Chapter 1056: Nosy Women

Chapter 1056: Nosy Women

Actually, Cyrena had been very depressed over the past couple of weeks. She knew she wouldn't get to spend a day with Vaan like the rest of his women. As such, she was suddenly overwhelmed with surprise and happiness when Vaan asked her out for the day.

In the morning, Cyrena's stomach was full of butterflies as she tried on different sets of dresses in front of her wardrobe mirror with anticipation, hoping to look her best for their date. She wanted to impress Vaan with her beauty.

Unfortunately, Cyrena was unfamiliar with fashion and beauty trends, so she was also at a loss regarding what looked good or not. After all, what she appreciated might not be the same for others.

Meanwhile, Astoria and the others gathered outside her room, trying to spy on Cyrena's situation.

They weren't usually so nosy about other women's businesses. However, they were strangely united in their interest in Cyrena's love life. After all, they had all seen how hard she had been working to support Vaan and everyone through Potioneering.

More importantly, she was one of the earliest ladies to follow Vaan. As such, they had all noticed her feelings long ago. It was quite funny that she was the only person who didn't realize how obvious it was to the people around her.

Naturally, it had been Astoria's idea to gather everyone and push for their relationship. Despite that, no one was against her idea.

It had all become clear to them that Cyrena could not achieve a breakthrough in her relationship on her own. As such, everyone was completely on board with giving her the push she needed.

Of course, they would have been more than happy to watch Cyrena's relationship progress at her own pace. However, they no longer had the luxury of time to watch, especially since Vaan was preparing to enter a broader world full of dangers to advance his power for the sake of everyone.

As such, they had to ensure a breakthrough in their relationship before that happened.

After all, there was no telling how long Vaan would take to reach his desired level of power in the Myriad Sea God Palace, not to mention there wasn't any guarantee he would survive its brutal competition.

As such, Astoria and the others simply couldn't let Cyrena's heart remain unfulfilled. They were all touched by her sincere feelings and regarded her as a fellow sister, even if she had yet to join the harem.

From everyone's perspective, Cyrena had always been one of them.

Although no one doubted Cyrena's sincere feelings toward Vaan, she was young, beautiful, talented, and had a lot of admirers. It was hard to say what the test of time would change if there weren't any solid foundations to retain her feelings.

No one wanted to risk Cyrena, who everyone had already acknowledged, falling for anyone else during Vaan's absence. How could anyone accept that?

As the saying goes – Good things should be kept within the family.

…

While Astoria and the others were spying with clairvoyance magic or eavesdropping with their ears against the wall, Cyrena was too caught up in her joy to notice them outside her room.

As the stipulated time of her meeting with Vaan approached, Cyrena eventually settled for a white dress, which represented purity, innocence, peace, and simplicity, among other things.

After confirming her present appearance, Cyrena patted her cheeks with both hands, working up her courage and igniting her fighting spirit.

Today was her big day.

While it was a date, it was also her greatest battle yet. She didn't intend to remain passive now that Vaan had expressed his interest, even if it was out of pity.

No, it was precisely because it was out of pity that she had to be proactive today. She didn't want Vaan's love out of pity; she wanted his genuine love. To do that, she had to be proactive and tug at his heartstrings. 𝙍АƝọᛒƐ𝓒

The opportunity had already presented itself. She didn't want to hide her feelings anymore. The fuse on it was already lit, so it was time to let it burn brightly.

Astoria and the others quickly scurried away from the door when they realized Cyrena was about to leave her bedroom. Afterward, they secretly followed her from a distance.

"Did anyone find out their date's schedule today?" Astoria suddenly asked the group.

However, Eniwse and the others shook their head.

Only Vaan would know about the date's schedule since he invited Cyrena out for the day. Naturally, he would have planned it himself. As such, unless someone asked him about it, no one else would know.

Astoria clicked her tongue and said, "It seems we'll be very busy today. We can't let anyone bother them and ruin their date."

Whether it was Vaan or Cyrena, both of them were practically celebrities in Sunpeak City, with the former being many times more prominent. Their presence would attract countless fans and worshippers around them.

"I can impose martial law on the city and restrict everyone from leaving their homes for today," Aeliana indifferently suggested.

The corners of Astoria's lips twitched before she replied, "That… would be too much."

If everyone were confined to their homes, all businesses would cease operations, and the city would also lose its liveliness.

How could Vaan and Cyrena enjoy their date then?

"Maybe we can cast illusion magic to make them unrecognizable to other people?" Henrietta seriously suggested as she scribbled some words in her small notebook. She didn't know why, but she was fully invested in the matter.

"That might work, but Vaan would definitely notice us if we cast illusion magic around them," Eniwse thought before adding, "More importantly, there's no way he wouldn't have thought about this problem."

"Perhaps he has already figured out a way around it or has other plans, and what we are doing is completely unnecessary?" Eniwse guessed.

…

As the time until Cyrena's meeting with Vaan shortened, Astoria and the others ultimately decided to observe the situation and act accordingly.

"Alright, let's do that," the ladies agreed.

There was no point in planning countermeasures for city problems if the date ended up elsewhere. After all, meeting up in the city didn't necessarily mean the date would also be there.

"Let's move now. Take your positions, Sisters. I'll take the north."

"Then, I'll take the east."

"West is mine."
