Level 2 Wizard Apprentice stage. After learning about the Black Sun Ruins, he had immediately gone into deep seclusion.

"Whoops, looks like I’m late! Have you been waiting long?" A bustling figure burst through the door, having bypassed the Witch Array Protection, a brilliant smile on his face.

The carefree demeanor and familiar, booming voice made the three others in the room smile.

"Look what I brought for you all."

He placed the cups of Wizard’s Beverages from the tray in his hands onto the table. Gray wiped his hands, brushed a lock of hair from his eyes, and flashed a vibrant smile.
