With a clear modification plan in mind, an abundance of Undead materials and Metal on hand, and Tooth Bone being an expert at repairs and custom mods, the work was both swift and precise.

Before long, the two SUVs were completely modified. They had shed their original, basic appearance and now exuded a ferocious, doomsday Undead aura.

The most obvious change from this modification was the complete removal of the doors and windows on both sides of the SUVs. Aside from the driver’s seat, which was kept to facilitate vehicle control, all other seats were also dismantled.

The purpose behind this was crystal clear: to reduce the vehicles’ weight as much as possible, laying the foundation to later improve their driving speed and ramming power. After all, excess weight would only hinder performance.

At the same time, the vehicles’ axles and chassis were also heavily reinforced. Tooth Bone used thick Beast Bones and reinforced scrap iron plates to weld and fortify these two critical areas, wrapping them layer by layer.

This ensured the vehicles wouldn’t easily fall apart when ramming enemies or crushing obstacles, allowing them to stably withstand the resulting impact and avoid having combat operations affected by structural damage.

Finally, Tooth Bone installed a row of sharp ramming horns on the front bumpers. Half of these horns were Metal spikes sharpened to a point, while the other half were Bone Spikes carved from hard Beast Bones.

The two materials were arranged in an alternating pattern, glinting with a cold light. The goal was to maximize the lethality of the vehicles when ramming, enabling them to inflict greater damage on enemies and obstacles alike.

During the modification process, Tooth Bone had also proposed an idea: to remove the hoods and weave simple replacements from the thick roots of Strong Root Grass, which could be found everywhere around the Graveyard Demon’s domain. This would further reduce weight while still providing some protection.

However, Gu Su ultimately rejected this proposal. He had his own plans for the hoods; they were not something he could do without.

After both SUVs were properly modified and tested, Gu Su had Tooth Bone move on to the remaining pickup trucks, vans, and heavy trucks. At the same time, he clearly laid out the modification requirements for each vehicle type, ensuring Tooth Bone would precisely meet his needs without making any unnecessary alterations.

For the five pickup trucks, Gu Su’s requirements were clear: prioritize an increase in movement speed. Regardless of how much cargo was loaded in the bed, the vehicles had to remain agile and fast. Their mobility could not be significantly compromised by the load, as pickups were primarily for patrols and short-distance supply transport, making speed the core requirement.

The three vans, on the other hand, were to be focused on carrying capacity. Gu Su instructed Tooth Bone to maximize their interior space by removing all unnecessary components, ensuring they could cram in enough Undead Soldiers to facilitate the collective deployment and rapid reinforcement of a 25-man combat team, thus maximizing their troop transport role.

As for the two heavy trucks, they were the absolute top priority of this modification project, and Gu Su’s requirements for them were the strictest.

They had to have sufficiently large cargo beds and extremely high carrying capacity to transport massive amounts of supplies, Undead remains, or Undead Soldiers. At the same time, their stability had to be maintained to avoid breakdowns from excessive loads. After all, the heavy trucks were the core force for future Scavenging and supply transport.

Aside from these core requirements, Gu Su didn’t impose many restrictions on the other details. He trusted Tooth Bone’s craftsmanship and felt no need to give excessive instructions.

By now, Gu Su’s attention was entirely focused on the two recently modified SUVs.

Compared to when he had just brought them back from the processing plant, these two SUVs had undergone a world-shaking transformation. The ferocious ramming horns, exposed frames, and reinforced chassis all exuded a fierce, combat-ready aura.

But what Gu Su was truly focused on wasn’t these external modifications. It was the vehicles’ current state and their compatibility with the Elite Skeleton Warriors.

The ten Elite Skeleton Warriors had already split into two five-man squads as previously assigned and boarded the two modified SUVs.

In each vehicle, one Elite Skeleton Warrior sat in the driver’s seat, hands gripping a steering wheel fashioned from a leg bone, ready to drive. The other four each held their weapons, half-squatting in the empty spaces on either side of the vehicle. Their forms were stable, and although their posture looked rather odd and was completely different from how one would normally ride in a car, they were seated with perfect stability, not wobbling in the slightest.

However, the observant Gu Su soon discovered a problem.

There was a distinct sense of separation between the Elite Skeleton Warriors and the SUVs they occupied. They were merely sitting in the vehicles.

They didn’t treat the vehicles as extensions of themselves, showing not even a shred of belonging. It was as if these vehicles were merely temporary transportation, completely unrelated to them.

This was clearly not the state Gu Su was aiming for.

The entire reason he was using the Five Ghosts Spirit Communication Record on these Elite Skeleton Warriors was to forge them into a cohesive unit and create a more powerful combat force.

And this unit wasn’t just about the five Elite Skeleton Warriors acting as one; more importantly, they needed a corresponding mode of transport.

Otherwise, how could the Five Ghosts possibly move heavy objects, deliver items, or charge into battle?

If they had to rely on the Elite Skeleton Warriors running on foot, at their current speed, it would take an unknown amount of time to reach a combat zone. They would be completely unable to provide timely reinforcements or participate in the fight.

And that was to say nothing of the carrying capacity of the five Elite Skeleton Warriors themselves.

Gu Su was also well aware that he possessed no means of making these Skeleton Warriors fly, nor did he have some ability to summon Black Wind and dark clouds to instantly transport his Undead Team.

To complete the Five Ghosts Spirit Communication technique, he needed vehicles.

But as things stood, these Elite Skeleton Warriors did not accept the two newly modified SUVs. They even showed a faint sense of rejection toward them.

Gu Su understood that this rejection couldn’t be overcome by force. If he tried to forcibly bind them to the vehicles and they developed a strong sense of resistance, not only would they fail to form the Five Ghosts Squad, but the Elite Skeleton Warriors themselves might be destroyed in the process.

And that would be a rather pathetic outcome.

Fortunately, Gu Su had never been an inflexible or stubborn player. Faced with this dilemma, he didn’t get bogged down. Instead, he quickly calmed himself, his thoughts racing, and soon arrived at a new idea.

He stared at the SUVs and the Elite Skeleton Warriors, instantly seeing the crux of the problem.

’The Elite Skeleton Warriors are rejecting them because they see these things as vehicles.’

’So what if I change my approach?’

’What if this thing wasn’t a cold vehicle, but a tomb?’
