The Villain's Story

Chapter 719 719: How to kill a thunder giant.(3).

Alexander’s efforts were not in vain, for the giant on lightning finally stumbled as a massive blast, the effect of [Raijin] exploded in its ear.

A roar of pain engulfed the entire realm as the giant pranced around, causing earthquakes and giving Olivia, Edward and Sabrina a hell of a time trying to stay on the body of the rampaging giant.

A cascade of blue scalding blood and flesh, along with pieces of skin rained from above, regardless of how much Alexander tried to avoid it, he was unable to escape the blast from Raijin itself, and even though he had a great resistance to it… The aftermath hit him like a meteor.

The blood burned his skin, the hot flesh tore through his muscles, and he helplessly fell towards the bottom, unable to get a grip on the giant once more. What was worse, he could not even scream as the pain was simply too much.

Fortunately, Abalak managed to catch him in time, just moments before he hit the ground. Although one was not able to see the spirit knight’s face due to the helmet, he was grimacing at the site of Alexander’s body.

“You need more than just a potion…”

The only saving grace was that Alexander was alive, and had not suffered as much pain as one would expect. Luckily, as strange as it sounded, the blood and flesh had burned his nerves in a flash, resulting in momentary, immense pain.

Nothing long-term, but if Alexander was left like that, he would certainly perish. Abalak now faced two conflicting choices, either discard Alexander’s body after giving him a painless death, or get him to either Olivia or Sabrina, who should have some potions and potent healing magic to save his life.

The first option, ironically, was the most logical, since Alexander would be revived outside due to the effects of the array. But Abalak struggled, it was simply inhumane. He couldn’t do it.

“Hold on, just a little more.”

In the end, he opted to bring the wounded boy to Sabrina, she was the only one with a stable footing and platform whilst Olivia was currently involved in her own turmoil. The best choice was Alan… but Abalak was unsure if the dragon could spare any time at the moment to heal his comrade with his flames.

Abalak hesitantly gazed upwards, and was in awe of the battle up above. The [Supreme Meteor] was now unhindered. The mass of pure magic and power dove through the skies now that there was nothing to interrupt its divine descent. Kizmal had been struck too deep, and too heavily, to offer any resistance at the moment.

Albeit, it came with a heavy cost. The meteor collided with the giant’s face, breaking its nose and sending quite a few teeth down. The mass of raw power exploded right at the giant’s face, and down came a storm of rock, steel, and ice.

“Goodness…”

The giant roared in pain, each roar turned the tide of the wind against Abalak, and the spirit of wind that was his current steed struggled to combat it. Kizmal continued to roar, and it made the ascent to their healer even more difficult, and not to mention the countless drops of scalding blue flame and giant flesh as well as the remains of Supreme Meteor.

The two dragons, ignorant of it all, soared through the skies, and fought with Kizmal vigorously, but even they were at their wits end. Abalak sighed as looked at Alexander once more, a faint cough escaped the torched lips, and as the knight struggled to stay stable on the spirit of the wind…

He sighed, and crushed Alexander’s head with his lance.

“Rest now.”

But he could not bear to discard Alexander’s body, but as much as he tried to keep it with him, the realm was no easy adversary. The battle between the giant and dragons was too fierce, the wind eventually took Alexander away as Abalak watched helplessly.

A piece of the supreme meteor collided with Alexander, and that was the last Abalak saw of in this battle.

[Alexander is dead.]

He conveyed to Olivia through the bond between a spirit and their master, as well as to everyone else with the help of the spell. He knew Olivia would have a hard time processing it, and would be unable to report it.

Furthermore, he made his way towards the girl, not to console her in any way, but to help her with her task. Right now… every second was important.

Especially because Alan was in a dire predicament. Kizmal had let out a roar of fury, and unleashed his mana not in the form of an attack, but rather as light. Light aimed directly at only one dragon, and right in his face as well.

Alan had been blinded, and he and Kizmal knew how vulnerable it made him. He tried to get out of the way, as far as he could, but he was too late, the giant was as fast as lightning and caught his tail moments prior to his escape.

It had figured out the trick to instantaneous teleportation.

Kazikato’s eyes widened as he rushed to help, unleashing breath after breath, but to no avail. No amount of rot would help Alan escape Kizmal’s clutches. Unaware of what to do, Kazikato transformed into a Draconian and rushed at the hands of the titan, his scythe in hand.

He wanted to cut the muscles, the tendons…whatever would free Alan, but he was far too late. Kizmal ripped Alan’s tail from his body and continued to rip him in half as Kazikato and everyone else watched on.

This wasn’t anything like Alexander’s death, this was one everyone could see, and horror and wrath overcame them like a tidal wave as Alan’s body was ripped in half.

But that was not the end, As the pieces of flesh began to mend one another and the white scales began to be cleansed of blood…. Kizmal clapped his hands together, with Alan in between.

It was a finishing blow, one that crushed Alan’s dragon heart like it was glass, and not an incredibly durable crystal.

It was no amateur, it knew how to kill a dragon, the bane of it’s race.

And just like that, two of their heavy hitters, who had done the most damage up to this point were dead, and the giant rejoiced in glee.
